Jesslan's Tutorial For Installing Babyz Files Into Your Game

***IMPORTANT NOTE***
By following these instructions you are doing so at your own risk!!

PLEASE be careful when working with your Windows Explorer.  It's so easy to accidentally move a folder into another folder or worse.  And if you do that it's very possible it will screw up your entire computer.  This is why I have not made this tutorial earlier, it's so easy to accidentally screw something up.

First you need to open up your Windows Explorer, look to the left for the general idea of where to find it.  It's possible it will not be exactly where mine is, but search through your options of software and you'll find it.

Once your Windows Explorer is open this is what it will look like.  Where you find the folder for the 'Babyz' game will depend on where you put the game in your hard drive when you (or a parent) installed it

I put it in a separate folder by itself on the main C Drive to help find it easier because I'm always adding new files to it or hexing with files.

The game itself suggests you put it into the folder entitled 'Programs'.  So it's possible you'll find yours there.  Simply look throughout all of the folders to find the folder entitled 'Babyz'.

Once you find your Babyz folder click on it to open it up and you'll see what I show to the left.  To install a baby you need to put the unzipped babyz file into the folder that says Grandma's House.

Close out your Windows Explorer and start your game and ta da... there's your baby! :)  (Remember if you put it into the Grandma's House folder you'll need to retrieve it from there.  If you put it into the 'Adopted Babyz' folder it'll be there when you open up the game.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Sometimes if the creator of the baby you're installing has put hexed clothes on them when they send the baby to you and it can interfere with your games performance.  Meaning your baby will not show up in your game.  If possible, ask them to redress the baby in game clothes and then resend the baby.  Hopefully that will fix the problem.
  • The only other reason for a baby not showing up in the game is that the creator possibly made an error somewhere in hexing it or the file somehow became corrupted.  If that's the case you can ask around to see if anyone could take a look at the file for you and see if they can fix it.  (Unfortunately, there's only one person I know of who could that and she's no longer in the BC.)  So the baby may have to be re-created to get rid of the bug.  You could also ask if the creator has a separate/different copy of the baby somewhere.  Hopefully a second copy won't be corrupted.
