A Journey For A Lifetime

One of the blissful days in every human lives is to have a warm and loving family. And I am so fortunate to have one…

I am Elbert D. Young and proud to say that I’m a product of love of my parents. My mother is Rosario Dy Guaso Young, she’s a nurse and working at the Binalbagan Infirmary up to now. And my father is Elbert C. Young, he’s a Business man. My mother gave birth to me last December 15, 1992 at exactly 7:00 in the morning in Himamaylan Hospital. It was Tuesday then. I have a sister and her name is Roselle D. Young she’s also a registered Nurse and currently working in RHU. I grew up in Barangay San Teodoro Binalbagan Negros Occidental it was my grandmother’s house. I started pre-school in the Fellowship Baptist School, at the age of 3, just like any other kids I enjoyed playing, riding bicycle, sleeping and eating. Years passed my family transfer residency to Bacolod City. I started grade 1, 2 and 3 at La Consolacion College Elementary Department Bacolod City. Here I’ve meet many friends. And we played a lot. Living in the city is difficult I need to adjust to their environment. My grandmother needs someone to be with her so my mother, sister and I decided to go back in Binalbagan. Also I need to continue my schooling here. I enrolled as a grade 4 pupil at Binalbagan Catholic College Elementary Department. I’ve met a new set of friends here again. New environment of the school and still adjusting. I also finish my elementary days is Binalbagan Catholic College. Ready to start my High School days also in Binalbagan Catholic College High School Department. During my high school days, I gained more confidence for myself to make more improvement. I started joining different club activities. I can say that high school was one of the highlights in my life that I will never forget and I think everybody does. So, I thank God for all the blessings and gifts that he bestowed upon me. During these days I learned that I really have to be independent, more responsible and mature as well. High school days was indeed a very challenging and yet gratifying years in my life. You really can’t predict what will happen next. Everyday is an adventure. The same goes with love and it strikes me three times in a row. Love really makes you off-balanced. But I’m not this whole right now if it wasn’t for them. Experienced is still the best mentor, really. I graduated my high school at the year 2010. My days started in USLS bad. I get distracted with the environment. And I failed a lot in there. That was my down moment in my life. And I’m glad that my mother came and picks me up again and helps me to recover for that moment. One day me and my mother settle down and talk, I decided to continue my studies my college in Binalbagan Catholic College as an Information Technology student. Presently I’m already on my 3rd year college here and and my only wish right now is to finish my studies. Let me end this with a quote:

“It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish”
