Traffic Problems |
From the survey, we have identified that the main traffic problem at SIGS is caused by is parents (50.0%) and bus drivers ( 37.4%). Only 7.7 % of the respondents said that students who walk to school cause traffic problems. Teachers cause minimum traffic problem as only 4.9% of the respondents blamed them for the traffic problems. |

Car and Bus Drivers |
The main traffic problem at SIGS is because of drivers who are intolerant and self centred. This constitute 33.7% of traffic problems. This is followed by students who loiter at the side of the road. Students also are the culprits as they get off at the front gate that blocks the entrance of other vehicles. (26%). Finally, 11% of the traffic problems are caused by students who do not use the zebra crossing. |

Besides that, car and bus drivers carry out almost the same traffic offences. They park / stop their vehicles haphazardly which block the traffic flow. Moreover, a few drivers would stop at the entrance to alight and fetch students while some do not follow the lanes accordingly. Road users fail to be courteous and civic minded. They are impatient, do not give way to other drivers and drive recklessly. |

us drivers too often drop off their students opposite the school along Abdul Rahman Andak Road. Students then have to dash across the road as vehicles are coming from both sides of the road. This is another dangerous situation for students. |

Another interesting discovery is that 63% of the respondents said that they do not use the zebra crossing. This fact also reflects the most common traffic offence by students, which is jaywalking (50.4%). The next most common traffic offence by students is that they block the cars and the buses. (22.0%) This is closely followed by students that stand at the entrance and students who do not walk in a single line,15.9% and 11.8% respectively. |
