EDUCATIONAL FOCI

My current foci tend towards improving my Project Management skills and toolbag. Certification as a registered PE and certified PMP will direct my engineering management career in the direction I desire to take it.

My Industrial & Systems MS was heavily focused on location science theory and applications, and I have been able to use a large portion of these teachings in my facilities engineering project role in the past five years. My graduate thesis was a theoretical location problem for 1-median problems on spherical surfaces, a topic that had not been investigated since it's original introduction into the science in 1977. I have been conceptually developing a land-based variant of the STK for defining and resolving antenna locations, obscura data, and radiation profiles for a potential project with AFSCN as it follows my graduate work so closely and is very technical, challenging, intellectually interesting, and potentially profitable. Additional courses such as operations and project management have allowed me to be more successful as a Project Engineer, and have pushed me into the fields that I enjoy so much now.

My elective courses in Mechanical Engineering tended towards physics applications of mechanical engineering technology, notably advanced fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and propulsion systems design. I was heavily involved in my school's Army ROTC program through my undergraduate career as well, as I worked through the cadet staff ranks to hold both the battalion XO and Commander slots, and a Distinguished Military Graduate.

I intend to continue my professional education over the next few years, through classroom and online courses as well as professional independent study. My current programmatic interests include obscura and RF emission relational database solutions, Civil Engineering, Theoretical and Quantum Physics, and Business Administration with a technology focus.
