Why modify the original map?
1. To change the proportions of the map size so that it could fit on the 2m by 1m table. This allows better access for the 9 - 18 players.
2. Stretching the original map (see right) resulted in having large areas on the periphery and small areas in the centre. (Playing around Greece was difficult.) In the modified map (above), the proportions have been deliberately changed to make the bigger areas smaller and the smaller areas larger.
Apart from areas being distorted, the map is the same as the original map.
3. The AST table and cards have been removed to avoid them being accidently disturbed by players during the course of the game.
