Website Idea - Undecided on name, further brainstorming needed. Current Candidates: Destroyer-RC, TQRC (Top Qualifier RC), PodiumCult

Summary - A (possible affiliate) webstore that sells top-shelf Competition RC products with video reviews of its products

Content - One stop webstore with Self Produced photo/video and product descriptions (with pros and cons) as well as Manufacturer provided photos and product descriptions, news area with competition schedules and current competitor rankings and resources for different organizations

Competition - similar style to sportbiketrackgear.com (not an RC retailer but relevant for its style) Pros-video reviews, they only sell products they use, followup reviews on gear they "crash tested", tips and tricks, product recommendations for various budgets from entry level to professional grade, concise descriptions, honest opinions. Cons-vulgar language, not family friendly, quirky search and you need to click on a product to see if its in stock. Actual U.S. competitors: Helidirect.com Pros-carries top brands, Sister company to Pulse Battery which makes excellent products, rewards program. Cons-corny emails/ads with spelling mistakes (seem to be produced overseas) cheesy stock photography, straight retail pricing, sales only on major holidays, gets products in stock behind other companies, sales seem to revolve around obsolete clearance items, incomplete parts inventory, annoyingly too frequent emails. Amain.com Pros- Top Dog of RC websites with most mainstream RC brands/products and some video reviews, free shipping over $99, monthly coupons, excellent in-house brand Protek, sponsors events and pilots/drivers. Cons-website cloned to hobbytownusa.com and flitetestrc.com, only uses stock photos provided by manufacturers, not enough photos, quirky photo viewer, product descriptions don't address basic questions that might arise, incomplete parts inventory, incomplete/vague product descriptions, no ETA for backordered items, charges sales tax for out of state sales. BeachRC.com Pros- Big name, cool logo, sponsors events and drivers, doesn't charge sales tax for out of state sales, free shipping over $99, lots of pro level products needed for competition, Cons- Quirky search engine that populates many irrelevant results, automatically tries to tack on "shipping insurance" that is difficult to deselect on the mobile platform, low res photos for some products. Horizonhobby.com Pros- Largest manufacturer/conglomerate, sometimes good customer service, many products to choose from, parts widely available across US from various other websites and local hobbyshops, huge media prescence/frequent productions, sponsors pilots, drivers, and events. Cons- I feel their brands are overpriced and often present a "faux experience" with products that border toy-grade with hobby-grade. bkhobbies.com Pros- excellent in house brands (BK Servo and Switch Blades), real street-cred since the company is ran by two pros, in-touch with RC helicopter community, excellent customer service. Cons- Limited product range due to strategic partnerships, same retail pricing as everyone else, warehouse located on east coast making prolonged shipping times to the western US

Purpose - The focus of the site is offer a different, more streamlined, well organized and all-around better shopping experience compared to what is currently available online. Although there is no shortage of online retailers in the RC industry, many of them are lacking little things that could make a big difference. This website aims to cure many of the common deficits we've grown accustomed to with online shopping, such as long checkout/account creation procedures, instant spam upon account creation, lack of important information for products, and difficult to navigate websites.

Desired Results - The goal of the site is to sell quality products and provide excellent customer service and eventually create a competitive in-house brand (think Amazon anti-trust). What's different is the marketing method, product selection (with a focus on supplying only high quality products) and a fun and educational customer experience. I aim to promote products through entertaining in-depth reviews, which would create more informed purchase decisions... leading to greater customer satisfaction

Target Audience - The primary demographics are: Middle Class income, Primarily Male, age range from 14-65yr, US customer base with select international markets, mainly English speaking countries for simplicity.
