Rebecca: "i know i'm finding it hard to accept to!" Lucy: "well you can only blame yourselves you know!" Everyone: "LUCY!!" Eugene: "Your out of a job too you know Lucy." Lucy: "Yes, but i am young and have plenty of choices and you are all old..er and can only really be lawyers so." Bobby: "we have plenty of options i'm sure we will manage!" Ellenor: "so how long till we have to be out ?" Bobby: "in a weeks time." Jimmy in a sad but still voice: "well i guess we better get moving then!" That week was filled with packing, tears, laughs and reminicences of past times and though there were many delays they finally were all finished. With every gone and packed up except for bookshelf here and there, they all looked around at the once cosy, yet dull, warm, yet cold, and happy yet sad office in which they all had matured and grown to love one anothers company and companionship. Jimmy: "i guess this is it then." Eugene:"yeah i guess so." Rebecca:" i'm gonna miss you guys so much!"she remarked as she turned and gave everyone a hug one by one. Ellenor: "hey we can still hang out together!" Unfrotunately in the back of everyone's minds they knew that they would not be seeing each other for quite awhile, and as Lindsay hugged Bobby tight she prayed that she could hold him again someday. About five years later Lindsay: "Ah this is someday huh!" she practically sang to her four year old niece of whom she was looking after for awhile as they school where she taught law had a curriculum day and her sister had to run a few errands, so she gladly took the pleasure of babysitting. Lindsay: "so where would you like to go shelly ?" (shelly being short for michelle) Michelle: Umm, park!" Lindsay: "sure the one with the big sand pit?" Michelle: "yeah yeah yeah." Lindsay: "ok but befor we go you have to put your hat on so you don't get burnt." Michelle:" you were your hat too Lisay?" she asked not quite able to prenounce her name. Lindsay:"sure i'll wear my hat!" Shelly had on navy bike shorts , a lavernder t-shirt with a sun flower on it and her navy cap. Lindsay had on a pait of karci shorts , a white fitting t-shirt with a small enbroarded red nike logo and her navy cap with a white puma logo. Lindsay: " ok were ready so off we go!" In a nearby office Bobby: "arrgg! i just can't get this closing to work!" A guy named Jim: why don't you take a break we've been at it for ages? Bobby a little calmer: "Yeah maybe your right i think i'll take a walk, i'll call you later ok? Jim:"Yeah sure you do that i'm sure you'll find what your looking for!" At the park Lindsay:"Ok lets put our things over here and have some lunch then you can go play." Michelle:"Lunch then Lisay come play in the sand with me?" Lindsay:" Ookaaay..but only for awhile." When Michelle had drunk her juice and eaten all her sandwich except for her crusts she asked: "Now we play huh?" Lindsay:"Eat your crusts first they give you curly hair you know!" "Noooo!" Michelle said in a silly voice." I want hair like Lisay!" Who could argue with that? Lindsay:"Ok but take of your shoe so we can wiggle our toes in the sand!" Michelle:" Yeah my toes like sand and sand likes my toes!" Lindsay laughed and put Michelle on her back and carried her over to the sandbox. Meanwhile Bobby found his way to a park and decide maybe the greenery will clear his mind and relax him. As he walked down the path he looked over ot the park and laughed as he saw the woman and the little girl playing foot wars in the sand box. He decided to take a closer look and started walking to the park. Wow! Bobby exclamed to himself. " She's gorgeous!" Uh stop it Bobby she's playing with her daughter so she already taken! Just then she turned around, but not to look at him but to run aftre the little girl who just tipped a cup of water on her shoulder. Lindsay:" Argg i'm gonna get you!"she laughed playfully. Bobby was now only about 3 metres away when Lindsay picked up Michelle and started to tickle her. Michelle:"aaaahhh no tickle no tickle!" she splurted between laughs. Lindsay:"Ok but now we......." she was cut off Bobby:" Lindsay! is that you wow!" She turned around still laughing to face a stunned Bobby. Lindsay:"Bobby! wow! Hi!" she stated in a shocked voice staring at him in amazement. Michelle:"Who? Who? Lindsay:" oh shelly this is an old friend of mine his name is Bobby." Michelle:" Oh he's my freind too yeah!" Bobby:"Yeah your my friend!" Lindsay:" Um Michelle why don't you go put your shoes on and you can go on the slide?" Michelle:"Ok." And off she went leaving Bobby and Lindsay to talk as they walked over to the rug. Bobby:"She's really cute! How old is he? Lindsay:"She's four, yeah she a rela rascle." Bobby:" You look realy good too, you haven't changed much." Lindsay:"Thanks same to you!" Bobby:"So you must have met him like right after you moved over here!" Lindsay a little confused:" Huh what do you mean?" Bobby:"You know oyur husband, cause the pregnency would of taken........"he was cut off Lindsay laughing:" Oh no Bobby you've got it all wrong!" Now Bobby was confused:"What? What do you mean? Lindsay:"She my niece. I was just babysitting for awhile. She a single mum so...." Bobby:"Oh sorry! How stupid!" Lindsay :" Oh thats ok people say we do look alike." Bobby:" So your not married?" Lindsay:"No no not me. What about you?" Bobby:" No no. So um what do you do? Do you live here?" He asked as they sat down on the rug. Lindsay:" Yeah i live around the corner to the Brighton high school where i teach law. So what about you , what are you doing here?" Bobby:"Oh i still live in Boston , but i'm over here helping a friend with a trial." Lindsay:" Oh well good luck with the trial you know." There was a pause either not knowing what to say. Lindsay:"well i better go get Michelle." Bobby:" Well i have a bit of time on my hands would you mind if i shouted you and Michelle an ice-cream?" Lindsay:" No that would be great. Just let me get my shoes on and go get Shelly and we can go." Bobby:" I can get Michelle if you want?" Lindsay:" Thanks." Off Bobby went to go get Michelle from the slide. Bobby:"Hey Michelle." Michelle:"Hey Bobbeeeeeee."She said as she went down the slide and so emphisizing the eeeee. Bobby:" Do you want to go get an ice-cream?" Michelle:"Yeah!!" "Ok."Bobby said as he picked up. "Shelly would you go with Bobby to get your ice-cream? Michelle:" Sure, yeah lets go." Lindsay to Bobby:"i'll meet you there in a minute?" Bobby:" Ok. Lets go Michelle!" Off Bobby went with Michelle and Brad and Lindsay started walking. Lindsay:" So what's up?" Brad:"Um well... you used to be a lawyer right?" Lindsay:" Yeah a few years ago. Why?" she answered not really liking where this was going. Brad was a little hesitent:" So...........Um...do you know anything about homicides?" Lindsay:"Homicides? I guess so. Why? They stopped walking and turned to face each other. Brad:"Ok this is a little hard...." Lindsay:" It's ok you can trust me Brad what's wrong?" Brad:"Ok I.......... I think that my brother was involved in one!" Lindsay:" What, How um?" Brad:"We share a room and two days ago.... um when he got home... he had blood on his shirt... he tried to hide it form me but i saw..... and.....i think he killed Laura Cox." Lindsay:"Laura Cox!" Brad:" ssssshhhhh!" Lindsay lowered her voice:" Sorry.. you mean the Laura Cox that was shot in the back of the throat?" Brad:"Yes.. I don't know what to do I.......I can't go to the police.. I don't ant to go to the police, but i have to know, i have to help!" Lindsay:" Brad this is serious!" Brad:" I know! Can you please help me i don't know who else top ask! please Ms. Dole help me! Lindsay looked around and thought a bit then answered:" Brad i don't ..... I don't know how much help i'll be but i will try to do something!" Brad:" Thankyou so much Ms. Dole!" Lindsay:" Um bobby could i.........um are you free to night i would like to talk well ask you um..." Bobby:" Sure I can come round tonight." Lindsay:"oh really that would be ...oh my roomate has the place tonight.." Bobby:"That's ok you can come to my hotel room." Lindsay:" Are you sure?" Bobby:"Yeah sure i'll pick you up at 7 at.. Lindsay:"At the apartment building on 8th and apartment 5." Bobby:" Sure!" Lndsay:" Thankyou, are you ready to go Michelle?" Michelle:" Yeah." Lindsay:" Ok say good bye to bobby!" Lindsay:"Ok bye!" 6:50pm at Lindsay's place Lindsay is walking around half dressed with a knee length flowing white skirt with light blue swirls and a black silk bra and her roomate is sitting on her bed. Lindsay:"Ok what about this one?" She asked as she held up a bottle green top. Ben:"I would go with the navy blue one you can get of it easier!" Lindsay gave him a whack." Ben! We are only disscusing this Homicide thing!" Ben:" Sure that's why your wearing a black bra and taking forever to get ready, he must mean something." Another whack. Lindsay:"Just be quiet and help!" Ben:"Well you could just go in that, it would be easier to........ Lindsay:"BEN! Ben:"Ok, ok i will help if you give me the run down!" Lindsay:" You know i can't well i could but i shouldn't. Not even the police know." Ben:" Not about the Homicide thing about Bobby!" Lindsay:"Ben." she whined. Ben:"Lindsay if want to know what top to wear you have to tell me, and he's going to be here any second so spill." Lindsay gave in seeing he wouldn't give up."Ok yes i used to have a crush on him.... and i guess i still do." Ben intregued:" Uh huh go on." Lindsay:" That's all." Ben:"Cake, i have known you the majority if you life, now hurry up and tell me before he get's here!" Lindsay:"Well..... we were lets just say we were recrational for a while." Ben:"Oh recreational, you mean you had..." Lindsay:"Yes! now which one?" Ben liking the news he just recieved."Well now i would defently wear the navy one!" Lindsay:" Oh fine Ben!" She pulled on the Navy short sleeved fitting top just as the doorbell rang. Ben:"I'll get it!" Lindsay:" Oh no you don't!"she said racing to the living room. They both scrambled to the door, practically jumping over the furniture. Ben:"Hey that's not fare!" He whined as she tripped him up. She laughed as she saw the sight of him on the floor but not wasting any time she raced to the door and swung it open. Bobby:"Hi, hey what was going on it sounded like a football game." Lindsay a little out of breath and still giggling:" Um yeah, sorry um race to the door!" Bobby:" Oh." He said a bit confused. Lindsay:" Um come in." Bobby:" Thanks this is a nice place!" Lindsay:" Thanks." They walked into the living room to see ben trying to fix a broken lamp. Lindsay:"Oh Ben your paying for that!" Ben:"Uh uh no way Cake if you hadn't.." He looked up and stopped in mid sentence." Oh you must be the famous Bobby, Cake's ah Lindsay's told me..........." Lindsay:" Thankyou Ben!" Lindsay to bobby:" You ok to go?" Bobby:"Yeah sure." He said still confused. Lindsay to Ben:"You behave and make sure the guys tidy up before i get home!" Ben:"Yes mum!" He aid in a pouty voice. Lindsay:"Bye." Bobby and Lindsay walked down to Bobby's convertable. Lindsay:"Wow nice car you must be doing pretty well." Bobby:" well i try.........so how long have you been seeing Ben?" Lindsay laughed Bobby:" What?" Lindsay:"Oh Bobby your so sad!" Bobby:"What do you mean?" Lindsay:"Well first you think i'm married with a daughter then you think i'm going out with ben." Bobby a little defensive:"Well what was i supposed to think?" Lindsay:"I'm sorry that's true, let me explain, i grew up with Ben we went through school and just about everything else together and when i moved back here we meet up and he needed a roomate and i was looking so..." Bobby:" Oh ok so what's with the Cake thing?" She laughed:" Oh that, well when we were young I, uh well lets just say i had an experence with a cake and so it became my nick name. Bobby:"so what was the experence?" Lindsay:"Don't even think about it!" Bobby:" Fine!" I'll find out another way! He thought to himself. Bobby:" So are you seeing anyone just in case i mistake any other situations?"He asked though that wasn't the only reason he wanted to know. Lindsay:"No." aahhh breath. Lindsay:" Unless...." oh no! Lindsay:"Unless you count the students i see every day!" aaahhh breath again. They got to the hotel and went up to Bobby's room. Bobby:"Sorry about the mess." Refering to the trial papers and documents spread around. Lindsay:"don't worry about it i know how you feel." Bobby:"Do you want a drink?" Lindsay:"Just a drink of water thank."She said as she sat down on the couch. Bobby:" Sure, um have you had dinner because we can order Chinese?"He asked from the kitchen. Lindsay:" No i haven't that would be great!" Bobby:"Ok chinese it is." Bobby rung the order through and went and sat in one of the arm chairs next to the couch. Bobby:"So what did you want to talk to me about?" Lindsay's face went serious and Bobby knew it was bad. Lindsay:"Um you remember the boy i was talking to at the park?" Bobby nodded and she continued."Well he's in one of my classes and he thinks ........ he thinks his brother was involved in killing Laura Cox, no doubt you've heard about her." Bobby:"Yeah that's a serious case! How does he know her?" Lindsay:"He didn't say, but he asked for my help and...... i'm lost i want help but i don't know what to do!" There was a small pause Lindsay:"I was wondering if you would be able to help?" she started to speed up."I know you have this case......" Bobby:" Lindsay!" She kept going over him. "And you need to get back........" Bobby:"Lindsay!" Lindsay:"...to boston and you probably......" He finaly cut her off. "LINDSAY!" She looked up at him after studying the carpet. Bobby:"I am finished my case in two days and Boston can wait!" Lindsay:"Really?" Bobby:"Really! Now, ok, so why didn't he go to the police?" Lindsay:"He's scared to!" Bobby:" Ok, so why did you come to me?" She thought a moment. "Well.........you were right there and your probably the only person i know who has the knowledge to help and who i could trust." He paused for a moment thinking of what she just said. Bobby:"Oh ....Ok .....well how does he know it was a homicide?" Lindsay:"I don't know, but he shares a room with him so it wouldn't be hard to find things out." Bobby:" ooh i would want to be sharing a room witha suspected murderer!" Lindsay:"Neither would I." Bobby:"Ok well we are gonna have to know more so when are you seeing him next?" Lindsay:"Tomorrow at school." Bobby:" Well call me before you talk to him i want to be there ok?" Lindsay said ok just as they doorbell went. Bobby:"I'll get it it will be the food."He went and got his wallet off the bench paid for the food and brought it back to the living room and set it on the coffee table. Lindsay:"Mm smells good." They sat on the floor in front of the table. Bobby:"So how is life treating you? How's teaching?" Lindsay:"It's good i'm healthy and though it's hard to keep some of the students under control it's great to see them understanding law. What about you?" Bonny:" it's great me and Billy Thomas from Cage and Fish have started up a new firm and Rebeccas' there and this new guy Jared Scott joined, he's a good lawyer but a real party animal." Lindsay:"Oh poor Bec 3 guys to control. Bobby:"Oh she's great about it she keeps at her feet." Lindsay:" Oh i can imagin!" Bobby:"So have you talked to the others lately?" Lindsay:" Well i see Eugene about every week He's stationed as a detective not very far and i talk to Helen on the phone all the time she's doing great and i catch up with Lucy when she's not busy with college but haven't seen Ellenor or jimmy for ages." Bobby:"Yeah your lucky to have them on this side of the country It's just me and beck back in Boston." Lindsay:" Yeah i miss the old times even if we were fighting most of the time!" Bobby laughed:" Yeah you and Ellenor were hopeless, but we had some good times too." Lindsay:"What do you mean yelling at Ellenor was great!" She laughed Bobby:"Well maybe for you two and Lucy but it sure wasn't fun for the rest of us!" Bobby sort of went quiet as if thinking to himself in another world but Lindsay didn't notice she just kept going on. Lindsay:"I remember, poor Jimmy we would give him such a hard....." She was cut off by a passionate kiss from Bobby. Lindsay:"Bobby!" Bobby:"ssshh.." He silenced her with another kiss but she stopped him. Lindsay:"Bobby wait where did this come from?" Bobby:" As you were talking about the past time of the firm i remembered how much i loved you." Lindsay:" Whoa wait a minute.." Bobby:"Lindsay i still love you your gorgeous and smart and well i could go on all night and when isaw you just talking like we had never been apart i just had to kniss you i had to feel your soft lips against mine i need you and only you." Lindsay:"Bobby this is.. i mean.. I've loved you too all my life i think but.." Bobby:" But what? I want to be with you, don't you?" Lindsay:" Yes!" bobby:" Good!" He kissed again but with a softness of love and desire and she returned the kiss this time. He carried her to his bed a placed her down all the while kissing her and making up for lost time. They spent the night in each others arms, in peace and with a wholeness no words could express. Bobby let go I ve to get up!" she whispered in his ear to get him to remove his arms from around her waist. Bobby moaned:"Uh don't go yet, just a few more minutes!" Lindsay:" I have to go or I will end up being late!" Bobby:" I don't understand, you went to school for like 16 years and you want to go back." Lindsay:" Well know I give the work and the detentions, etc so...." Bobby:"still..... you had detentions in school?" Lindsay:"Not.......many! Bobby you have to drive me home so I can shower and change so you have to get up!" Bobby:" Oh man can't you call in sick and we can spend the day in bed?" Lindsay:" I wish I could but we have to talk to brad and don't you have to do your case?" Bobby:"Yeah... I give up! Man I can't wait for the weekend!" Lindsay:"you sound just like my student's!" Bobby:"Huh at least they get to watch you all day!" Lindsay laughed and pulled him up out of bed to get him moving but he attached his arms around her waist and started kissing her jaw. Lindsay:"Bobby don't I'll be late, urrg Bobby don't, please get dressed!"she laughed as his lips tickled her neck. Bobby:" Fiiine." He got dressed and went out to the kitchen to find Lindsay searching through cupboards looking for something. Lindsay:"hey do you have any cereal, or any food for that matter?" Bobby:" Yeah, here, sorry I usually go out for breakfast." Lindsay:" you want some?" Bobby:" yeah thanks." As she was pouring the milk he came up behind her. Bobby:" Mmmm you smell great!" Lindsay:" Thanks, vanilla perfume!" Bobby:"Mmm I could eat you!"he said as he sucked on her ear. Lindsay:" sorry not possible but you can eat this!" she said as she gave him his cereal. Bobby:" so when will you see Brad today?" Lindsay:"Um well I have double legal studies first two periods then recess then law class then fourth I have a spare and then there's lunch then I have another spare then I teach English so I'll ask to see him fourth so if it takes awhile we've got lunch time and fifth." Bobby:"Huh? How do you remember that and it changes so don't you get mixed up?" Lindsay:" No you get used to it!" Bobby:" well call me just before you speak to him, and weren't you gonna call Eugene?" Lindsay:"oh yeah I'll do that now:" She went over to the phone and dialed the LAPD and Joe answered. Lindsay:"hey Joe it's Lindsay!" Joe:"Hey girl haven't seen you round lately!" Lindsay:"Yeah I've been busy, um is Eugene in yet?" Joe:"yeah sure I'll put you through bye." After Lindsay finished speaking to Eugene she walked back over to Bobby. Bobby:"You seem to know the station pretty well." Lindsay:"Well I'm there a lot.........to see Eugene!" Bobby:"Oh I don't know, detentions in school, you sound like a pretty wild girl!" Lindsay:"Oh you don't know the half of it!" Bobby:" Oh really!"he laughed. Lindsay:"Oh Bobby look at the time we should go!" They hurried down to the car and Bobby drove Lindsay home. Luckily Ben was still asleep so Lindsay didn't have to answer any of his questions. At the school Lindsay in the hallway:" Brad! Hey Brad!" Brad stopped and turned around. Brad:"Ms. Dole I've been looking for you!" Lindsay:"Me too um I have a spare fourth so you can come round to my office then and we can talk, um do you mind if two of my friend sit in one's a lawyer and the other is a ......um used to be a lawyer, you can trust them!" Brad:" Yeah I suppose um I have to go so thank you." Lindsay:" ok well see you then bye:" Later Bobby:"Hey stranger!"he said as he walked into her office and closed the door. Lindsay:"Hey you been there long?" she asks as he got up and walked over to him . Bobby:"No not long, so you own office huh, pretty good!" Lindsay:" yeah they thI'm i'm special so...:" Bobby:"Huh can't see why!"he said teasingly as he stepped forward and gave her a kiss, he then stepped back and looked her up and down. Lindsay:"What?"she asked looking down at herself. Bobby:"They're pretty lenient with dress code."He said referring to Denimn peddle pushers and red, fitting but loose t-shirt with converse on it and her groovy puma runners that she was wearing. Lindsay:" well it's summer and there is no judges, juries or clients to dress up for." Bobby:" Huh lucky you, so when is Eugene getting here?" Lindsay:"um he'll be here in a couple of minutes and Brad will be here soon too." Bobby:"So had a busy day so far?" Lindsay:"It's been okay a few misbehaving student's to deal with but that's about all. You?" Bobby:" Oh it's been okay just touching up my closing." Eugene:"hey what's up?" Bobby:"Eugene hey long time no see!" Eugene :" hey it's great to see you! hey Linds!" he said as he sat down next to Bobby. Brad then came in and nodded to Bobby and Eugene as Lindsay introduced them. Lindsay:" Ok brad so tell us what you know." Brad:"ok well.... Matt, my brother he's always kind of been on the dark side you know he's always out at night and hangs out with his mates and one night he and his mate Jezza come home they thought i was asleep,........they were talking about a plan....." Eugene:"What did they say?" Brad looked at Lindsay as if for reassurance and she nodded at him to go on. Brad:"They said that they will go and meet at Jezza's house and then go do what they have, then Jezza asked what they should say if they get asked about it and Matt said they should lie and say that they were at a party." Bobby:" what happened the night it happened?" Brad": well first he left earlier than usual Iut i didn't think much of it, later he came back much earlier than usual...." Eugene:"What time was that ?" Brad:"Um about 9:00 i think, um so when he came back he changed his clothes and left again without saying anything.... when I was gathering clothes from our room to wash his had blood on it.." Lindsay:"are you sure it was blood it could of been sauce or something." Brad:" no I'm sure it was blood. Bobby:"So how does Matt know Laura cox?" Brad :" they went to school together and she hung out with them sometimes but she wasn't really the type." Lindsay:" So he only knew her from school and a few party's?" Brad:"As far as I know, yes!" Eugene shifted in his seat and Brad looked over and saw his police badge on his belt and stood up alarmed. Lindsay:"Brad what's wrong?" Brad:"He's a cop....... you brought a cop, Ms. Dole how could you? you promised you wouldn't go to the police!" Lindsay:"He won't tell anyone you can trust him!" Brad:"You promised!" Eugene:"Brad listen I won't tell anyone! I promise and with the resources that I can use we can help you and your brother a lot quicker!" Brad sat down in defeat and looked down to the floor. The bell rang for lunch. Lindsay:" You can go to lunch now Brad we will investigate and talk to you later ok?" Brad:"ok Thank you!" he said gloomily and walked out. Lindsay:"What now?" Eugene:"well I can look at the investigations from the police , i wont say anything just that I'm interested and if we can get a photo of Matt and he mates that would help. If I find anything major I will call you otherwise I can tell you tomorrow." Lindsay:"What's tomorrow?" Eugene:" The 4th of July party remember the whole station want's you to come!" Bobby gave Lindsay a cheeky smile and she returned it witha nock it off smile. Lindsay:"isn't it a bit early for 4th of July?" Eugene:"yeah I know but the officers have to patrol on the 4th so we have it early, so can you come?" Lindsay:"sure I'd love to what time?" Eugene:"it start's at 7:00 you can come too Bobby!" Bobby:" That would be great thanks!" beep beep. Eugene:"ah that's my pager um I have to go but I'll see you tomorrow ok!" Lindsay:"ok thanks Eugene bye!" He stood up and said bye to Bobby then left. Bobby:"So will you be my date tomorrow?" Lindsay:"Well maybe if you take me out lunch I might let you take me!" Bobby:"oh the things I have to go through.......sure lets go." Lindsay:"Ok!" The walked out to the path through the two ovals where some of Lindsay's male student's were playing football. Boy:"Hi Ms. Dole!" A few more boys stopped and yelled out hi! Bobby laughed:" You must have made some kind of impression when you moved here cause all the males are hypnotized by you!" Lindsay laughed:"I don't notice it they just all seem nice and out going I don't know hat I do..." Bobby:" well you better find out and stop it cause your mine now!" At the school Lindsay:" Hey Dave where's Brad today? Is he sick?" She asked as the rest of the class filed out to go home. Dave who was one of Brad's friends:"Not sure, he hasn't said anything to me, so I assume he's at home!" Lindsay:"Ok thanks Dave! see ya tomorrow!" Lindsay was expecting Brad to be there because he was to bring photo's of Matt and some of his friend so when he didn't show up all day she was worried that something had happened. Ben:"Hey Cake!" Lindsay twirled around to see Ben walking through the door of the classroom. Lindsay:"Hey Ben got detention or something? have you been harassing the teachers again?" Ben:"Ha ha your so funny you should do stand-up!" Lindsay:"So what ya doing here... Oh that's right." she started with a cheeky grin. "Your going to see Kate, aren't you!" She said referring to one of the English teachers that Ben liked. Ben:"Maybe I thought she might like to come to the party with me tonight!" They started walking to Lindsay's office which was next to her's. Lindsay:"Off you go Romeo!" she urged him towards the door. She laughed as he timidly knocked and opened the door. She walked into her office and sat down to look over some reports when she heard a knock at her door. Lindsay:" Come in!" she called out her eyes still fixed on the papers in front of her, and in walked a happy looking Bobby. She looked up and smiled:" Hmm someone won a trial!" she said as she went to embrace him. Bobby:"Sure did not guilty on both charges!" Lindsay:" Good on ya!" she exclaimed and gave him a quick kiss. they broke apart and sat down, Lindsay behind her desk and Bobby in a chair in front of her desk. Lindsay:" So what brings you here?" Bobby:"Apart from wanting to see my girl?" Lindsay:" Apart from that." Bobby:" I wanted to know if you wanted to go out for dinner before the party?" Lindsay:"Sure that would be great what time?" Bobby:" Um what about I pick you up at 6:00?" Lindsay:" sure ... so where are you taking me?" Bobby:" Hadn't thought about it much um,........ do you know any good places? You've been here longer!" Lindsay:" Um ok there is a place, um it's called 'walking on water', its near the lake and it has this deck over the water, it's seafood I think! I haven't been there for awhile." Bobby:" that sounds great you'll have to direct me there k?" Lindsay:"yep!" Lindsay looked out through the door towards the English staff room after she heard the door open. Out walked Ben looking pretty pleased with himself. She laughed. Bobby looked towards the door but because of his angle he could see what she was laughing at. Bobby:"what? what are you laughing at?" he asked looking pretty silly himself trying to see what she was looking at without getting off his chair. Before she could answer Ben glided into her office looking as happy as Larry. Ben:"He shoots, he scores!" he said imitating shooting a basketball. Lindsay laughed:" I take it she said yes!" Bobby:"Who what?" Ben:" Kate!... oh your Bobby right!"he said saying His name in a sly voice while giving Lindsay a look. Bobby:" yes hi!" he said shaking his hand."so Kate who?" He asked before he could give Lindsay a hard time about him being there Lindsay:" Kate Webb, she is an English teacher here, Ben asked her out to the party tonight!" Bobby:"oh!" He said no understanding."Oh Lindsay, I have to go now but I'll see you tonight!" Lindsay:"ok bye!" He got up and gave Lindsay a kiss on the cheek and said bye to Ben. Ben in his sly voice again:"Ah huh just the case that's all...." Lindsay:"Yeah so!" Ben:"So your going out I take it!" Lindsay:" Yes we are ok!" Ben grinning:"Ok so is he going to the party tonight?" Lindsay:" Yes and we are going to dinner at 6:00 ok so you'll have to get your own dinner." Ben:"Ooh romantic... no I'm really pleased you were turning into an old school teacher, you know like the ones with the high buns and glasses....:"he laughed She through a pen at him and laughed. 6:00pm Bobby:"Wow you look as gorgeous as ever!" He said and she turned around to show her navy and dull silver, strap dress that half flowed to her knees. Lindsay:"you looked very gorgeous your self:"Referring to his karki pants and lightly checked light, baby green and Light, baby blue shirt over a white t-shirt. When got there they sat down at a table for two and ordered. After talk about family and life the topic of Brad came up. Bobby:" So did you see Brad today did he give you the photo?" Lindsay:"Oh I completely forgot about the case I have been soo busy." Bobby:"So you didn't see him today?" Lindsay:" No, but that's because he wasn't at school today!" She said with all the worry coming back into her voice. Bobby:"Was he sick?" Lindsay:" No one knows and I didn't want to ring because I wouldn't usually and it would sound weird." Bobby:"Maybe he was just stressed?" Lindsay:" Maybe, but we should tell Eugene about it!" Bobby:" Yeah that would be best, it might not be anything, but we should be careful ." Lindsay:"Yeah, what time is it?" Bobby:" Oh, it's 6:45, we should get going huh?" Lindsay:"Ok let's go:" At the party Joe:"Hey girl! Long time no see!" Lindsay:" Hey Joe your looking good! How's Sandy going?" Joe:" Great three months now!" Lindsay:"Good on ya, she's the one! And this is mine, Joe this Bobby, Bobby this Joe!" They shook hands and said hi. Lindsay looking around:" Wow this place is packed,....... oh when did Jack get back from Australia?" Joe:"Three days ago yeah everyone's here!" Bobby:" Is Eugene here?" Joe:" Um he's gone to get more dip he'll be back soon." They went and mingled around Lindsay doing most of the talking. Lindsay:"So Jack how was Australia?" Jack:"Oh it was great, defiantly a place worth going to, the sun, the surf, and the people are great!" Bobby:" Where in Australia did you go?" Jack:"Flew to Sydney first and looked at the opera house and that bridge, then down to Melbourne to see the sport, I think I prefer our sport, don't understand theirs, then up to Queensland to the beaches and reefs! It was great!" Lindsay:"Oh I'd love to go there it sounds great!" They left Jack to tell his adventures to more people and went over to the drink table. Bobby:" It's been over half an hour and I haven't seen him yet!" Lindsay:"Yeah I hope he's ok! I'll go ask Joe if he's seen him." :"Hey Joe have you seen Eugene?" Joe:"No he hasn't come back yet! He probably found a girl and decided to blow the party!" Lindsay:" Ok thanks Joe!" Bobby:" That's not like Eugene he would go off like that I think something's happened!" Lindsay:"Yeah maybe we should look for him?" Bobby:"Ok let's ask Joe which shop he went to!" Lindsay:"Joe where was Eugene going to get the dip?" Joe:" Um just the supermarket round the corner Coles I think!" (I don't know about America but in Australia Coles is a grocery store) Lindsay:"Ok thanks, we'll be back in a while ok Joe!" Joe:" Ok be careful Linds!" They walked out to the car park. Brad:"That's them!" He said behind the side of the building pointing towards Bobby and Lindsay. Man named Dan:" Ok lets go!" Dan and two other guys ran towards them leaving Brad and one other guy holding him. Dan:"Freeze! Don't move or I'll shoot!" Lindsay was already in the car with door open and bobby had his hand on the handle with the door still closed. Dan Had a gun to Bobby's throat while on other man held him and the other one stood waiting for Lindsay to get out of the car. Dan:"Get out or I'll shoot him !"He yelled in a whisper not wanting the police inside to hear. Lindsay:"ok I'm getting out!" Dan:"Don't make any sound or put up a fuss or I'll kill you both ok!" The men took them over to where Brad was. Lindsay:"Brad!" She whispered loud enough for him to hear. Brad:"Sorry Ms. Dole I had to!" Dan:"Shut up! Ok lets go!" He motioned for his men to take the three prisoners to they grey van they had. Bobby still had the gun on him, Brad had a knife up to his throat and the man holding Lindsay had a Baseball bat. They got into the van where another guy was in the drivers seat waiting for them. The were all to afraid to speak plus the gags that got put on them didn't help either, so they sat there in silence with just their feet tied not knowing where they were going, but Brad looked like he knew. The van stopped and they got shoved out. They looked around. they were outside a huge rich looking house. they got taken to the side of the house and down to underneath the house to a basement. Dan:"sit down over there and don't make any noise! Ah but Ms. Dole you sit over there!" he pointed towards a bed for Lindsay and a couch and chairs for Bobby and Brad. Lindsay went and obeyed, she sat down where she was told and from there she could see into another room that Brad could also see but bobby couldn't. In the room was Eugene on a wooden chair and three other guys that looked about 19-20yrs old, all tied up. She widened her eyes towards Bobby as if trying to silently tell him about Eugene, He looked over to her but couldn't understand what she was trying to tell him. She nodded her head sideways towards the room where Eugene was. Dan was in a adjoining room looking the other way talking to the man that had been holding Bobby while the others watched TV. Lindsay used her hand to physically spell Eugene for Bobby, he understood and raised his eyebrows as if to say really?, she nodded. Brad was watching them knowing what they were doing, waved his hands to get there attention. They looked over to him, he pointed towards the room which held Eugene and the other three guys. He spelled out Matt like Lindsay had done with Eugene. Bobby and Lindsay looked confused and Bobby pointed towards Dan, Brad shook his head. They knew what he meant, one of the guys tied up next to Eugene was Matt and the other ones were his friends. Bobby was thinking that perhaps these men were friends of Laura and wanted revenge which was understandable but then why would they get him, Linds, Eugene and Brad? Lindsay had already came across that thought and had given up trying to think of anything, she had a massive head ache and just felt like going to sleep. She laid down on her side with her face facing bobby and her legs hanging off. Bobby was just as tired as Lindsay decided to try and stay awake to keep an eye on everything. After about an hour the kidnappers started to pack up what they were doing and slowly disappear up stairs all except for Dan and one other guy who must have only been about 16. Dan:"JJ, you've got the first half then Wes will take over, I'm trusting you down here they are not to get away if you have to shoot them in the legs but don't kill them!" JJ:" Yep don't worry I got it all covered!"he said with a tough face that anybody could see through. Bobby could tell he was scared but knew not to mess around with him, cause often if they're scared enough they will shoot. Dan turned to leave but saw Lindsay sleeping on the bed, he turned back to face JJ. Dan:"Oh JJ, if you get bored feel free to mess around with the chick! You know what a mean!"He said with a slight laugh and with that he trumped up the stairs, Bobby felt the fire surge up in him at that last comment, as if Lindsay was some toy for them to play with. JJ laughed and looked over to Lindsay and raised an eyebrow, he then looked over to Bobby and caught the end of one of those 'you touch her, I'll kill you' looks. JJ sat down looking as if he had just committed the worst crime. Lindsay was still asleep, Bobby looked over to Brad who was sound asleep as well and so it was Just him and JJ giving each other 'looks'. After awhile Bobby could tell JJ was tired. Soon JJ got sick of Bobby's 'looks' and decided to do something about it. He stood and went over and sat next to Lindsay. With one hand holding a pistol he slide the other one up Lindsay's leg Looking at Bobby the whole time. Bobby couldn't look and turned his head, JJ laughed and continue to play as Lindsay amazingly still slept. Eugene was still awake and could see what was going on in the next room he couldn't stand seeing Lindsay like this. He coughed to get JJ's attention and he succeeded, Eugene gave him a killer look and a small growl. JJ had been scared of Eugene from the start and so he stopped and moved quickly back to his seat. Bobby gave a small laugh as if to say sucked in! JJ just sat back and started reading a magazine. Bobby was so relieved that Eugene was awake, though he could see him he knew that he had stopped JJ. The Next Morning Ben on the phone to Joe:"Hold I'll check.......no she's not there and the bed hasn't been slept in, but she could of been with Bobby? But she should be at school already have you tried there?" Joe:"Yeah she didn't turn up no one has seen her since yesterday and we don't know where Bobby is staying and Eugene hasn't been seen since last night either!" Ben:"Well it's not like Linds to just not show up for school, listen she has a phone number here on her dresser for Bobby's mobile well at least I think it's his, should I try it?" Joe:" Yeah and then call be straight back. But be careful what you say!"Joe hung up to let Ben call. Back At The Mansion With the knowledge of Eugene looking out for them, Bobby was able to get a couple hours of sleep. A few men had gone of to do what they called 'business' for the morning leaving, to Bobby's relief not JJ or Dan but three other guys, two who had been there to get them yesterday form the station and a new guy who wasn't there yesterday and who looked like one not to mess around with. Lindsay and Brad had been awake for awhile just watching the movements of everyone else (what else could they do?)One of Matt's friends had been moved out from the other room to the joint room where the guys had been watching TV. His hands were tired above his head and the rope hung from the ceiling so he could just stand flat foot, his head was bloody and drooping and he had a wound on his upper arm from what looked like a knife. Todd (tough guy):" ok so whose next on the agender?" Ian (some other guy):"Well Dan said it was up to us but he Wanted to be here for Matt and the girl." Todd:"okay lets pull out of a hat:" The other guy whose name was Zach, went out of the room and came back with a cap held out with small pieces of paper in it. Todd dip his hand out and read what was on the paper. Todd:"Well this will be interesting, bring out the cop!" he said with a smile. Ian and Zach went and brought out Eugene from the room. Bobby and Lindsay looked at him with fear in there eyes. Matts friend was taken down and put back in the room from whence he came and Eugene was hung up which was considerably hard due to his large stature. At first they just teased him about life, family etc and then came the physical torture which started out with a few hits but when Eugene stood strong The guys started to get angry and more fierce. Eugene's torched lasted as long as he could, but with about 4 knife wounds and endless punches he gave up. They took him down but this time put him the same room as the cringing bobby and Lindsay who couldn't bare to watch him get hurt. The next name was called and up went Brad. Lindsay was horrified at the thought of what they could do to only a kid! Brad didn't last more than a few minutes and then came Bobby's turn, Lindsay felt the tears welling up, it was hard enough to go through Eugene and Brad but she knew she wouldn't survive through Bobby's torture. She laid down and covered her ears to block out the hurtful words they said and the sound of the blows to Bobby. Eugene barely conscious looked at Lindsay trying to comfort her telephathicly. It seemed ages until they finally took Bobby down and sat him next to Eugene. Lindsay took one glance at Bobby and couldn't look again. It hurt too much to see him in this condition. His eyes were closed but he was conscious, he had a lump on his cheek and a cut on the other side his arms were beginning to show bruises and had numerous cuts, his eyes were puffy and his face was red from crying in pain. Not long after the last torture, which was Matts friend Jezza, the rest of the crew came back. Dan with a pleased smile:"Well someone's been having all the fun without me! Good job guys!" Todd:" pleasure, and we left Matt and the girl for you as you said!" Dan :" Good........" he was interrupted by the ringing of a phone. Ian:" Where's that coming from?" JJ:" Here it's one of the mobile we pulled of them." He said pointing towards Bobby, Eugene, Lindsay and Brad. Dan:" Here give it to me!" JJ gave him the phone and he answered it. Dan:"Hello?" Ben:"Hi is Bobby there?" Dan :" No you must have the wrong number sorry." Ben:"Um do you know a Lindsay Dole?" Dan:" Why?" Ben :"I'm just looking for her have you seen her?" Dan:" No sorry don't know who your talking about, bye!" He pressed end and put the phone down. He looked over at Lindsay who was looking straight back at him with a blank look. Dan:"I think it's Ms. Dole's turn boys!" he said slowly "Let's take her up stairs!" The guys took Lindsay up stairs. She looked around at the expensive furniture and furnishings. They took her up more stairs to a bed room with a comfortable looking bed and a large window. They tied her feet to the end of the bed and her hands to the top. Dan :" I'll go first then you guys take turns." The other men filed out as Dan removed the gag. Lindsay's sobs and cries could be heard from down where the rest of the prisoners were. Bobby cried silent tears for Lindsay cause he knew what they were doing to her was ten times worse then what they did to him. Back to Ben and Joe Joe:" Hi, So what happened, go through word for word." Ben :" Okay, well some guy said hello, and I asked for Bobby, and he said no I must have the wrong number and so I asked if he knew a Lindsay Dole and he asked why..." Joe:" Okay, wait a minute did he say why as if he was nosey or as if he was scared or that he did but wanted to know why first?" Ben:"um... probably the latter, like he wanted to know why first but I couldn't be sure." Joe:"Ok, go on." Ben:" um... oh, then I said that I was just looking for her, and had he seen her, and he said no, he didn't know who I was talking about, and then he hung up." Joe:"Okay well she still might be with Bobby but Eugene is still missing. If she shows up or anything happens call me and if I find anything I'll contact you ok?" Ben:" Sure ok! Bye." Joe:"yep bye!" Back at the Mansion After Dan returned with a satisfied smile the rest of the guys went up stairs one after the other, some taking longer than others. Wes and JJ went and got matt and hung him up ready for his torture. Dan's anger showed at the site of him and his past pleasures with Lindsay were forgotten. Dan:"Well if it isn't the brave leader him self huh?"he said and gave Matt a blow to the stomach. Dan:" So who gave you permission to mess with any plans huh what gave you the right to get in the way?" he asked with another punch. Matt:"She didn't do anything wrong she didn't deserve to be punished!" he said in a low heavy voice with venom in his eyes. That comment went way to far for Dan and he started kicking and punching him every where he could. They didn't know, that they actually thought Matt killed her. Eugene looked over to Bobby, he noticed the almost shocked expression on Bobby's face, and he could practically see the wheels turning in his head. Bobby sensed Eugene looking and turned to face him, then looked up over to Dan, who had turned away from Matt puffing. Dan: "Take him down!" he growled. They took Matt down and put him on the bed. Everyone was quiet as they watched Dan pace. Dan took his gaze from off the ground and looked up, and around. Dan: "where's Zach?" he asked angrily "He's been up there for ages!" Which one was Zach? Bobby tried to remember. It took him awhile but he remembered, the guy who drove them here and helped tie each person up. That was him, he hadn't said a word since they had been there and he had never seemed to thrilled to be there. Dan"Go and get him and bring the girl back down! NOW!" Dan went and sat down on the couch in the other room and slowly the others followed. Eugene turned back to Bobby eager to find out what Bobby had be thinking about before, he looked as if he had figured something out. Bobby turned to face Eugene. Bobby tried to lift his arms to talk to Eugene the way he had before but his arms felt like they were filled with lead. He shook his head over to where Matt was laying. Eugene looked over to him slightly then nodded at Bobby to show he knew whom he meant. Bobby started to shake his head as if to say no, but was interrupted when, jj came running down the stairs. JJ:" There gone!" He puffed out. Dan immediately stood up:" What do you mean there gone?!" Bobby sat up worriedly. What had Zach done with her? He went faint with worry. Dan rushed upstairs to the room that Lindsay had been in. The room looked as if nothing had happened, the bed was made and everything was in its place. Dan ran back to the basement. Dan:" Ian, go in the van and look for them! Todd and Wes grab a torch each and search the grounds!" (Just so you know it's now like 9:00 at night) They gave slightly sheepish looks and went and did as they were told. Dan turned around to JJ for some answers. Dan:" Did he say anything to you? He was second, why did he go last?" He said in a angry frustrated voice. JJ:" I,.... he,.... um" He looked down. Dan:"JJ if you know something I'd tell or you will so sorry! Now what happened?" JJ looked up with a sad terror in his eyes:"He ... he had a gun and ordered us to,...um he told us to go down one by one after awhile, as if we had had our turn with the girl. I wasn't last so I don't know what he did after that." Dan:" You should of told me I can do more damage than him! Why didn't you tell me! He screamed. JJ:" ah he was making all these threats and..!"He spat out as Dan turned around and tugged at his collar. Dan:" If he is against us now, we all are going down! You get that!" JJ:" Maybe he's not maybe he just wanted the girl? I mean...." Dan:" Well you better pray that's all he wanted! Now go and help them look!" Dan started to pace again, kicking the chair occasionally. Bobby still sat upright, his mind now thinking about, what if Zach was now against them and had saved Lindsay! Bobby also felt a small relief that if that was the case, only Dan had torched her and Zach had saved her from the rest of them. Lindsay & Zach Lindsay:" What are you doing?" she asked as Zach quietly carried her down stairs. She wasn't up to walking after what Dan had done. Zach:" I couldn't stand it anymore, it wasn't right!" He whispered back. Lindsay softened realizing he was on her side now. Lindsay:" So why do you help in the first place?" Zach:" I was forced practically, no one messes with Dan. I had hated doing this all along, but I couldn't do anything about it with Dan around. So when he, um had you know finished... um I took the opportunity to try and do something." Lindsay:" well it worked thank goodness!" Zach:" yes for now lets just hope they took the threats seriously and won't say anything! We should have enough time to get pretty far until Dan realizes we're gone!" He said as they got to a large forest type garden. Zach:" Ok we are going to have to go through here I remember the way to a side street, but it's pretty far!:" Lindsay:" Why don't we go down the drive way it's quicker?" Zach:" yeah but you can see it form the house and if someone tells and they come soon we won't get very far. This way it's out of sight, they can't get a car down here and we have a head start, plus they might not even think to look here." Lindsay:" How are we going to get away you can't carry me all the way and I don't think I can walk, my leg hurts!" Zach looked at her leg, there was a long cut on her thigh. Zach:" I was wondering where the blood was coming from. Um ok," He looked around at his surroundings " Okay we'll go down here and you can sit on that stump while i fix your cut." Zach placed Lindsay down and she wobbled over the tree stump. She still had her short dress on so it wasn't hard to see the wound. Zach:" I can't do much now we have to be quick but I'll try to stop the bleeding." He tore a bit of his shirt off and wiped away some blood then tore of a new piece and wrapped it around her leg. Zach:" Okay that's all I can do." He looked up at her" Do you still think you can't walk?" Lindsay:" I don't think so it stings real bad and every time I put pressure on it it aches. Do you have torch?" Zach:" no I don't want anybody to see but I can see by the moons light we'll be fine! Ok I'll just have to carry you.. Here can you get on my back, that should be easier." Lindsay got on his back and he supported her as best he could without hurting her leg. Ben, Joe & Jack. Ben and the two policemen sat at one of the police desks. Ben:" Come on there has to be something you can do! All three of them have been missing for three days! It's not a coincidence." Jack:"I'm sorry but we have inquired just about everywhere. Them missing has nothing related to anything!" Joe:" ok hold on a minute... now did Bobby win his case? The trial that he was here for?" Ben:"yes he did, I doubt it would be related to that bobby didn't do anything wrong by the client and what would he want with Eugene?" Joe:" Yeah your write just thinking out loud. Ok well maybe one of Lindsay's students?" Jack:" Yeah but once again why would they want Eugene or Bobby?" Joe:"Yeah I suppose!" Ben:" Wait a minute. ... There was something that Bobby and Lindsay were looking into!" Joe:"What quick what?" Ben:"Um well Lindsay was saying something about talking to Bobby about a homicide!" Jack:" What about the Laura Cox Homicide?" Ben:" I don't know she didn't say. I doubt it why would they be involved in that?" Joe:"You know what it could very well be." He turned to face Jack." wasn't Eugene looking at some files on that?" Jack:" Yeah, he just he was interested to see the background!" Joe's mind was reeling:" Ok so this is a stab, but, ok Lindsay and Bobby, for some reason we don't know were looking into something about this case and Eugene being a cop and a good friend said he would help out so he looked up the files saying he was just interested. Then he goes back to them with what he's got?" Ben:" That's a small chance it has to many holes in it. To many unanswerable questions." Jack:"well let's go get the file and see if we can answer some questions." Joe went and got the file, placed it on the desk and opened it. After about half an hour. Jack:" Here one of the possible participants, Matt Green. He has a 16yr old Brother called Brad that goes to Brighton High where Lindsay teaches." Joe:" Yeah but that could just be a fluke!" Jack:" Well it's all we have so I say we look into it!" Back in the forest thing Zach stopped abruptly."Shh what was that?" He slid Lindsay off his back and she sat down on the ground. Zach looked around he thought he had heard voices. Lindsay:" What? What is it?" she whispered Zach:"Oh man we have to go now!" Lindsay:" What? Why?" Zach:" They have started looking!" Lindsay:"How do you know?" Zach not listening to her:"Ok they are pretty far away we can still make it! Lindsay quick get back on this gonna be hard so hold on and be as quiet as you can!" Lindsay obeyed, still not knowing exactly what was going on but not taking any chances. The search party. Wes:"Hey Todd see anything?" Todd:"No nothing. Listen I think they've gotten too far for us to catch up........I say they will get to a police station and then you know about a million cops will show up and...." Wes:" What are you saying? That we should get out of here?" Todd:"Yeah I say we leave Dan and get out while we still can!" Wes:" What if he finds us?" Todd:"He can't if he's in jail, and we can go to another state..... You know man I'm going you can go back if you want and get busted but I'm getting out of here! Are you coming or not?" Wes thought for a minute and looked back to the house:" Yeah ok I'm coming" Back at the mansion. Bobby, Eugene and the others still sat waiting for something to happen. Dan:"This is taking too long! Where are they?" Dan sat down in a huff and rubbed his head when Ian came in the door. Dan:"What anything?" Ian:"No there was nothing no sight of them!" Dan:"How could this happen?" he yelled. Dan stood up and got his gun, put it in his belt and grabbed his jacket:" I going." he said then turned around to face JJ and Ian." You two stay here!" JJ:" Where are you going?" Dan:"Just.." he yelled then in a calmer voice" stay here!" At the police station. Joe:"I think your might be right Jack!" Ben:" What, what did the school say?" Joe:"Brad Green is in Lindsay's economics class!" Jack:"Well I say we give the greens a visit!" At the Greens house. Jack:" hello this is the lapd, is Brad or Matt here?" Mother:"Um no sorry they went on a camping trip." Joe:" Well did they say when they would be back?" Mother:" Um not until another week." Jack:"do you know where they went?" Mother:"Why what's going on?" Jack:" we just think they could help us with a case at the moment!" Mother:"Um they said the Warrington Lake." Joe:"Ok thank you Maam!" Jack and Joe walked back to the car where Ben was waiting. Ben:" So what happened? Where are they?" Jack:"Supposedly camping, how convenient!" Ben:"Did she say where?" Jack:" Yeah up at Warrington Lake!" Ben:” Well let's check it out!" Back to Linds and Zack. Lindsay:"Zach how much further?" Zach:"Not far, here we can rest, I think we lost them." Lindsay slid off again and sat on a fallen trunk, and Zach kneeled down next to her leg. Zach:" This is soaked through, how does it feel?" Lindsay:" It still hurts abit but mainly just tingles..... I'm hungry." Zach:"Sorry I couldn't get any food..... Um here I have some gum." Lindsay took the gum gratefully for she hadn't eaten in three day's. Zach:"Ok let's just get out of here. Once we get to the road I'll flag down a car and we'll go straight to the police ok?" Lindsay yawned and nodded:" yep let's go!" It only took them about ten minutes to get to the alley and down to the main road. Lindsay who had almost fallen asleep on his back looked up:" Where are we?" Zach:"Warrington." Ben, Joe & Jack. The trio had stopped for some petrol. Ben:" how far is Warrington Lake?" Jack:" only about five minutes from here!" Joe:"ok lets go." They jumped into the car and drove down the road. Ben:" I have never been up here! The house's are huge!" Joe:" yeah but they are mostly empty!" Jack:" hey wait wait wait! Stop the car!!!!!!!" Jack jumped out and ran over to the guy and girl on the side of the road. Ben and Joe got out of the car and followed realizing that the girl was Lindsay. Ben:"Oh my goodness Lindsay:" Lindsay immediately sat up ignoring the pain in her leg:" Ben!!!!" Jack addressing zach:" Who are you?" Zach:"um well....." Lindsay:"Jack it's all right he saved me! You have to go and get the others, I'll tell you every thing in the car!!" They all got in the car and Jack call for back up on the double! Zach showed them where to go and they got there in no time. Joe and Jack got their jackets on and made their way down to where Zach had showed them. Jack:" Freeze this is the LAPD!" They burst in the basement and immediately saw Bobby and Eugene, but when they saw Brad, Matt and his friends and that they were the ones beaten up it didn't make sensed so they just arrested them all. After all the commotion of getting back, those hurt were taken to the hospital to get fixed up. Now after they had given their statements Eugene, Joe, Jack, Ben, Bobby and Lindsay sat around Lindsay and Ben's dining table. Lindsay:” So when did you figure it out?" she asked Bobby. Bobby:” well when the were talking to Matt he said something about her not deserving to get punished then it all slid into place." Eugene:” So it was Dan and his Mates that killed Laura and Matt and his mate were trying to stop it." Joe:"Yep, but Brad thought his brother did it." Jack:" And obviously Matt and his friends could stop Dan and Dan didn't want anyone to talk so he took brad and Matt and His friends and Brad said that you guys knew so they came after you." Ben:” We were all so scared are you guys going to be okay?" Eugene:" yeah I think I'll be fine, um so did you catch the others like you know Dan?" Jack:" um we got Dan he was trying to catch a ride to Washington, But we haven't heard anything about the other two!" Lindsay:” Well I am going to go to bed, thank you Jack, Joe." Jcak:"Sure, um well I think I should go." Joe:" yeah me too rest well!" he said as he gave Lindsay a peck on the cheek. Eugene said his goodbye's and then left. Ben:" Well goodnight, sleep well!” he said quietly and slid out if the room. Lindsay looked down at her hands then up at Bobby:" Bobby, I don't really want to be alone tonight!" Bobby:” I wouldn't be anywhere else." And so the too wounded souls laid down together and held each other tight, they forgot everything that had happened for that night and just concentrated on the comfort that came form each other. They could deal with everything together in the morning but for now nothing could penetrate them. Bobby:” I love you Lindsay!" Lindsay:” I love you too! We'll get through this.” Bobby:” Together.” And with that they drifted off to sleep to the safe world of dreams.
