((NOTE THIS: The evil digimon is Myotismon, BUT since the children are in the digital world and have Kari with them. It's totally off the plot from the show since they all defeated him in their world and had just found Kari. Sorry for any of these technical difficulties but I didn't want to change my story and plus it's MY fan fiction so I could do whatever I want. ))
"This plan will work," DemiDevimon told his master. "It better for you sake. I don't tolerate failures!" Myotismon replied sternly.
"What are we supposed to do now?" Tai asked fiddling with his crest as the 8 children and their digimon stopped in a spot in the forest."Isn't it only obvious? We have to defeat Myotismon and his goons," Sora answered holding Yokomon safely in her arms."If my calculations are correct, we should be getting closer to Myotismon's lair," Izzy said, typing away on his computer."Do we have to do this? I just want to go home and take a hot bath," the 4th child, Mimi whined. "Matt I'm hungry, when will we have food?" T.K asked."I don't know T.K, but I hope we find some soon, I'm starving too," Matt replied. He placed his hands in his pockets and continued thinking.
"It's almost complete master," DemiDevimon said."Excellent,""This will get those digi-destined. It'll help us- I mean you sir, destroy those rotten children for good. It will all be too easy." DemiDevimon stupid as he is, actually came up with something, a good plan to get rid of the chosen kids. He would create a human girl, calculated from data stored into the main computer. The girl had every feature. Hair, face, body figure..You couldn't tell if she were real or not. "It's finished." he said at last. "look Master" On a platform stood a girl. Long sepia brown hair. Dark clothes- A crimson red shirt with black sleeves, midnight blue jeans, and ebony boots. And eyes as dark as the most burnt ember after a firey blaze, the only glow was from moonlight cascading off the walls onto her pupils. But still, they were empty."Don't just sit there and waste my time, DemiDevimon, I want to see if this plan of yours will work!" Myotismon yelled."Human girl, Kira" DemiDevimon summoned" you will obey the evil side and help us capture those annoying digi-destined children. However you do it-just get them! Do you understand?""Yes, I will do as you please." the girl reacted. "Good, now go! If you fail, you will be deleted!" Myotismon ordered. "Yes, master,"she nodded her head slowly," I will not let you down," She exited the lair atop the mountain.Myotismon let out an evil laugh.
The following morning, the group continued walking after a long sleep. Suddenly T.K smelled the scent of food wafting through the air."Do you smell that?" He smiled, eager to follow the smell,"It's food!" And with that he took off running through the woods, Patamon clinging tightly to his hat."T.K! Wait!" Matt shouted after him as the others followed. Minutes later T.K arrived at the entrance of a cave. But outside of it, laying on a blanket on the ground was what he had really been chasing. "Look Patamon, it's real actual food!" he rejoiced. "Why don't you have some?" a voice came echoing from inside the cave's entrance, surprising the small boy and his digimon. Soon, the rest of the bunch had caught up to the run-away duo. A figure stepped out from beneath the shadows of the cold rocky cavern. All 8, Matt, Tai, Sora, Joe, Mimi, Kari, Izzy, and Joe gasped. Before them stood a girl but in the digital world? Did people really live here?"Hello," noted the girl plainly."H-Hello," Tai remarked. "Who are you?" Mimi said straying to the point on everyone's mind."I was going to ask you the same but I may already know. My name is Kira. Are you the ones they call the digi-destined?" "How would you know that?" Tai replied defensively."Calm down-you have nothing to fear---yet. Word travels fast in the digital world."she replied bluntly."So I've introduced myself, can't you do the same?""I'm sorry,"The brown froed boy replied apologetically. "My name is Tai, this is my digimon, Agumon," He gestured to the lil' orange dinosaur."I'm Sora ,this is Yokomon," Another child, a girl stepped forward with a pink plant like digimon in her arms."I'm Mimi," the girl with chestnut flowing hair in a pink dress replied, beside her stood a plant like figure."This is Palmon." "My names Izzy," a boy replied, with a laptop on his back and a rather medium sized insect at his side." I'm Tentomon," the insect said for himself."I'm Joe and this is Gomamon," yet another, with glasses, introduced himself and his digimon."I'm Kari, and this is Gatomon," the cat stood in front of the littlest girl, like protecting her."I'm Matt," one of the last answered,"and this is T.K, my brother. His digimon is Patamon and mine is Tsunomon." He remarked with maturity. "It's nice to meet you all-," Kira smiled, an evil glint in her eye," 'So soon,' she thought. This will surely be an easy enough task. She invited them all to stay and eat for it was getting dark soon. 'Fools' she continued thinking 'they don't know what they're getting into' With that she smirked evilly, without catching their attention.That night, while all 16 slept peacefully, Kira snuck out of the cavern heading towards Myotismon's lair. Before she could get very far, she heard a noise, causing her to spin around. "Who's there?" she said sharply,"Reveal yourself at once," From beyond the trees stepped a male figure, with a green shirt and dark blue jeans. His blonde hair ruffled from running. "What are you doing here?" Kira asked roughly."I saw you leave and I followed you here. Where are you going?" he replied placing his hands into his pockets. "I-I was going out for a midnight jog. I don't sleep to well." She remarked with a lie. He couldn't figure out what she was up to, I'd ruin everything. "Oh I see," he said plainly. Silence came between the two. Matt stared at Kira. He observed her. 'Something different' He thought. 'Something about her is different' Kira looked back at him. 'Strange. Why has he followed me? Could he be catching on??' Her eyes had diverted to the ground and then back to Matt. She caught the glimpse in his eyes. And hers locked into his. They shone a bright blue under the dark sky. He found her staring at him and she jerked her head as soon as she caught herself. 'There's something about him.' She thought deeply 'Wait, what am I doing?' "Why don't you go back to the cave and go to sleep?" Kira suggested, trying to get rid of him so she could report the news she had. "I'm not tired now," Matt stated. Kira clenched her teeth, sighed and gave in. "Why don't we walk back together. Dawn's approaching and the others might wonder where we are." "You're right, let's go," Matt agreed. Kira walked back defeated, her master would have to wait for the news, though, she didn't mind walking all the way back with Matt. Something was wrong with her. A strange new feeling came to her that night. 'What is it?' she continued deep in thought.
The previous night couldn't have Kira stray far from her task. 'Can't have a mere boy stopping me from doing what I was told. Let go any feelings you have' she said to herself. 'They are worth nothing to you, if you lose your life'She shuddered at the fact being killed by Myotismons evil bats engulfing her. Or maybe it could be worse than that. Kira huddled in the corner. Kari came over to her noticing she hasn't said much that morning. "Kira, are you alright?" the little girl asked, her voice so calm and caring. The brown haired girls eyes looked up in surprise, "I'm fine, why do you ask?" "You seem so quiet this morning. I just wondered if there might be anything wrong.""No nothing," "Well if something is," The girl leaned over, her hands on her knees with her whistle hanging from her neck," Anything at all, me and the others are more than willing to help you. ""Why would you do such a thing?""Because, you've been so nice to us. Taking us in and giving us food." "Still, you shouldn't help someone like me," "Why not?" Kari asked confused, tilting her head in wonder.'Because I'm going to have to get rid of you soon' "Forget about it," Kira replied. She flicked her wrist,"Go with the others now,""Ok," Kari walked away with confusion stuck in her mind.
Later in the afternoon. "Hey Kira! Come down to the lake with me." T.K laughed joyfully."I can't right-" she began as he took a hold of her arm. "Come on! It'll be fun! Everyone else is there." He insisted pulling her along. "Oh, ok," She went reluctantly. Everyone was swimming, having a great time. Kira just sat on a rock, stiffly bored. "Are you sure this waters safe?" Joe asked being careful."Ah Joe, just come in," Gomamon reassured."Come on in, Kira!" Tai laughed, splashing in the water with Agumon. "No, thats quite alright. I have something that I have to do," As the others played, she snuck away. She carefully walked to Myotismon's lair, checking to see if she was being followed. Kira entered the dark room and kneeled before DemiDevimon. "Where have you been human? What do you have to report?" DemiDevimon questioned sternly."I have found the digi-destined children. I am sorry, but I could not be able to sneak away without them noticing.""Perfect, have they noticed anything peculiar? ""I don't think so. None of them-'suddenly a picture of Matt came to mind. His smile. then another, of Kari, Her caring.' have...noticed... I may need a couple more days, I will destroy them." 'Why was she pleading for more days when she could easily get rid of all of them now?' In the back of Kira's mind her conscience arose. 'You know why you can't destroy them now.' It said softly. 'you know why' It kept saying the same phrase, soon, till it faded. "A few more days? I don't think Myotismon will be pleased with this." the small ball of feathers said."Two to three days at the least." Suddenly Myotismon appeared before them. "A few more days? When you already have them in your grasp? We need to destroy those rotten children at once. No excuses!""But Master-" Kira began. He cut her off. "You see, Kira," he started as a portal appeared in front of them,"How many times those brats have ruined my plans to take over the digital world." The portal began showing clips of battles with Agumon evolved to a full stage battling Myotismon's henchmen, Gabumon evolved to his higher stage and with the others cheering him on as he defeated more goons Myotismon had sent out. "Don't you see how important to me it will be to see them all fall, now that I have them right where I want them?" A malicious laugh escaped his mouth. Kira ignored his words as the portal showed the blonde haired, blue-eyed boy. Deep in her mind her conscience began again. 'You know why..'Myotismon caught her off guard. "Are you turning soft on me?" He shouted, grabbing a hold of her small arm. "What do you mean Master?" She swallowed, innocently asking."Do you have feelings for them?" he asked vaguely, still having a grip on her."N-No Master-H-how could I-" She stumbled her words. There was a definite change in her."Liar!" he hissed. "It's this one isn't it?" He waved his hand over the clear portal that was still in from of them, upon it appeared a picture of Matt. "I-I" she couldn't find the sentence to defend herself. "N-no never!" she said finally. "You will bring ALL of them to me at sunset tomorrow! You understand me. It's either them or your life! Now go. There is precious time being wasted!" Myotismon yelled dropping Kira to the ground. "Y-yes master, a-as I said, I will not fail y-you."She sputtered, scared of making her master angry. Quickly she ran out of the entrance. Running all the way back to the cavern, to the others, never stopping, never looking back. She finally reached the opening of the rocky grotto, panting. "Kira??" Tai said alarmed. "Are you alright?" To answer his question, Kira dropped to the floor, unconscious."Guess that's a no," Joe stated as the others ran to her side.
Kira awoke to find the 8 children and their digimon in a circle."We've got to defeat Myotismon. We've got to find a way to his hiding place and fight." Tai said."Better you defeating him than the other way around."Kira said surprising all of them. They turned and looked at her."The princess is finally awake," Matt smiled."Hi sleepy-head," Tai greeted. "Oh hush, whats all this about Myotismon?""We all have to find a way to get to Myotismon's lair so we can finally get rid of him.""No you mustn't!" Kira gasped."Why not Kira?" Patamon asked. "W-what if he captures you all or something?""We won't let him, right guys?" Gabumon informed, talking to the other digimon. "Right," they replied in unison."If you say so." she said worried. Sure, getting them to go on their own would be easy. But..something inside her told herself that she shouldn't let them."Don't worry about it," Matt said gently.
That night...Matt, T.K Joe, and Kira, who was asked to join, searched for food, while the others tried locating an entrance to Myotismons'a hideout."Here Kira, I found you something," T.K handed her a small flower. She was at dismay." Thank you T.K, What's it for?""Huh? I got it for you because you're my friend!" he smiled. "Patamon helped me find it so we both decided to give it to you because you've been so kind to us." "Yeah,"Matt added also, over-hearing," You're really helped us out a lot. You're a good friend to all of us." With that he smiled towards her.Kira was speechless. She placed the flower in her hair and put on a smile. Hours later each of them sat around a warm fire eating a huge meal."It's good that we haven't fought for a few days," Palmon said."Yeah, we've saved enough strength for whatever comes to us," Gabumon added. "Yes," Izzy began,"but we haven't made any progress relaxing.""Yeah we have," Tai said," We might have found Myotismon's hideout.""It was atop this mountain," Sora continued. "Tai spotted it with his small telescope."Kira listened carefully. 'This isn't good. If they have found Myotismon's hideout, and if they entered, It'd be a short battle. They wouldn't exist.'
Awaking to a chill morning, Mimi, Joe, and Sora, checked outside the front of the cave. "It isn't a time to leave, we should wait,"Izzy said. "It's much to vigorous out there with the wind and all." Kira barely opened her eyes when she heard, "My hat!" Mimi shouted. It had been pulled off and carried off into the wind. She rushed to the front of the cave. "I'll get it Mimi, stay here," She ran after it, forcing herself through. Matt bolted outside after her. Kira was being led this way and that, the wind was playing her and it wasn't very fun. She didn't notice the cliff nearby, and just as she captured the thing she was chasing, Kira slipped off the edge. A hand grabbed her arm, she looked up. "Matt!?" she said unexpectedly. "What are you doing?""Saving you, hold on, what ever you do, don't let go!" He said, using his strength to pull her dangling body up over the edge. Finally she was on solid ground again."Why did you do that for me?" she asked him."I don't know. Maybe the same reason you went after Mimi's hat," he replied, "because you wanted to.""Oh, because we're friends?" "Yeah," he smiled at her," We should get back, the others might worry," He took a hold of her hand. And in that instant, something had over come Kira. Her eyes shined and were no longer as dark as before. She knew what she had to do and she had to do it before the day ended. Tai saw the two as they walked back, holding hands. "Ooh, somebody's gotta crush," He teased."Oh whatever Tai," Matt smirked and rolled his eyes."You two make such a cute couple. When are you gonna start dating?""Get off it," Matt retorted as Tai was becoming more annoying."Ok, ok, just tell me when the wedding is alright buddy?" He grinned as he put an arm around Matt. Kira released from Matt's grasp and smiled at Tai. 'Silly boy' She thought. "Heres your hat Mimi," "Thank you Kira, you really didn't have to," She said placing it neatly on her head over her hair. "It was no problem. I WANTED to, really."
Near to the afternoon, as the sun was blazing in the middle of the sky, Kira realized she had to tell them all now so that they could get as far as they could from Myotismon's grasp. But wait, she couldn't tell them all. They wouldn't understand. 'Anything at all....we'll help you...' Kari's words echoed in her head. She would tell Kari...and Matt...They would listen. She raced out of the cave and stopped in place as she found them all sitting at the opening. "Hi Kira," Sora and some others greeted. "Hi," she replied quickly."Um, Kari, Matt, I need to talk to both of you,please?" The two looked at each other and stood up. "Sure," Kari answered. The others watched as they entered the dim, empty cave."Is there something wrong?" Matt asked as Kira paced back and forth."You all have to leave and get away from here as far as you can."But why?" Kari remarked."Because Myotismon is sending his henchmen out to get you by sunset and you have to leave now," "How do you know this? You couldn't be-" He blurted."I was one of them. Myotismon sent me to destroy you all""Then you're our enemy! You lied to us!" the blonde ranted."No! It was like that at first. but I can't turn you in now!""Matt, she's helping us now. She isn't against us." Kari explained trying to calm him down."How do we know she isn't lying?" Kari looked at Kira," She isn't. She's telling us the truth,""You've gotta understand Matt, please." Kira pleaded her eyes, full of hope. 'Please don't be mad at me, please' He sighed and his face softened. "I do, I was just a little startled. I'm sorry.""It's ok," she said relived,"But you and the others must go,""What about you? What will happen to you?" Kari questioned."If you all were to leave right now," she took Matt and Kari's hand into hers , " and Myotismon came, you would never see me again, ever.""No.....," Matt whispered. "Why don't you come with us? It'll be safer." he suggested gripping her hand tighter."I can't. ?You'd have more time if I distracted him. And you wouldn't be safe if I went. It's better to risk one life then 16..." She trailed off. "Anyway you have to go! Please go immediately before it's too late.""We....can't....It's..wrong," the blue eyed male said choking back the tears."Let's go," Kari replied quietly, she tugged on Matt's arm. "Goodbye Kira," the small girl sadly ended. Kira turned around and let a tear fall,"Goodbye....."Matt looked at her and turned away in defeat. "Bye....." They walked out of the cave. Suddenly, before even given a minute to think, the lonely saddened girl heard the cry of a girl and the shout of a boy. She wiped away the tears and ran out only to find Myotismon and his goons."NO!...But..You said sunset!" she yelled."You think I would trust you after that little scenario yesterday? Once you're even on the foot of betrayal, you go all the way, didn't you know that?" Myotismon evilly grinned."We came earlier than you would think. But I do have you to thank. Without you, I wouldn't have been this close to capturing these little brats""Kira!? You were our enemy?" Sora exclaimed as she was in the hands of bad digimon as were the others."She could have gotten us hurt," Joe fretted."I can't believe it!" Tai shouted."She isn't! She tried helping us!" Matt defended thrashing about, trying to get loose."She did you guys, really!" Kari added."Grab her!" Myotismon yelled as Kira ran towards the cage that the digimon were trapped in. One large digimon, Orgemon, snatched her up with his hand. "Let her go!!" T.K watched as his older brother pounded his fists on the hand of his captor. "Calm down little boy,"Myotismon laughed,"She won't be hurt..after we destroy her!" Kira fainted right after he said that. She was already too weak.
The digi-destined were held againest a wall with metal bars while their digimon were locked up in a cage in a far corner. DemiDevimon had snatched they're digi-vices and crests so there was no way their digi-mon could help them."Where do you think they took her?" Joe asked pondering."Probably in another room," Mimi replied."They....can't...have...Killed...her..yet.... right...?" Matt gasped for air. He was breathing hard from struggling earlier before."I don't know Myotismon to well. but she could still be alive." Izzy pointed out."It'll be alright, Matt," Kari comforted and then turned to her brother. Each exchanging worried glances.Just then, the doors to the dank room opened. In walked DemiDevimon and Myotismon."Hello digi-destined, or should I say goodbye? You will soon be destroyed anyhow." the tall dark vampire-digimon smiled as the crests and digi-vices hung from his hand."What'd..you do...with Kira?" Matt still trying to breathe, questioned desperately."Kira? Why, shes right here!" He stepped aside to reveal the young girl on her hands and knees. She looked so pale and weak. The others gasped at the sight. "What did you do to her?" Tai said angrily."Nothing of the sort, yet.." he retorted."Though it will be easy to delete someone so frail. Kira is of no use to me now," "What do you mean delete?" Izzy asked."You think she was a real girl? You fools, of course not. Just like a digimon, shes nothing but data stored into form." DeviDevimon explained.This came quiet a shock to all of them. "She's got to be real,"Matt murmured, "She has to...." By then Myotismon had forgotten Kira was there, even though they spoke of her. She had located the lever on the wall and began struggling to get to it. Finally when she had her hands on it..."Master! Look!"DemiDevimon shouted."Kira! the lever!"he spat out words. Myotismon turned and to no avail saw as the small girl, with what was left of her strength,push down on the long handle bar. "You are even more of a fool! Crimson lightning!" Myotismon yelled and immediately sent a bolt of bright red straight at the already weakened girl. "NOOOOOOOOO!" Matt screamed. Everybody else froze as they watched in horror to see Kira fall to the ground, unmoving. Free now, with no time to waste, Izzy snatched the crests and digi-vices from Myotismon's grasp. Tai and the others ran to the fallen girl. Myotismon just smirked as metal doors surrounded the whole room. "Doesn't matter to me if you have those crests now," he remarked. "This whole place will blow up in 2 minutes! Goodbye and good riddens Digi-destined!" He and DemiDevimon suddenly disappeared leaving no traces.Mimi let out an ear piercing scream "No!!!! I don't wanna die! I have so many places to go and people to see! Money to spend!" she cried. "Mimi calm down! For all our sakes and ears!"Tai exclaimed, his hands covering his ears. "We've got to get out of here!" Sora shouted. They all nodded their heads in agreement. "You're all forgetting one thing," Gomamon said."Get us outta here!" Palmon cried. "Ooh thats right," Tai picked up a loose piece of metal, "Stand back," he said and broke open the locked cage. "How will we get out of here? The exits are blocked." Joe noted. "We'll give it a try," Agumon suggested. "Pepper breath!" a small hole burned through the metal. "Super shocker!""Blue Blaster!""Spiral twister!"With each attack the hole got big enough for all of them to escape through. Matt picked up Kira's body and followed the rest to continue find an exit out."Izzy hurry!" Mimi yelled in spite of being rushed. "I can't take being under pressure," "I'm trying, I'm trying!" Izzy replied. He was finding a way out of the mountain top by going through the computers data."That way!" he pointed left."Keep going that way and we'll be outta here." "Alright. Good job Izzy" Tai congratulated. They each ran as fast as their legs could carry them. Suddenly there was a rumbling sound."Oh no, it's gonna blow," Joe panicked."Keep going,"Izzy reassured," The exit is a few feet ahead." Just as they rushed out of the deep hiddened cave. The top of the mountain exploded, They shielded themselves in a ditch behind a large rock."Finally, they're gone." Myotismon said aloud with a crooked smile."Think again," Tai showed up with Agumon by his side and the others lined up behind him."You'll pay for what you did,"Matt clenched his fists. "Gabumon are you ready?"Gabumon already set, quickly nodded his head. "Gabumon digi-volve to--Garurumon!" The others joined in in digi-volving."Palmon digi-volve to--Togemon!" "Gomamon digi-volve to--Ikkakumon!""Tentomon digi-volve to--Kabutarimon!""Biyomon digi-volve to--Birdramon!""Patamon digi-volve to--Angemon!""Gatomon digi-volve to--Angewoman!" "Agumon digivolve to--Greymon!" "Get him!" Tai yelled. "How about a needle spray?"Togemon offered, sending an array of sharp needles towards Myotismon's hovering body. He blocked it so easy." Grizzly wing" A horde of bats flew towards them."Hand of fate!" Most of the dark creatures disappeared."Nova blast" Greymon took his turn, but then again "Crimson lightning!" Another attack avoided."This is too hard! We haven't even come close to scarring him" Joe sighed."No way! I won't lose to him." Matt stated. But no matter what Matt wanted all the digimon were lessening in strength. They all shrunk back to rookie form, some went all the way back to the in-training stage. "I'm too hungry, Tai" Koromon moaned."Im too weak now, I'm sorry Matt," Gabumon groaned with sorrow.'We can't lose. We can't.'Matt clenched his crest. It started glowing. The others did as well. They all came together and aimed at Myotismon. The beams went right through him, disintegrating him. Destroying every part of his body. "NOOOO! Curse you children! I'll be back! You haven't seen the last of me!" There was a flash of light and seconds later he was vanquished. DemiDevimon had flew the coop as soon as the battle began. He was nowhere to be found. The 8 were surprised. Is he gone? Is he really gone? There was a soft moan coming from behind the bushes. "Kira!" T.K blurted. They ran towards the gentle sound and surrounded her as Matt kneeled by her side. "Are you okay?" Tai asked as he too, sat by her."I struggled to stay alive, to see you guys," she began," for the last time,""You can't leave us," T.K stammered. Matt was straining, not to cry the whole time. He couldn't hold it mucher longer, and the tears ran down his face, dripping onto his hand which was securely holding hers."Will we ever see you again?" Sora asked." Maybe, in another place, in another world," she paused, "Please, don't cry. I don't want to see such sad faces. No matter what, we'll meet again, and until then. I'll wait for you all, because we're friends. Goodbye and good luck digi-destined." Her eyes closed and her body suddenly glowed. It disappeared into sparkles in the air. The tiny flower T.K had given to her the day before fell slowly to the ground.
"It's over, It's all over." Sora sighed. Out of nowhere a familar hologram of an old man appeared."Hello children," Gennai said calmly. "Why such sad faces? You defeated Myotismon. He's gone.""But we lost a friend," T.K sniffled."Gennai, is it possible...is it possible to meet someone again..In another world maybe?" Tai asked."Oh I guess so, anything's possible" was his reply," you should all be happy, put on a smile. You all get to go home for a while.""Home! Really?? No way! Why?"Mimi gasped, full of questions."Oh let's just say you all deserve it, Job well done""Home?" Matt,leaning against a tree silently, looked up, his heavenly blue eyes seemed a bit dull. 'It would be better than being here any longer' His now dry face greeted another tear.
An hour later..."Are you ready?" Gennai cautioned. "Yeah, let's go," Joe answered."This is great! Now I get to go take showers and eat real food and stay home and relax" Mimi raved. Finally they get to go home. And their digimon get to go with them. "It'd be fun, we'll get to play ball and everything Matt," T.K pointed out."Yeah, Just like we used to.""Good luck. See you all soon." Gennai stated. All 16 of them were pulled through a riff, transported, back to their world. They fell onto the grass in a park. "Are we really home? This isn't a joke?"Sora questioned."It isn't April fool's day. I don't think Gennai would joke."
