Have
you ever had a fit to climb a skyscraper?? Check out the website
of Alain Robert,
find out why this French dude was dubbed the real-life 'Spiderman'.
If you think we're skyscraper fanatic, Alain is an extreme case,
just watch him scaling up some of the world's tallest skyscrapers
with his bare hands.
Bangkok hasn't seen many dare devil skyscraper climbers, yet. Although
last year, an American national did managed to climbed up to the
top of Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn) unnoticed. This wellknown 19th
century BKK landmark is 98m tall. In quite a bizarre incident this
guy also proclaimed he's the reincarnated Buddha (yeh right) at
least the Thai police weren't impress, he was later released but
had to undergo psychiatric assessment with a local skyscraper shrink

Asiaweek
has a special column a while ago (two years ago in fact) on Thailand's
most prominent architect, Dr Sumet Jumsai , designer of the famous 'Robot
Building' in Bangkok. His recent works include a very abstract looking
tower in Geneva (a United Nation's office) Personally I find this
article quite interesting.
