Have you ever had a fit to climb a skyscraper?? Check out the website of Alain Robert, find out why this French dude was dubbed the real-life 'Spiderman'. If you think we're skyscraper fanatic, Alain is an extreme case, just watch him scaling up some of the world's tallest skyscrapers with his bare hands.

Bangkok hasn't seen many dare devil skyscraper climbers, yet. Although last year, an American national did managed to climbed up to the top of Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn) unnoticed. This wellknown 19th century BKK landmark is 98m tall. In quite a bizarre incident this guy also proclaimed he's the reincarnated Buddha (yeh right) at least the Thai police weren't impress, he was later released but had to undergo psychiatric assessment with a local skyscraper shrink :D

Asiaweek has a special column a while ago (two years ago in fact) on Thailand's most prominent architect, Dr Sumet Jumsai , designer of the famous 'Robot Building' in Bangkok. His recent works include a very abstract looking tower in Geneva (a United Nation's office) Personally I find this article quite interesting.

It's been a frustrating two weeks without any solid work. A lot of time have been wasted on editing and optimising graphics...but little in the way of Flash. Anyway, here's a sneak preview of what's to come: a new Bangkok Skyscrapers directory. with about 60 buildings sorted by heights and the total no.of storeys. I hope the thumbnail pics will make it less daunting to browse your way through my website (and spotting your favourite skyscrapers!!)

The Bangkok Skyscraper Site also has an update a while ago. There's some pretty impressive photos and latest news on construction events in Bangkok and stuffs on abandon high-rise projects in Bangkok. Check em out!!!

Today's update is an info page on the 43 storey Italthai Tower. Sorry for the lack of update folks, I've been working on the Bangkok satellite city page and new Flash interface for this website. But stay cool - these features will be added soon -- don't forget to download flash plug-ins in advance though. Get a free flash player at the Macromedia website - (for those of you using Internet Explorer 5 Flash is probably already installed with your browser : )

Oh!!! nearly forget to wish everyone a happy valentines day especially 4 all you lovebirds outthere. Hope you have a v.romantic evening on top of a skyscraper near you - (where you can have dinner, cuddle etc etc : ) PS whatever you do, if you get ever get dumped by your ex-lover don't go jump off the skyscrapers ok? It's not a very romantic ending!!

A minor correction: the tallest of the three buildings at All Seasons Place was in fact the 'China Resources Tower' not the Capital Tower as we have reported earlier. According to a recent advertisement in the Bangkok Post this building has been 'topped out' so it's official, this 53 storey tower is the 5th tallest building in Bangkok at 210m.

Read about the real-life horror story of Bangkok's own towering inferno. A new info page on Bank of Ayuddhya HQ added.
