RICHARD ROGERS : :
Here is another great architect / urban planner and a living legend. Lord Rogers made his debut in the architectural scene when he co-designed the Pompidou art centre in Paris. Then came famous buildings like Lloyd Headquarters, Chanel 4 headquarters, London.  Most recently he designed the Millenium Dome in London.  In '98, Lord Rogers also wrote a book on sustainable development called  'Cities for a Small Planet' - a highly readable book and also quite cute (it's got a pink cover).
