NEW
ZONING POLICY TARGET TALL BUILDINGS
Tall
buildings will be banned
on Ratchadapisek road under
a new building construction
ordinance passed by City
Council late January. The
ordinance limits construction
to two sections
of Ratchadapisek-Charoen
Krung intersection to West
Rama III intersection to
Sunthorn Kosa intersection.
Heights for new buildings
will be limited to 15 metres
above street level and to be
set back at least 15 metres from the street boundary.

above ground, not 89 storeys

RESOURCES TOWER OFFICIALLY
OPENED!!!

China
Resources Tower, the centrepiece
of the All Seasons Place
complex is officially opened
after an opening ceremony
held on 10th January. The
ceremony was presided by
the Thai premier Taksin
Shinawatra who declared
the project "one of
the most prestigious address
locations to rival other
similar well-established
high profile addresses in
London and New York".
At 210m high CRT
officially became the 5th tallest building
in Bangkok.
At 53 storey, the tower tower has a total office
space of 63,000 sqm. CRT
is flanked
by two smaller office towers
at the All Seasons Complex,
M Thai Tower and Capital
Tower (35 storeys each).
The combined floor space
for the three buildings
is 93,000 sqm. The other
towers at the All Seasons
complex: All Seasons Condominium
and the 5 star Bangkok Conrad
hotel, are both under construction.
All Seasons Place represents
a total investment value
of 20 billion baht (approx.
$US500 million), and is
considered the largest single
investment in Bangkok in
the area of commercial property
development. The project
was developed as a joint
venture between the M Thai
Group and Hong Kong based
China Resources (Holdings).
