Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications (WGA) |
The Windows Genuine Advantage seems to cause problems for some people and Microsoft is taking its fight against software piracy to the desktop. Once "Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications" installed, users of a pirated copy will see alerts at startup, login and during their use of the operating system. The alerts read: "This copy of Windows is not genuine; you may be a victim of software counterfeiting." Those who use a legitimate copy of the software won't see any messages, Microsoft said. People will be able to decline the tool download, said David Lazar, director of the Windows Genuine program at Microsoft. Once installed, the alerts can be suppressed by right-clicking on them when they appear during the running of Windows, but the tool can not be uninstalled, according to Microsoft. Some website also mentioned that the update that provided by Microsoft not only fixed security issue but it also collect user PC information in details, those updates normally will sound like this "A remote code execution security issue has been identified ..." or "A security issue has been identified ..." or "An attacker may exploit a vulnerability ..." or "A local elevation of privilege security issue has been identified ..." and etc. Believe it or not. I don't know how long this information about WGA "Third Method" will stay online. Several people wrote us and said one of this "Third Method" works perfectly however (REMEMBER THIS) TopCrewz suggest you purchase a genuine copy of Windows. (REMEMBER THIS) ALWAYS SUPPORT LEGAL SOFTWARE AND RESPECT SOFTWARE CREATOR. Updated by TopCrewz, May 2006.
