Dream August 28th 2000

This dream was really confusing for me.  I think the situation changed a lot, but overall it was the same dream.  I was in this large building.  Must have been 8 stories high.  Like a hotel or something, because there wasn�t much stuff.  I felt like I was at a star wars card game tournament, yet I don�t remember that ever happening.  The first thing I really remember is looking through a door, and seeing Tool playing onstage.  I was looking in from the side so I could see the back view of Maynard (lead singer). They were singing Sober, it was awesome.  The security guard came and asked me to leave.  It turned out I knew they guy, he used to play starwars.  His name was Tom.  We talked for a bit and he told me he didn�t have the time to play the game anymore.  It was cool, but now I had to get back somewhere??  Well time passed that I don�t remember, and we found out Tool was playing again in an auditorium room in the same building.  So we went there.  I found my friends, Andy and Jericho, sitting on the bottom floor towards the back.  I sat by them.  Tool came out, without instruments, and talked to the audience.  They asked,  �Does anybody here have tape records on them?�  A few people did.  I thought they were going to take them because they don�t like people making bootlegs of their shows.  But instead they linked the tape recorders directly into the audio board so the fans could get a direct tape (I don�t know if that really works; but hey it�s my dream).  So then they left and the �opening band� came onstage.  It was a bunch of people singing some stupid song. It was really lame.  Then after them Tool came back out.  But only Danny had his drum set.  He played a simple beat, and A video came on the many televisions set up around the auditorium.  It was some dumb cartoon shit that Andy and a few other people found amusing.  I hated it.  I was mad, I wanted to see Tool perform.  A bunch of people left, I guess they were mad too.  So we worked our way up the seats to the front.  Maynard was sitting to the left with the rest of the band, talking to a few people.  Eventually Maynard got up and went into a room in the back.  Andy went in there to say hi or something, and then he went somewhere else I dunno.  Then as Maynard came out, I stopped him and asked if he was going to sing.  He said no.  I was bummed but I said, �You music means a lot to me.�  He said thanks and we shook hands.  I was really bored of the video so I left for awile.  I went back into the main hall, which was like a dining area on several levels and there were pillars separating different parts.  I found my dad and sisters.  They were just chilling and I guess planning to have dinner soon.  So then I wanted to go back to the auditorium.  But there was a problem, it was blocked off or locked or something.  So I had to find another way around.  I searched through lots of rooms, made tunnels between floors, etc.  I found my way outside, and I could see a street with buildings on both sides.  I think I was in Michigan, but I don�t remember for sure.  There was a really nice building on the left.  It was really famous or something, it had blue decorations lining it up and down on both sides.  Really hard to explain but it was amazing.  So eventually I made it back inside.  I found Tool again, they decided to sing a few songs to please the peoples.  They started off with my favorite, Stinkfist.  Then they sang Sober again and a bunch of the good ones.  I saw this little kid, like 5 years old.  He was wearing the naked embrace Tool shirt.  I thought that was really cool.  That�s all I remember!!!!
