Group Lead : “Edge” Development

Reports to: Head of Engineering, Pune

As leader of the “ Edge” Development team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the delivery of DSP/RISC based Audio , Video components , drivers and protocols on various embedded hardware platforms for Client’s VeriCall “Edge” Product

Essential skillset

· Qualifications: Minimum BE/ BTech in E&TC or equivalent

· Minimum 8 years of experience in Audio, Video and Communication component development in embedded systems.

· Leading teams to design and implement VoIP system components

· Strong C programming, debugging, optimization experience for embedded systems based on DSPs and RISC cores.

· Experience of algorithm design, analysis and development for DSP/Telecommunications systems

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent spoken and written English

· Project Management and Planning

Desirable skillset

· MTech /PhD

· Development experience under embedded real time operating systems including Linux.

· Experience in development of VoIP protocols and device drivers

· Experience on platforms including ARM family, TI DSP family

Job Responsibilities

Group Lead : Validation

Reports to: Head of Engineering, Pune

As leader of the Validation team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in validation of Client’s V2IP solutions comprising of Media Gateways, Media/Protocol engines and a Suite of embedded applications and solutions on various embedded hardware platforms and operating systems.

Essential Skill set

· Qualifications: Minimum BE/ BTech in E&TC /Comp Engg/ Electrical or equivalent

· Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in Design and implementation of software test methodologies for module and system validation in areas of Telecom/ VoIP/ Datacom

· Setup, operation, implementation of a validation setup for Telecom/ VoIP solutions such as IP Phones, Gateways, Softswitches, IP PBX, etc. would be preferred.

· Should demonstrate leadership with resolving complex system defects/errors; should have sound knowledge of next generation VoIP and telephony architectures and IP networking

· Expertise in C programming and any of the scripting languages (PERL, TCL/TK)

· Experience in validation of at least one VoIP protocol SIP/H.323/MGCP

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent spoken and written English

Desirable skill set

· Good expertise in C++ programming

· Should have good knowledge of subjective voice quality measurement standards (MOS, PSQM, PESQ)

· Working knowledge of Linux or any other embedded operating system.

Job Responsibilities

· Team lead for validation setup development and product validation.

· Develop validation schedules, strategies and plans, and actively participate in functional specification reviews.

· Architect, design and lead the development (or procurement) of test automation tools for test harnesses and for discrete functional and performance tests.

· Research and procure third party test tools and equipment

· Equipment selection, study, configuration, setup, maintenance, upgrade of validation lab.

· Programming / automation as per the validation plan for different releases.

· Develop test cases, procedures, and tools for new features.

· Scope of validation:

Media, VoIP protocols, VoIP applications, networking, feature testing, corner cases, stress testing, interop with other VoIP equipment etc.

Group Lead : “Core” Development

Reports to: Head of Engineering, Pune

As leader of the Core (Media Gateway) Development team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the delivery of embedded applications, features and enhancements for Client’s VeriCall “Core” product meant for applications in the core network.

Essential Skill set

· Qualifications: Minimum B.E/B.Tech in E&TC/Comp Engg/ Electrical preferably from a reputed institute

· Minimum 8 years of experience in design and development of embedded applications /device drivers.

· Proven track record of leading teams to design and develop embedded applications preferably in areas of telecom / datacom

· Should be able to guide/mentor/motivate team members.

· Expert knowledge of embedded C and writing multithreaded applications

· Expertise in application / device driver development under an RTOS preferably VxWorks and embedded Linux and knowledge of build tools

· Sound knowledge of IP and or ATM networking protocols

· Sound understanding of VoIP domain

· Experience in one or more gateway control protocols (SIP, MGCP, H.323, H.248)

· Exposure to CVS and/or Subversion or similar configuration management tools

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent spoken and written English

Desirable Skill set

· Experience of Freescale StarCore family of DSPs

· Experience of integrating and/or optimising speech codec algorithms (e.g. GSM FR, GSM AMR, SMV, EVRC, G.729A, G.723.1)

· Experience in PSTN signalling systems (FXS/FXO, SS7, ISDN)

Group Lead / Principle Software Engineer : Strategic Operation Team ( PROJECTS)

Job Description (Permanent):

Trinity Convergence develops and licenses embedded communications software for telecommunications equipment manufacturers and semiconductor manufacturers. As leader of the Strategic Operations team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the delivery of porting activities to a variety of silicon platforms

Responsibilities will include:

Regularly working closely with the following parts of the business; Strategic Operations Team in Cambridge. Occasionally working with the following parts of the business; product development, product management, customer account and Business Development teams. There may be requirements to deal directly with third party silicon vendors on a case by case basis.

The Strategic Operations Team Lead is responsible for managing resources in Pune to deliver ported VeriCall Edge software that supports new silicon platforms as required by the business. You will also ensure that the Strategic Operations team in Pune follows Trinity Convergence Quality procedures as they relate to that area of the business.

You will also be required to undertake some development work to deliver ported platforms to the business. Drawing on your professional experience, you will provide a critical contribution to the support of Client’s customers.

Team Leadership responsibilities will include the day to day management and motivation of resources in the Strategic Operations Team in Pune, provision of input for staff reviews, regular review and assessment of progress on porting projects, coordination and reporting the team workloads and tasks on a weekly basis, identification and initial interview of new staff for the Customer Operations Team in Pune.

Essential experience and skills required:

· Minimum BE/BTech in E&TC or equivalent

· Minimum of 6 to 8 years experience working with embedded systems, ideally in the telecommunications industry

· Strong C/C++ and debugging capabilities for embedded systems

· Experience using real-time operating systems, ideally Linux, WinCE, Symbian

· Proven analytical and problem solving skills

· Previous experience of leading technical teams

· Good man management and motivational skills

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Strong organizational skills

5. Linux Expert :( Guru)

· 4 to 6 yrs of experience

· Embedded Linux expert having porting experience on multiple Linux Flavors.

He should be highly conversant with Debugging, worked with Linux kernels and API's for Embedded telecom Development. Porting, debugging experience. Setup of development environment, working with various boards ARM, Marvel etc.
