This section explains in part what I believe my daycare brings to you and your child. How I run my program and day to day activities as well as what I believe is important to the enrichment of your child.
Caring and Sharing is our motto; Sharing and taking turns is a big part of our play here and is strongly encouraged through all activities. I find this to be essential for developing a positive base in early social skills and introduces children an awareness of their own and other's feelings at a very young age as well as promoting communication amongst peers. Where learning is fun and fun is learning; During daily circle time we get together and sing as well as talk about basic preschool themes. These may include letter, number and color recognition, the weather or we may work on a seasonal/holiday theme. We explore these various themes further through stories, songs, dance (mouvement), crafts and feltboard activities. Even our toddlers are encouraged to participate in circle time.
I like to keep an open line of communication albeit the relationship between child/provider, parents/provider or amongst their peers. They are taught manners and respect for themselves, others around them and for belongings (theirs & mine). But most of all, I focus my energy on having a fun-filled day. |
