�2 cups flour
�1 cup salt �2 Tbsp cream of tartar �2 cups water �1 Tbsp oil �food coloring |
Mix all ingredients in saucepan and cook over low heat while stirring
until stiff and removes from sides of pan. Let cool on countertop before kneeding well. Keeps several months when stored in
a zippered plastic storage bag or airtight container at room temperature. |

How to Make |
�2 cups flour
�1 cup salt �4 Tsp cream of tartar �1 1/2 cups boiling water �2-3 Tbsp oil �1 pkg unsweetened drink crystals |
Mix dry ingredients together. Add oil to water then stir into dry ingredients
until a dough forms. Knead well. Will keep for several weeks when stored in
a zippered plastic storage bag or airtight container at room temperature. Hint: Add food coloring drops in water/oil mixture to obtain
a deeper color. |

How to Make |
�2 1/2 cups flour
�2 1/2 cups used coffee grounds �1 1/2 cups salt �1 cup sand �water |
This dough looks like a rock once dry and breaks
open easily. Great for concealing small objects/treasures for children to discover. Mix first four ingredients
together and gradually add just enough water for mixture to hold together
when blended. Allow about 3-7 days to dry. Hint: Use less water for faster drying time.

| Apple-Cinnamon Dough Recipe |

�1 cup ground cinnamon
�1 cup applesauce �1/4 cup white glue (optional) |
Stir together cinnamon, applesauce and glue with a
spoon until the dough becomes stiff; use your hands to knead into a ball. Flatten on waxed paper and roll out dough.
Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes and a straw to cut out hole for hanging. Let air dry overnight or put in preheated
350�F oven for half an hour. Allow to cool completely. These can be used for ornaments and smell wonderful too! |
Thrifty Common Household Items

How to Make |
�1 empty plastic 2L ice dream tub
�1 cup boiling water �1 Tbsp baby oil �1 Tbsp liquid baby soap �1 Tbsp liquid baby lotion �1 roll of paper towel |
Cut paper towel in half with serrated knife. Use a strong paper towel
such as Bounty© or Scott© Towels, or the wipes may not stand up as well. Pour water into tub adding oil, soap
and lotion. Stir well with whisk. Leaving cardboard tube in middle, add paper towels to tub with mixture and cover. Wait 1-2 minutes
and turn over tub so that towels completly absorb all liquid. Open lid and remove inner cardboard. Wipes can be pulled straight
from middle of the tube. ready to use. Replace lid when not in use. These wipes cost just a few cents each.
Hint:If using "jumbo rolls", make 2 1/2 times the recipe as these rolls are thicker.
