Bloody Bug Juice

Ingredients:

24 oz Frozen strawberries -- thawed
6 oz Lemonade, frozen concentrate
1 qt Ginger ale
1 cup Raisins
1 cup Blueberries-fresh or frozen

Place the strawberries in a bowl and mash with a fork. In a large pitcher, mix the strawberry mash, lemonade and ginger ale. Place handfuls of raisins and blueberries (bugs) into tall glasses. Pour the liquid over the bugs, then sit back and watch the bugs and scum rise to the top of each glass. To quench a creepy crowd's thirst, double or triple this recipe and serve in a punch bowl. Drape some gummy worms over the rim of your bowl for a particularly swampy-looking effect!

Bobbing Apple Punch

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups orange juice
4 cups apple cider
1 cup pineapple juice
2 tablespoons sugar
4 cups ginger ale, chilled
6 to 8 small red apples
1 orange, sliced

In punch bowl mix orange juice, apple cider, pineapple juice and sugar. Chill of a couple hours. Before serving add ginger ale, apples, orange slices and ice cubes.

Caramel Coffee

Ingredients:

6 tablespoons Maxwell House Coffee, any variety
1/2 cup KRAFT Caramel Dessert Topping
4 1/2 cups cold water
Whipped topping
Chocolate-covered toffee

Place coffee in filter in brew basket of coffeemaker. Place topping in empty pot of coffeemaker. Prepare coffee with cold water. When brewing is complete, stir until well mixed. Top each serving with whipped topping and chocolate-covered toffee, if desired.

Errie Witch's Brew

Ingredients:

2 liter chilled ginger ale
1/2 gallon lime sherbet

Allow sherbet to soften for about 1 hour in bottom of punch bowl. Pour ginger ale over and stir until all sherbet is dissolved. For a great Halloween treat, serve in a large well- cleaned pumpkin with a great face painted in it!

Errie Witch's Brew 2

Ingredients:

4 cups cranberry juice
1 cup chopped candied ginger
3 oranges
12 ounce can frozen apple juice concentrate
6 ounce can frozen limeade concentrate
2 cups grapes
2 32-ounce bottles ginger ale
4 cups water
1 to 2 pounds dry ice

In a 1 to 2 quart pan, bring 1 cup of cranberry juice and candied ginger to a boil over high heat. Boil, uncovered, about 2 minutes, set aside. With a vegetable peeler, peel zest from oranges; cut peel into thin 2 inch long worms. Add orange peel to cranberry mixture. Cover and chill at least 4 hours or as long as overnight.

Juice oranges; put juice in a 6 to 8 quart pan or heavy bowl. Stir in cranberry-ginger mixture, the 3 cups cranberry juice, apple concentrate, limeade, grapes and water. If made ahead, cover and chill up to 2 hours. Add ginger ale and about a 1 pound piece of dry ice (DO NOT put small pieces in punch or cups); ice should smolder at least 30 minutes. Ladle into cups. Add any remaining ice when bubbling ceases.

Ghoul Aide

Ingredients:

1 Grape Kool-aid
1 Orange Kool-aid
2 C- sugar
3 quarts- ice water
1 liter- ginger ale

In pitcher {or plastic witches cauldran}, dissolve the mix and 2 cups of sugar in water. Just before serving, add gingerale.

Golin Goo Drink

Ingredients:

1 pkg. (8-serving size) JELL-O Brand Grape or Orange Flavor Gelatin
4 cups (1 qt.) cold prepared KOOL-AID Grape or Orange Flavor Soft
Drink Mix

Prepare gelatin as directed on package. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Break gelatin into small flakes with fork. Spoon about 1/2 cup gelatin into each of 8 tall glasses. Pour 1/2 cup cold soft drink over gelatin in each glass. Serve immediately with a straw to sip gelatin pieces and soft drink.

Two Color Goo: Prepare 1 pkg. (4-serving size) each grape and orange flavor gelatin as directed on package. Refrigerate and break into flakes as directed. Layer 1/4 cup each orange and grape gelatin flakes in each glass. Pour 1/2 cup cold soft drink over gelatin in each glass.

Fizzy Goblin Goo: Just before serving, prepare KOOL-AID as directed, substituting cold seltzer for water.

Gory Hand

Take a clean rubber glove and fill it with water (clear or tinted). Gummi Worms and Raspberry Jam can be added for extra effect. Tie the glove shut and put it in the deep freeze. Keep it in there until your party. When you're ready take it out of the glove and put it in the punchbowl instead of ice!

Mystical Punch

Ingredients:

Ice cube tray
raisins
4 1-pint bottles cranberry juice
2 1/2 cups peach juice
1 cup fresh lime juice
2 cups orange juice
sugar to taste

Place raisins in ice cube trays. Add water. Freeze. This will make them look like they have insects in them.

Keep the juices refrigerated until you are ready to use them. In a punch bowl, combine all the juices. Add the ice cubes and serve.

Nuclear Waste Punch

Ingredients:

1 measure blue curacao
1 measure Bailey's Irish Cream
top up with one pint cider (or lager if you prefer)

The end result is a sort of greenish-brown liquid with scummy bits floating in it and a THICK layer of scum on top. Tastes wonderful, especially if you dunk chocolate bars in. (These are referred to as Control Rods, and the bar of preference is a Toffee Crisp, if only because the crisped rice pieces start floating around in the drink and making it look even nastier)

Orange Frost

Ingredients:

orange sherbet
vanilla ice cream
lemon-lime carbonated soda

In a blender, place 2 parts orange sherbet and 1 part vanilla ice cream. Add a soda to your own taste. Blend until smooth.

Phantom Punch

Ingredients:

1 Qt. Orange Juice
1 Qt. Seltzer Water or Club Soda
1/2 Gallon Sherbert
Apple Pieces
Raisins
Tangerine Slices
Grape Juice

Combine the liquid ingredients in a large bowl. Using a muffin tin, make 6 phantom faces by freezing apple pieces, raisins, and tangerine slices in grape juice. Float these on the mixture. Complete by slicing sherbert into small squares and float on top. Serves 8-10 thirsty ghosts!

Putrid Punch

Ingredients:

1 13-ounce package of lemon lime Kool-Aid
1 cup sugar
8 cups water
1 can frozen orange juice concentrate
4 cups ginger ale
Worm cubes (ice cubes with gummy worms frozen inside)
3 scoops orange sherbert.

Empty the Kool-Aid package into a punch bowl. Add the sugar, then the water, and stir until dissolved. Stir in the orange juice. Just before serving, add the ginger ale and worm cubes and float the scoops of sherbert on top. Before long, the punch will be green and infested with worms.

Radioactive Punch

Ingredients:

Blue Kool-Aid
Orange Juice or Mountain Dew
Gory hand (see above)

Mix kool-aid and orange juice in a large punch bowl. Add the frozen hand just before serving. Dry ice and back lighting are good for effect too.

For an alcoholic punch add some blue curacao to the punch.

Sulfuric Acid Swig

Ingredients:

6 ounces lemonade, frozen concentrate--partially thawed
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 cup grapefruit juice -- cold
2 quarts lemon sherbet
1 quart club soda -- cold

In a large pitcher, mix together the lemonade concentrate, lemon juice and grapefruit. Add to this the amount of water required on the lemonade can. Pour the liquid into tall glasses, filling them halfway, and add a scoop of lemon sherbet to each. Fill the glasses with club soda and serve immediately. Just before serving, sprinkle the top of each glass with a pinch of lemon or lime-flavored powdered drink mix. Makes for a totally toxic-looking treat!

Vampire Punch

Ingredients:

8 cups cranberry juice
6 cups sparkling apple cider
6 orange slices

Put all ingredients in a punch bowl. Add ice cubes just before serving.

Witches Brew

Ingredients:

Lemonade concentrate
cold water to mix
green food coloring
dry ice

Mix up a batch of lemonade from concentrate. Add green food coloring to the lemonade to give it a spooky look. Get a plastic witch's cauldron and place a piece of dry ice in it. Pour the brew over the dry ice and watch your kid's delight.

Witches Brew 2

Ingredients:

4 cinnamon sticks
16 whole allspice berries
5-inch square cheesecloth
12-inch length kitchen string
4 cups apple cider
4 cups cranberry juice
Orange slices for garnish
dry ice

Wrap cinnamon and allspice in cheesecloth, tying into bag with string. Combine cider and cinnamon packet in large saucepan. Bring to simmering over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook at bare simmer for ten minutes. 2. Add cranberry juice. Bring to simmering. Remove cheescloth bag; discard. Remove from heat. Let stand about ten minutes before serving. Garnish with orange sliced if desited.
