�For right now,� MyKenna said. �Give us a couple of minutes.�
�Yeah,� Dakota said.
�So what are you two doing?� Aaron asked.
�Nothing,� Dakota and Nickolas said simultaneously and Aaron and MyKenna looked at each other.
�Yeah,� Aaron said.
�Just talking,� Nickolas lied and Dakota nodded in agreement.
�I need another drink,� Dakota said getting up. �Excuse me.� She walked away and a few seconds later Nickolas walked away himself.
�Was there some tension there?� Aaron questioned. �I don�t mean regular tension, but that sexual tension.�
�You noticed it too, huh?� MyKenna asked and Aaron nodded.
�Does she want Nick?�
�Like you wouldn�t believe. It�s pretty bad.�
�How bad?�
�Oh, um�uh, to the point where she�s depressed and crying over it.�
�That is bad.�
�Yeah and I worry about her. I just don�t want her to hurt herself.�
�Maybe we could get them together.�
�How?�
�The DJ takes requests for anything. Perhaps we could request a nice slow song for the two of them so they get up and dance.�
�That could work.�
�What do you have in mind?�
�I don�t know.�

�Sure.�
They got up and walked back to the dance floor, as Dakota walked over to the table, shortly joined by Nickolas. Dakota sat down and Nickolas sat across from her. He looked at her and smiled. He waited a few seconds then looked away. Looking at her any longer he was going to get excited, more than he already was.
Dakota looked at Nickolas and asked, �Do you want to dance?� Nickolas looked at her and gave a little grin.
�Uh, I guess so,� Nickolas said, as they got up and joined the others on the dance floor. Aaron and MyKenna looked at them.
�No sexual songs, eh?� MyKenna said smiling and Aaron just shrugged.
�At least they�re dancing and not sitting there,� Aaron pointed out. �Why waste a good night, huh?�
�I don�t know.�
�Oh well, because at least we�re having fun.�
�Lots of fun.� He smiled and they kissed.

Nickolas and Dakota continued to dance with a good space between them, the way Nickolas wanted it so he didn�t end up taking her right there. As they dance, Dakota started to feel a little unsure about the whole her-and-Nickolas-getting-together dream she had. What was up with the space between them all of a sudden? The whole time they have been together he was practically hinting around that he wanted her. What happened? She started feeling a breaking in her heart and stopped dancing. She looked at Nickolas, who stopped dancing himself, and was looking at her. She started walking away and Nickolas grabbed her arm.
�Where ya going?� Nickolas asked and Dakota looked at him.
�Um�to the bathroom,� Dakota replied and Nickolas left her go.
�Sorry.�
�Yeah.�
�Alright.� She quickly walked away leaving Nickolas standing there alone. Nickolas started back over to the table and Aaron stepped up beside him. �What?�
�What�d you do to DJ?� Aaron asked.
�Nothing, why?�
�Because she looks upset.� Nickolas looked at him.
�She was going to the bathroom.�
�What�d you say to her?�
�Nothing.�
�I�m your brother, Nick.�
�Thanks for reminding me.�
�So what happened?�
�Nothing.�

�I ain�t. We were dancing and she stopped so she could go to the bathroom. Nothing major.�

�Ruining what?� Nickolas looked at his brother confused.
�A possible relationship with DJ.� Nickolas raised an eyebrow. �Don�t even tell me you don�t find her attractive in any kind of way.�
�She�s a nice-looking girl with a great personality.�
�Just say ya think she�s sexy inside and out.� Nickolas only grinned. �See I know you too well.�
�Whatever.� She sighed and sat down. �She probably ain�t interested anyway.�
�That�s not what a little birdie told me.� Aaron smirked and Nickolas looked at him interested. �Let�s just say she has a very big spot in her life just for you.� He smiled and Nickolas gave a grin.
�So what do I do then?�
�Make a move, duh.� Nickolas just looked at him. �I�m going to request a song and you�ll ask her to dance.�
�What song?�
�You�ll know what song.�
�Yeah right.�
�You will so trust me.�
�Trust you? Ha! That�s a laugh.� Aaron made an unamused face. �Now that I think about it, why would I take advice from my 14 year old brother on how to get a girl?�
�Because you have no experience in getting a good girl, like Dakota, and I do.� He smiled. �Need I mention Mandah?�

�I can�t believe I�m going to continue taking advice from you.�
�Well I�m just the one that got MyKenna in just a few hours time after meeting her.�

�Yeah right.� Nickolas lowered his head. �Why don�t you go dance?�
�My girlfriend�s with DJ in the bathroom.�
�Girlfriend, huh?� Aaron nodded. �And how long do you think that�ll last since you two live on different sides of the globe?�
�For a while, I just know it.�
�You�re 14 not 24.�

�You�re still young.�

�You better start looking for the future missus.� Nickolas rolled his eyes. �I�m serious, because I think mom will want a few grandkids by the time she�s 60. You�re old enough to start donating your sperm to a woman.�
�And you�re old enough for me to kick your ass.� Aaron just looked at him. �BJ�s old enough also.�
�I don�t think mom wants her 20 year old daughter to come home and say she�s got a bun in the oven.� Nickolas gave him a weird look. �I actually think she�s waiting for you to give her one. Perhaps DJ is the girl. Perhaps she�s the future Mrs. Nickolas Gene Carter.� He smiled and Nickolas shook his head. �MyKenna just might be the future Mrs. Aaron Charles Carter.� He continued smiling and Nickolas just gave him the weirdest look ever.

�Deej, for the last time,� MyKenna began, �what�s wrong?� Dakota sat in the bathroom stall, as MyKenna stood outside of it talking to her. �What happened?�
�Nothing that doesn�t upset me,� Dakota said.
�What is it? What�d Nick say to you?�
�Nothing.� MyKenna heard her sniffle. �It�s all fine.�
�No it�s not.� The bathroom door opened and a couple girls walked in talking excitedly. �Did Nick do something to you?�
�That�s just it, he didn�t do anything.�
�Will you please open the door?� She waited a couple minutes and the stall door opened and she saw tears in Dakota�s eyes. �Hey, it�s all right.� She hugged her. �Why don�t you go talk to him? I�m sure he�ll understand.�
�Yeah right.�
�You guys will not believe who is out there,� the one brunette girl said to MyKenna and Dakota and they looked at the four girls. �The two hottest brothers in the world�Nick and Aaron Carter.� MyKenna smiled and Dakota just gave a little grin. �They�re out there signing autographs right now so you better hurry up.�
�And ya�ll thought you�d come in here, slap on some makeup, and get a little cleavage showing in the hopes that you�ll get one of them in bed tonight,� Dakota said going back into the stall and slamming the door shut, as the four girls looked at each other dumbfounded and MyKenna just shrugged and held back a smile. �It ain�t going to work so forget it!�
�Kota, will you please come out,� MyKenna said. �Go talk to Nick about whatever it is he did or didn�t do.�
�What difference would it make?� Dakota asked. �He doesn�t want me. He had like 10 feet between us while we were dancing. That proves something to all of us. It�s too bad I didn�t figure it out earlier.�
�He asked you to come with tonight. That has to prove something also.�
�Well what does it prove?�
�That he�s into you.�
�Ha! Then explain the 10 feet.�
�I don�t know what that was all about, only Nick does. What I do know is what Aaron said to me.� Dakota didn�t say anything and the four girls stopped what they were doing and looked. �He said Nick is interested in you and that when he�s around girls he likes he tends to get nervous.� Dakota still didn�t say anything. �I don�t think Aaron would lie about something like that.� MyKenna waited for a response, but got nothing. The whole time that I have known you, all you would ever talk about is getting with Nick Carter and making him the happiest he�s ever been. Now�s your chance to do that and make it come true. Don�t go and ruin it by one stupid dance between you. True love ain�t based on dancing or whatever. You of all people should know that.�
�How would you know? You had Aaron by the time we left the beach.�
�Kota, you loved Nicky since ya saw him. Aaron and I just happened right away by chance. We probably won�t ever last, heaven forbid if that should happen.� The girls looked at each other surprised. �Nick�s out there right now waiting for you and wanting to spend the rest of the night we have with you. I don�t think it�ll really matter what you two do just as long as you do it with each other.� She waited a moment then the bathroom stall opened again and Dakota walked out. �Come on. Let�s get you cleaned up and back out there with Nick. What do ya say?�
�Alright.� Dakota gave a grin and walked over to the sinks with the girls watching them. �I�m sorry about this, Ken. It�s your birthday and you shouldn�t be bothered with my problems.�
�Don�t worry about it. What are friends for anyway?� She smiled and Dakota splashed cold water on her face. �I�m here for ya and you know that.� She handed Dakota paper towels to dry her face.
�Thanks.� Dakota dried her face and looked at MyKenna. �You�re the best.� They hugged. �So how do I look? I look like shit now don�t I?�
�Not at all. Just take a deep breath and relax.� Dakota did as she was told. �Now come on, because Nicky�s waiting for you.� She smiled and Dakota did the same, as they walked out with the girls watching after them.
�They know Nick and Aaron Carter my ass,� the red headed girl said as the others nodded in agreement, as the door opened again and they looked to see MyKenna and Dakota again.
�Why don�t you girls just forget about the make-up and trying to make yourselves look like Britney Spears,� Dakota suggested. �It ain�t going to score points with Nick and Aaron.�
�Let�s go,� MyKenna said dragging Dakota out the door.
