| Nickolas stood on his back porch watching Dakota, as she sang. He shook his head then sat in the seat beside her. Dakota jumped and looked at him, as he smiled. She turned her CD player off and he just continued looking at her. Youre a jerk ya know that? Dakota stated. I couldve fallen over with a heart attack. But you didnt, Nickolas said giving his cute smile. Luckily. He kissed her. What are you listening? The Calling. She smiled. You didnt recognize the song? He shook his head. Im disappointed. Why? Because I am. Sing it again. No. She made a face. Why not? Because. Please? Nope. Pretty please with, uhumwith me on top? He smiled and she just shook her head holding back a smile. Did you hear what your brother said? Yes I did. I heard he apologized for it. Yeah, I wasnt mad at him. He said. Im glad you didnt take him seriously. Well I know your brothers a bullshitter and I trust you enough to be honest with me about your past or whatever. You already told me you go to strip clubs. She grinned. We both know deep down that we need to know about each others pasts, no matter what it is, if were going to make this relationship work. I am going to be moving in with you after all. And I cant wait. He smiled again and kissed her, as the door opened. Can we go? Aaron asked. Give us a moment, Nickolas said. You had your moment, MyKenna said. I want to do something before the days over. Right, Nickolas said looking at Dakota. Oh I called Howie and he said he can meet with you anytime today. Really? Dakota said. Yeah. I told ya I was going to call him today. You didnt tell him were seeing each other did ya? No, you told me not to so I didnt. Good, because I want to do this on my own. I understand. So lets go, Aaron said. The sooner we go the sooner you two have time alone to do those things you like to do. He smirked and went inside with MyKenna behind him. I think we should go, Dakota said getting up and Nickolas stopped her. Why are you always in a hurry when youre with me? Nickolas asked and Dakota just looked at him. I believe we have all the time in the world. So why rush? She shrugged. You have nothing to worry about with me. I love you. She sighed and gave a grin. Nothing to worry about at all. He hugged her. I still think we should go. MyKenna and Aaron want to do something together and I have to meet with Howie. She left him go and went inside. He left out a sigh and went inside himself. You guys ready? Aaron asked. Yeah, Dakota replied. Whats wrong? MyKenna asked. Nothing, Dakota and Nickolas said smiling. Oh, MyKenna said. I just got the impression something was wrong. Thats just me though. Yeah, Dakota said, as the phone rang. DJ, will you get that for me? Nickolas asked tying his shoes. Sure, Dakota said picking up the phone. Hello? Is Nick there? came a high-pitched squeaky females voice again and Dakota looked at Nickolas. May I ask whose calling? Nickolas looked at her. Tiffany. Dakota glared at Nickolas and held back her tears. Just a moment. She threw the phone at Nickolas. Its your girlfriend, ya bastardTiffany. Nickolas looked at her, as she ran out. They heard the front door shut and Nickolas ran after her. Aaron looked at MyKenna and picked up the phone. Hello? Aaron said. Nick? came the girls voice. No. I want to speak to Nick. Who is this? Tiffany, his girlfriend. His girlfriends name is Dakota. No, cause Im his girlfriend. And Im his best friend. He doesnt know anyone named Tiffany. We were just together Monday night. Youre mistaken; he was with Dakota Monday night. I dont think so. What Nick are you looking for? Nick Carter. Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. Well you got the wrong number. This is the Ventura residence. I dont think so. Well I do. Listen here you little shit Aaron hung up the phone before he heard anymore. People, Aaron said shaking his head. Did she sound familiar? MyKenna asked. No. Nick didnt date anyone with a high-pitched squeaky voiceunless you count Mandah which we wont. Of course not. Put me down! came Dakotas voice from the hallway and they looked, as Nickolas came in with Dakota over his shoulder. Quit being stubborn, Nickolas said. How many times do I need to tell you? I didnt date anyone named Tiffany. Then why the hell is she calling? First you cell and now your home. I dont know. Probably just a fan that got the number somewhere. Maybe she knows somebody that works with the phone place. If she was a fan then why would she tell me that shes your girlfriend? You know how the fans are, DJ, MyKenna said. Theyll do anything to be linked with the BSB. Dakota didnt say anything. Im not lying to you, Nickolas said. I havent yet and I never will. She still didnt say anything. Stay mad all ya want, but I aint letting you go. Nicky, can you put me down? Dakota requested. Im not feeling so good. You cant fool me, Nickolas said. Im not, Dakota said. Im serious. Aaron walked around to look at her. Dude, Nick, Aaron said. She aint looking too good. I just said I wasnt feeling so good, Dakota rebutted and Nickolas put her on the couch. They looked at each other and Nickolas saw how pale she was. Damn, Nickolas said. Yeah, Dakota agreed. Just give me a moment and Ill be fine. Do you need anything? Aaron asked. No, Dakota said. Just a moment is all. They waited in silence a few minutes and then Dakota looked at them. Im good to go now. Ya sure? Nickolas asked concerned. Yep, Dakota assured him. Are ya ready to go then? MyKennas asked and Dakota nodded. With us? She nodded again. Including Nick? She nodded a third time and looked at Nickolas, as she smiled. Great. Good. Excellent. I got an interview with Howie, Dakota said. I think we should go so were not too late. Alright, Nickolas said. Lets go. They grabbed their stuff and went out the door.
