�You kissed my best friend so what does it matter?� Dakota snapped and MyKenna and Aaron just looked at them.
�Well she�s not your sister!�
�And that makes everything alright? We treat each other like sisters and you knew that from the beginning! You still kissed her though and didn�t care!�
�I don�t think it�s all right! I love you, but I made a mistake and I hate myself for it!�
�They fight like they�re married,� MyKenna stated and Aaron nodded.
�I�m glad you hate yourself for kissing MyKenna,� Dakota said. �But do you hate yourself for the way you made me feel? You hurt me and I hope you�re proud of that. Both of you.� She looked at MyKenna, but MyKenna didn�t say anything.
�I ain�t proud of that,� Nickolas said. �Are you proud of yourself for kissing Aaron and hurting me?�
�Yes I am proud!� Dakota stated. �I feel a hell of a lot better about the whole thing since I know now that I can hurt you just as much as you can hurt me!� They just looked at her.
�Maybe you should talk privately,� Aaron suggested.
�No,� Dakota said. �This is over right now. I have nothing more to say.�
She went to walk out and Nickolas stopped her, �So you�re just going to leave it like this? We�re all fucking pissed at each other and you�re just going to walk out? That�s being a real adult, Dakota. Really it is.� Dakota picked a figurine off the stand and threw it at Nickolas. He quickly moved out of the way and it hit the wall. They looked at her, as she walked out of the parlor. �I don�t understand her.�
�I don�t think anyone does,� MyKenna said.
�Why don�t you try talking to her calmly,� Aaron suggested. �You practically yell in her face and that upsets her. She doesn�t need that.� Nickolas looked at his brother.
�How do you know so much?� Nickolas wanted to know and Aaron only looked at him. �How the fuck do you know what DJ needs and doesn�t need?�
�Like I said, Nick,� Aaron began, �try talking to her calmly. She just might talk to you calmly in return.� Nickolas sighed.
�Why am I even talking to you? You kissed my girlfriend.�
�I didn�t kiss anyone�s girlfriend.�
�Then what was that out on the porch?�
�Um, your girlfriend kissing me and me not kissing her in return.� He just looked at him.
�He�s right, Nick,� MyKenna said. �Aaron didn�t kiss DJ in return so you shouldn�t be mad at him. Or mad at DJ for that matter. We caused this so we�re to blame for DJ kissing your brother.� Nickolas looked at her, as Dakota walked back into the parlor. They looked at her, as she walked over to where she threw the figurine. She bent down to pick it up and Nickolas walked over to her.
�Hey,� Nickolas said and she just glanced at him. �Can we talk calmly and like mature adults? I promise I won�t get angry and shit and raise my voice.�
�Why can�t ya just leave this go, Nicky?� Dakota asked. �The more you talk about it the more it�s going to hurt everyone. I for one don�t need it with the condition I�m in.�
�What condition?� She looked at him. �Shorty, what�s going on? Are you sick? Did the doctors diagnose you with something?�
�Nothing that won�t go away in nine months.� Nickolas just looked at her confused and MyKenna just looked at her shocked. She knew what Dakota was talking about and she hoped Dakota didn�t have to spell it out for Nickolas to understand. MyKenna looked at Aaron, as he just stood there not saying or doing anything.
�Did you know?� MyKenna whispered.
�I just found out last night,� Aaron whispered in return. �She made me swear not to say anything to anyone until she told Nick.�
�Now I feel even worse,� MyKenna said continuing to whisper. �And to top it off she hasn�t gotten any rest since you guys came home last night.�
�Nick, don�t make me have to spell it out for you,� Dakota said. �It�s, like, the only thing a doctor can diagnose you with that will go away in nine months.� Dakota just looked at him and by his facial expression she knew he knew.
�Oh,� Nickolas said. �Oh!� They looked at each other. �Oh my God! Are you sure?� She nodded. �Are you positive?� She nodded again. �We�re pregnant?� She nodded a third time. �Wow! Um, that�s��
�Shocking?� Dakota said. �I know.�
�How could this happen?� Nickolas said.
�How the fuck do you think it happened?� MyKenna said and Nickolas and Dakota looked at her. �If you�re going to rip her clothes off every chance ya get something�s bound to happen to make you pay for it.� Aaron chuckled and MyKenna looked at him. �I wasn�t trying to be funny.�
�Sorry,� Aaron said getting serious and trying not to smile.
�How many months?� Nickolas asked.
�Almost three,� Dakota replied.
�What are you going to do?� MyKenna asked and Dakota and Nickolas looked at each other.
�Have it of course,� Nickolas said. �It�s our bond for life.�
�Right,� MyKenna said. �How could you let yourself get pregnant?�
�There was this one time we didn�t use protection,� Dakota said. �And birth control isn�t always 100% affective.� MyKenna nodded and looked at Aaron. She grabbed his arm and led him a little further away from Nickolas and Dakota.
�What?� Aaron asked.
�Maybe I should go to the doctor,� MyKenna whispered.
�Why?�
�There was that time we didn�t use protection.�
�Yeah, but that was how many months ago. Don�t you think you would have the symptoms by now?� She looked at him.
�I guess you have a point. But it�s better to be safe than sorry.�
�True.�
�I�ll just go and see what the doctor says. I have an appointment in a couple days and I�ll get a test done just to make sure.�
�Ok.�
�It could be nothing just like the last time I got tested.� He nodded. �I�ll let ya know what the doc says.�
�Ok.�
�Alright.� She walked away and Aaron grinned and shook his head.
