Dakota, Nickolas, MyKenna, and Aaron were sitting on the beach at Nickolas and Dakota�s watching the sunset. They had just finished supper and were spending some rare time with each other before Nickolas went to Los Angeles, Aaron went to New York, and before MyKenna went back to England.
�This ain�t fair,� Dakota said.
�What ain�t?� MyKenna asked.
�The fact that you guys are leaving and I�m going to be here by myself,� Dakota stated. �What am I going to do?�
�You can always come with me,� Nickolas suggested smiling and she looked at him. �I told ya that the other day.�
�Ain�t ya sick of me yet?� Dakota asked.
�We hardly see each other anymore so of course not,� Nickolas said and he gave her a kiss. �I really want you to come with me to L.A. so we can spend sometime together before you go to Seattle and film that movie with that guy.�
�That guy happens to be Paul Walker,� Dakota said then looked at MyKenna. �And I get to kiss him.�
�Lucky you,� MyKenna said.
�And I ain�t ever going to watch it,� Nickolas said.
�Why not?� the girls asked.
�I will, DJ,� Aaron said.
�Thank you, Aaron,� Dakota said. �Why won�t you watch it, Nick?�
�Because I don�t want to see you kissing other guys,� Nickolas said making a face.
�It�s acting,� MyKenna said. �You watched her last two movies and she kissed a different guy.�
�Uh�that�s different,� Nickolas said.
�How so, Carter?� Dakota wanted to know.
�It just is,� Nickolas said and Dakota rolled her eyes. �Don�t roll your eyes at me either.�
�You�re pathetic,� Dakota said. �It�s just acting so you have nothing to be jealous of, because I come home to you in the end.�
�I ain�t jealous,� Nickolas said and they all laughed.
�We might believe ya, Bro,� Aaron said. �Not.�
�How long has it been, Nicky?� Dakota wanted to know. �How long have we been together?�
�Two years, six months, and 24 days,� Nickolas smirked.
�Alright then,� Dakota said. �Need I say more?� He just looked at her. �No other guy is going to come and take me away from you. I promise ya.� She kissed him. �But I should be worried about another girl coming along and taking you away from me.�
�Well it ain�t going to happen,� Nickolas said.
�Are you still stuck on that dream you had?� MyKenna asked and Dakota looked at her. �It ain�t going to come true.�
�I ain�t going to cheat on ya, Kota,� Nickolas assured her.
�Then why do I keep having it?� Dakota asked. �It�s got to mean something.�
�It means nothing,� MyKenna stated. �Everyone has re-accuring dreams and how often do they come true?� Dakota sighed. �This one isn�t, because Nick loves you and you love him.� Dakota didn�t say anything.
�Babe, nothing is going to happen,� Nickolas said. �I promise. You have my word.� Dakota looked at him. �I love you so much and ain�t going to ruin it between us.� He kissed her and smiled.
�I don�t want to believe it,� Dakota began, �but a part of me does. It won�t let it go.�
�That�s because you�re in love,� MyKenna said. �You�re letting the worst that could happen get the best of you.�
�I ain�t letting anything get the best of me,� Dakota rebutted. �Just because I�m having some stupid dream over and over doesn�t mean I�m letting it get the best of me. I have other things to do besides worry about a damn dream.�
�That�s why you�re obsessing over it?� MyKenna wanted to know.
�I ain�t obsessing over it,� Dakota snapped. �What kind of fool do you think I am?� They looked at her not saying anything. �Thanks a lot.�
�You get paranoid over the stupidest little things, DJ,� MyKenna said. �It�s pointless.�
�And so is us being friends, Ken,� Dakota said.
�Ouch,� Aaron said. �That was harsh.�
�Not that harsh,� Dakota said. �Harsh is when your best friend kisses your boyfriend.� They looked at her. �Oh wait that�s betrayal.�
�Yeah,� MyKenna said.
�I thought you were getting your own place, Deej?� Aaron asked.
�Well�� Dakota began looking at Nickolas.
�I made her an offer she couldn�t refuse,� Nickolas said smiling and Dakota rolled her eyes. �A really good offer.�
�They had sex,� Aaron said.
�And I care because?� MyKenna wanted to know.
�DJ probably already told ya anyway,� Aaron said.
�No,� MyKenna said. �And how the hell do you know?�
�They had a different look to them after New Years last year,� Aaron said. �It doesn�t take a genius to figure it out.� Nickolas and Dakota smiled. �See what I mean?�
�Uh, yeah,� MyKenna said giving him a weird look.
�Aaron, what Kota and I do behind closed doors is none of your business,� Nickolas said.
�Anyway,� Dakota agreed. �You remind me of those damn teenyboppers that think they need to know everything about their fave celeb.� MyKenna laughed.
�Well you are my fave celeb,� Aaron said and Nickolas rolled his eyes.
�I feel so loved,� Dakota said sarcastically.
�I�m saying you got talent and you get all sarcastic right away,� Aaron said. �You�re spending too much time with my brother.�
�Because I love spending time with him,� Dakota said.
�And I love spending time with her,� Nickolas said and Dakota kissed him.
�You guys are pathetic,� MyKenna said.
�No, we�re in love,� Nickolas stated smiling.
�You guys haven�t shared one kiss tonight,� Dakota said. �Is everything cool?�
�Yeah,� Aaron said. �Why wouldn�t it be?�
�I don�t know,� Dakota said. �You don�t seem all lovey dovey like the last time you were together. Are ya sure everything�s cool?�
�Yes,� MyKenna said. �Just because we�re not acting like you two doesn�t mean anything.�
�And how are we acting?� Nickolas asked.
�Like ya want to rip each others clothes off,� Aaron and MyKenna said in unison and they laughed.
�Whatever,� Dakota and Nickolas said grinning.
�Yeah, yeah,� MyKenna said.
�Go home,� Dakota said.
�I am on Saturday,� MyKenna said.
�Good,� Dakota said.
�You�re going to miss me so don�t start,� MyKenna said and Dakota rolled her eyes, as the two guys laughed.
