I cant believe youre marrying Carter, Jacob said, as he sat in the bedroom at the cabin with Jenai. Out of all the guys in this world to marry you chose Carter. Are you mad because Im not marrying you? Jenai asked looking at him and smiling. No Im not mad, Jakob replied. Im marrying Janie in the fall. I just dont want to lose my best friend. Youre not going to, Jenai assured him. Youre stuck with me for life. Thank God. She smiled and sat next to him. Are you nervous? Uhyeah. She laughed. Youll do great. Im probably going to make a horrible wife. Hell I make a horrible sister, daughter, and friend. I know Im going to be a horrible wife. Well despite what you think, I think youre pretty terrific. She smiled. I always did. Even when you were ten when we first met. I thought to myself, this little girl is going to grow up and be a terrific beautiful young lady and make some guy somewhere very happy one day. And by God if that hasnt happened 15 years later. Youre terrific, gorgeous, and making some guy very happy for the next 50 years. Next 80 years. My mistake. He smiled. I watched you grow from a bad ass adolescent to a talented sexy woman. I couldnt be happier for you like I am right now. Thank you, Jake. She hugged him. After 17 years I finally found some place where I belong and that someplace is with Nick. Yes it is. He sighed. You two are going to make each other so very happy and nothings going to ruin that. I hope not. They looked at each other and he said, Justins going to be jealous, but thats his problem. Its his loss and Nicks gain. I loved Justin and a part of me still does, but if we stayed together it wouldnt have lasted. I met Nick and that was it. I never loved anyone like I love Nick. Hes my heart and I She wiped the tears from her eyes and smiled. I love him, Jakob. I know ya do, Sweetie. I see it when you look at him. She just smiled and looked at him. Maybe you should get your dress on. Yeah. And fix that make-up. She nodded. Ill send the girls in to help you. Alright. Jenai got up off the bed, as Jakob walked out, and looked at her dress lying on the bed. A long white Vera Wang made completely of silk with hand sewn diamonds all over it; her dream dress. She had her veil put on a diamond tiara just like she dreamed of as a child. She had all the makings of a fairytale wedding and she felt like a princess. She took a deep breath and took off her robe. She slipped into her dress, as the door opened and she saw her friends from Club Z. Is the bride ready yet? Laken asked. Almost, Jenai said. Can one of you hook me up? Sure, Laken said walking over. So Kevins outside threatening the groom, Nikita said. Oh great, Jenai said. Whats he saying? Nick breaks your heart, Kevin breaks his neck. Nick cheats on you; Kevin will give him a reason not to cheat again. Nick hurts you in anyway, Kevin will bury his body back by this spring, because he highly doubts anyone will miss him, Nikita stated. You can say Nicks pretty much sweating it out there right now. Great, Jenai said. Hes going to cancel the wedding. Nicks going to cancel the wedding. Kevins going to make him cancel the wedding. Calm down, Dannika said. Nicks not going to cancel the wedding. He loves you and nothing Kevin says will change that. I hope not, Jenai replied. Ill be devastated and hate Kevin. Like I told Jakob, I finally found someplace where I belong and I dont want to lose it. Youre not going to, Kendall said and Jenai smiled. Youre all hooked, Laken said. Thank you, Jenai said putting her shoes on. Ok, Kristin said stepping into the room. Do we have something new, blue, old, and borrowed? Oh I got something borrowed, Shay said taking a bracelet from her purse. My mother gave this to me on my wedding day. Its for good luck and I want you to wear it today. She stuck it on Jenais wrist and smiled. Its also old, because its from the Civil War. Thank you, Shay, Jenai said. Its beautiful. Now you cant have a wedding without a garter, Nikita said opening a box. This is blue and from my sisters wedding. She handed the garter to Jenai and she just looked at it. You put it on your thigh. I know where the hell it goes, Niki, Jenai said and they laughed, as she put the garter on. Leave it up to you. She smiled. What about something new? Octavia asked. I got that covered, Kevin said and they looked. You look amazing, Jenai, very beautiful. I dont feel beautiful, Jenai said. Im all nervous. Youre supposed to be, Kevin stated walking over. Its your wedding day. She smiled. That neckline is missing something. I didnt get the pearls on yet, Jenai replied and Kevin shook his head. No pearls, Kevin said opening the jewelry box he was holding and showed her. Kevin, Jenai said looking at the necklace. Turn around, Kevin said taking the necklace from the box. A true princess always wears her diamonds and she can never have too many on. He hooked the necklace and she turned and looked at him. Beautiful. She looked in the mirror at the necklace and smiled. Its beautiful, Kev, Jenai said. Because you make it beautiful, Kevin pointed out. She smiled and he looked at the others. Do you mind if I have a few moments alone with my sister? Not at all, Kristin said. Lets go ladies. She pushed them towards the door and they all walked out. Kevin watched the door close and then looked at Jenai and said, Ive been dreading this day since you came into our lives. It meant Id have to accept the fact that youre no longer my little sister. Ill always be your little sister, Kev, Jenai stated. Just because Im getting married its not going to change that. Youre all grown up now. You turned into a beautiful young woman and I couldnt be prouder than I am right now. Im still going to need my big brothers for when Nick pisses me off and I dont want to deal with him. I gave him his warnings. Of course you did. He smiled. We were always close, Jenai, and I dont want that to change. Its not going to. Did you and Jake get together and agree that Nicks not going to let me see you guys? Hes afraid hes going to lose his best friend. Its not going to happen so you have nothing to worry about. I know that. So dont. Im use to having you around. When I got the job in L.A. you came out every summer and when you turned 18 you moved in with me permanently. I guess what Im saying is that I dont want to see you go. Its time to let go, Kev. I know that too. Ill still be in California so well always see each other. There was a knock on the door and they looked. Its that time, Gerald said. Yeah, Jenai said picking up her veil. Let me, Kevin said taking the veil from Jenai and placing it neatly on her head. Not even a hair out of place. She smiled and they all looked at her. A princess in every way. My little girls all grown up, Ann said. Lets get this show on the road, Gerald said. Are you ready, Honey? Yeah; I think so, Jenai said quickly touching up her make-up. Ok lets do this before I change my mind. She laughed and picked up her bouquet. Lets get married. She smiled and walked over to her parents.
