�Is Kevin here?� the lady asked and Venus just looked at her closely. �Is this a bad time?�
�No, it�s just that Kevin�s not here right now.�
�Alright, um�� She looked at the little boy beside her. �This is Dayton.� Venus looked at the boy.
�Hi.�
�Kevin�s son.� Venus looked back at the lady. �I�m Kristin, his ex-wife.�
�Oh right.� Venus was very unsure. He never mentioned an ex-wife or son before. �I�m Venus, his wife.�
�I know.�
�What can I do for you?�
�I couldn�t find a babysitter and I was hoping Kevin would enjoy his company for a few hours, but since he ain�t here I�ll just go. Come on, Dayton.� She started walking.
�Um, hang on a second.� Kristin stopped and looked. �Dayton can stay. Kevin will be home very shortly and I�m sure he�d love to see his son.� And a very angry wife.
�Are ya sure?�
�Just as long as Dayton promises to help me with his brother and sisters.� She looked at Dayton. �Would you like to meet them, Dayton?�
�Yeah,� Dayton said shyly.
�Great.� She smiled as they heard one of the babies start crying. �Could you excuse me a minute?�
�Sure,� Kristin said and Venus went back inside. �All right, Dayton, you�re going to stay with daddy and his new wife for a couple hours, ok?� Dayton nodded. �Mommy�s going to go to help out at the Florida hospital tonight and I�ll see ya in a few hours. If you want to spend the night with daddy, and if he says it�s all right, just call me.� Dayton nodded again and the door opened. They looked at saw Venus with one of the babies.
�Sorry about that,� Venus apologized. �Little Serena here doesn�t want to nap like her brother and sister.�
�She�s adorable.�
�Thank you.�
�Well I have to go. I�ll pick Dayton up after work. It�ll probably be around ten if that�s alright.�
�Yeah.�
�Thank you.� Venus just grinned. �Give mommy a kiss.� Dayton gave her a kiss. �I�ll see ya in a few hours. Thanks again.�
�No problem.� Kristin left and Venus looked at Dayton. �Come inside, Dayton.� Dayton went inside and Venus closed the door. �When was the last time you see your daddy?�
�Thursday,� Dayton said.
�Do you have a picture of the two of you together?� If this kid really was Kevin�s son she needed the proof.
�Yeah.�
�May I see it?� Dayton nodded and got in his backpack.
�Great.� If this picture could prove they were father and son then she probably wouldn�t need to talk Kevin into a blood test. Dayton handed her a picture and she looked at it. She looked at it and sat on the sofa, trying to get over how much Kevin and Dayton looked alike. �You really are Kevin�s son. Why would he keep this from me?� She looked at Dayton. �When was this taken?�
�Thursday.�
�Should we call daddy and tell him he has a visitor?�
�Yeah.�
�Alright.� Venus laid Serena on the floor. �Could you watch your sister a moment?�
�Yeah.�
�Ok. Give me a minute.� Venus walked over to the phone and picked it up. She dialed Kevin�s cell and it rang three times before it was answered.
�Hello?�
�Baby, it�s me.�
�Hey; I�m on my way home.�
�Good, because we need to talk.�
�I want to talk about last night too.�
�I was hoping we could talk about your son.�
�Kyle? Is something wrong?�
�Kyle�s fine. I was talking about your other son�Dayton.� Kevin didn�t say anything. �He�s here.�

�No, Alex,� Destiny said. �I don�t hate you. I�m just angry at the thought that you even thought of something so stupid.�
�I know it was stupid and I�m sorry.� Alexander apologized again.
�Why can�t you just trust the fact that Nick loves Sunshine?�
�I don�t know.�
�Well ya should.�
�I know I should. I was just being stupid. We should�ve listened to Rok when he told us it would cause problems between everyone, especially Sunn and Nick.� He left out a disgusted sigh.
�Well if it matters any, Sunn and Nick are fine.�
�Seriously?�
�Yes; I went over earlier this afternoon and things were cool. They made up the nineties way.� She smiled. �Brian called Nick and told him the reason it happened then Nick told Sunn.�
�That�s good.�
�Yeah, but I highly doubt she�ll talk to you or Kev or D anytime soon.�
�I don�t blame her. I wouldn�t talk to me either.� Destiny just grinned. �I wouldn�t be surprised if Nick doesn�t talk to me either.�
�It�d be your own stupid fault.�
�I know and I guess I�ll deserve it. At least Sunn and Nick are alright.�
�Yes; she was very upset. Although she knows what exactly happened last night between Nick and that girl, it still hurts her. She saw another woman all over husband. That�d be enough to upset me and hurt me also.�

�Yes you are.�

�That Sunshine�s your fantasy girl.� He just looked at her. �Don�t try to deny it, because Sunn and Nick told me.�

�Just that and that you don�t want to be with her though.�

�I can�t believe you fantasize about her.�

�Grant. We almost had a thing going but he never broke up with his girlfriend.�
�Are they still together?�
�As far as I know, but it�s all right. I don�t want to be with him anymore, because I�m with you and I love you.�
�I love you too.� He smiled and she kissed him. �Does this mean we�re all right?�
�Yeah, but don�t let it happen again.�

�I�m glad we talked about last night,� Howard said picking up his daughter and sitting next to Josephine on the sofa.
�So am I,� Josephine said picking up the extra bottle and giving it to Howard. �We went through a lot and shouldn�t let your stupidness interfere with our love for each other.�
�Yes I was stupid and I�m sorry.�
�Don�t apologize to me. The one ya need to apologize to is living in your condo complex at Cocoa Beach which is like forty-five minutes away.�
�I know, but she won�t see me.�

�After lunch, Kev and I went by to explain, but she slammed the door shut.�

�Just give her a couple days to cool down; she�s hurt and angry and her friends almost ruined her marriage.�
�But are things fine with them?�
�Yes and you�re lucky.�

�Des called and said they made up the old-fashioned way after she realized Nick wasn�t at fault. Brian then called today and explained to Nick what happened exactly.�
�But I still need to apologize.�

�Not a thing.� She leaned over and kissed him.
�I�m glad.� He smiled.
�May babies are getting so big.�
�That they are, but it�s all right.�
�Yes it is.�
�Caroline�s looking like you more everyday.�
�Ya think?� He nodded. �I think she looks like your sister Caroline. I look at the picture you have of her on the mantle and then I look at our daughter and I swear they�re one and the same.�
He looked at his sister�s picture. �She was beautiful.� Josephine looked at him. �But I see you in our little girl. She�s beautiful; just like her mommy.� Josephine smiled. �I�m being serious.�
�I know.� She looked at a sleeping Tyler in her lap. �I guess I should take him upstairs.� She got up and looked at Caroline. �She�s sleeping also.�
�They got that twin thing going on. Alex said Alexander and Paradise do the same thing.� Josephine grinned and started going upstairs as Howard followed.
