Kevin and Venus stood in the kitchen pouring drinks for everyone. When they got sometime for themselves they sat and talked. Venus poured a drink for herself and sat beside Kevin at the table then said, �I still can�t believe Alex and Des got married. I wasn�t expecting that to happen for another couple years. I mean they just got together a couple months ago. Who says it�s going to last?�
�Some people say if you date for a short while and get married,� Kevin began, �those are the marriages that last a lifetime.�
�Hopefully it�s true for Destiny and Alex. I wouldn�t want anything bad to come between them.�
�Well they have a good thing coming. It�s early, but it seems its something they want. I give them my full support.�
�So do I. They�re going to make wonderful parents.�
�Did you ever think about family?�
�At times. Is this a proposal?�
�Of course not. Only for future reference.�
�I understand. I mean you�re going to be 34. You probably didn�t think you�d have to wait this long to be a father.� Kevin looked at her, but didn�t say anything. �I bet you thought you�d have at least one kid right now.�
�Uh�yeah.� He took a deep breath and grinned. �But I can�t get everything all at once.� Venus just smiled and kissed him.
�Sorry to interrupt,� Justin Timberlake apologized. �But have you seen Sunn? She has a call.�
�Actually I haven�t seen her or Nick for awhile,� Kevin stated.
�Did ya try her room?� Venus asked.
�No,� Justin replied.
�Try there,� Venus said and Justin walked from the kitchen. �I wonder where they�re at.�
�I don�t know,� Kevin said. �I haven�t seen them since Alex and Des announced their marriage and pregnancy.�
�And no one realized they disappeared. Des and Alex took the focus off Sunn and Nick��
�And put it on themselves knowing full well this day belonged to them. This party was in the work for weeks.�
�I think they had it all planned out. It�s supposed to be an engagement party�� Kevin chimed in, �not a wedding reception.� They looked at each other and Venus said, �Those heartless jerks. They know how hard Sunn and Nick worked to get to this step in their relationship and they go and ruin it in thirty seconds.�
�Well, there�s nothing we can do about it. It�s up to Nickolas and Sunshine.�
�I feel so bad right now.�
�It�s not your fault, Love. You didn�t know what was going to happen.�
�If I did I would�ve stopped it.�
�Don�t go blaming yourself. You�ll get sick and upset.�
�Perhaps Howie knew what was going to happen,� Brian said interrupting. �So he thought of this masterful plan to continue with his efforts in breaking up Sunn and Nick. He�s still in love with the girl, ya know.�
�But he never said he wanted them split up,� Kevin said. �You weren�t there.�
�But Nick told me everything. Howie split them up before. He could do it again.�
�When did he do it before?� Venus asked then thinking about her question. �Never mind.�
�Did I miss something?� Kevin questioned. �When did Howie do it before?� Venus and Brian looked at each other. �I�m waiting.�
�The very first time Sunn and Nick were together,� Brian replied. �When you were in denial.� Kevin only grinned.
�You mean to tell me that Howie was responsible for that split?� Brian nodded. �Sunn told me the real reason she broke-up with him.�
�And Howie told me. He�s responsible for what happened with Nick and Sunn.�
�What I told you is that Nick came to me wanting to know how to really impress Sunn,� Howard replied interrupting. �So I gave him some romantic ideas. I didn�t do it to cause problems.� Brian, Kevin, and Venus looked at him. �Sunn told me the reason she broke-up with Nicky wasn�t because he was late. I swore to her I wouldn�t give the real reason.�
�Your secrets safe with us,� Venus said.
�But for how long?� Howard wondered. �I�m not saying anything to anyone. Not even my Priest.�
�You don�t need to,� Kevin said. �We don�t need to know.�
�Did you see Sunn and Nick by chance?� Brian asked.
�I saw them walk to Sunn�s room,� Howard replied. �And they seemed upset; well Sunn anyway.� They all looked at each other. �Is it me or did Alex and Des put all the attention on themselves when they came.�
�We�ve noticed,� Venus agreed. �What should we do though?� They all sat there thinking.

�Some engagement party,� Sunshine said sitting on the bed beside Nickolas. �No one even knows we�re missing�besides Justin. I don�t expect for all the attention to be focused on me�well us, but this party was for us.�
�I know how you�re feeling,� Nickolas said rubbing her shoulders.
�Alex and Destiny just waltz on in and take it all away.�
�Can we talk about something else? Or even better, do something else?�
�What if it�s a sign, Nicky? What if we�re not supposed to get married?�
�That�s only superstition, Sweets. Nothing�s going to happen and we�ll get married. I promise.�
�Easy for you to say, you�re not a woman. Women worry about things like these.�
�Well you don�t have to. Everything�s fine.� He continued rubbing her shoulders.
�That feels good; don�t stop.�
He kissed her neck lightly. �How does that feel?
�Even better.�
�And this?� He continued placing light kisses on her neck and took his hands over her body.
�Much�much�much better.� She moaned silently and Nickolas smiled.
�Does it turn you on?�
�Your touch does.� He stopped and got off the bed. Sunshine grabbed his arm and pulled him onto the bed. �Don�t even think about leaving.�
�Why not?� Sunshine just smiled and then kissed him. �May I go to the bathroom?�
�Mmm�no.� She sat on him. �Not yet. Besides, I can help fix your problem.� She smiled seductively and kissed him, as she undid his pants. She pushed his shirt up and started kissing his chest and he smiled.
�Sweets, I really have to go though.� She looked at him a second then continued with what she was doing. Nickolas grinned and laid his head back on the bed and left Sunshine continue with her seduction as his hormones started to slowly take over. �Sunnie, maybe you should let me go�whoa!� He felt Sunshine�s tongue on him. �Or not.� Sunshine took him in his mouth and his pleasure rushed through him and he forgot about having to go to the bathroom. She always knew how to get his mind preoccupied whether it be sexual or not. He didn�t mind though. Being with Sunshine made his life complete. Worth living. He never knew such passion. He never knew such love. �Mmm�Sweets.�
�Did ya like that?� She smiled and kissed him, as he looked at her.
�Oh, yeah.�
�I�m glad.� He flipped her onto her back and she just looked at him. �Now it�s your turn.�
�You don�t have to.�
�Well it�s only fair since you pleasured me.� He kissed her. �I�d feel bad.� He kissed her again. �Really bad.� He kissed her a third time.

�One step at a time, Sweets. No need to rush these things.� She smiled and he kissed her a third time, as he started undoing her shorts and there was a knock at the door. �Son of a bitch.�
�They�ll go away.�
�I highly doubt it.� He got off Sunshine and got up off the bed. �Just answer it. I�ll be in the bathroom. I still have to go.�
Sunshine sighed disgustedly and watched Nickolas go into the bathroom. She redid her shorts and got up off the bed. She waited a moment then slowly and disappointedly walked to the door and opened it to Bradley. �Hey, B.�
�Hey, Sunn,� Bradley said. �I�m heading out. I have to pick up mom at the airport.�
�Alright,� Sunshine said, as Nickolas walked from the bathroom and stood there.
�Are you ok? You haven�t come out since Alex and Des came. It�s your engagement party; you and Nick are supposed to be having fun.�
�It�s perfectly clear it�s Alex and Destiny�s party now. Only you and Justin realized we were missing. No one can change what�s done.�
�I�ll throw you guys another one, but I better go.�
�Ok.� She gave him a hug. �See ya tomorrow.�
�Yeah, bye.�
Sunshine stood there, as Bradley went out and closed the door. She turned around and smiled when she saw Nickolas. She walked over to him, put her arms around him, and gave him a kiss. He didn�t kiss her in return or put his arms around her. He kept his hands in his pockets and Sunshine asked concerned, �What�s wrong?�
�Nothing,� Nickolas lied. �Why?�
�You didn�t kiss me. You always kiss me. You don�t even have your arms around me. Something�s wrong. What is it?�
�Nothing.�
�Why are you lying to me?�
�Nothing�s wrong, Sunn.� He walked away from her.
�You never called me �Sunn� before. Something�s definitely wrong.�
�Just because I didn�t call you �Sunnie� doesn�t mean something�s wrong with me.�
�Ooh, you make me so mad.�
�Then maybe we shouldn�t get married.�
�What?� They looked at each other. �I love you, Nicky. I ain�t going to let my anger get in the way of how I feel about you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.� Nickolas just looked at her and stayed silent. �Why�d you suggest that anyway?�
�I don�t know.� Sunshine could tell he was lying and became more frustrated. �I have to go. I�ll see ya.� Nickolas just walked by her and didn�t even give her a kiss. Sunshine stood there a second dumbfounded, as Nickolas opened the door.
�Nicky,� Sunshine said, as he went out the door. Sunshine went after him and followed him to the elevator. As he got on she asked, �Nick, where are you going?� Nickolas just ignored her, as the doors closed. �Damn it.� She stood there not knowing what to do. After five minutes, she went back inside and wondered what she did this time.
