One thing she remembered completely is what happened with Nickolas the night before. How he came back and broke her heart into a million pieces. To her if felt like it just happened on second ago. A part if her felt like it was just a bad dream until she looked at her hand and didn�t see the ring. She began crying and wondered why. She loved Nickolas and he knew that. That�s why she didn�t want to believe it.
Maybe it was just an overnight thing. Nickolas would come back today and admit his mistake. Who was she kidding though? Herself, that�s who. Nickolas was very serious about it. But why? Why would he decide this after all they�ve been through? They went through so much before they got together. It all made her cry more.
If he didn�t want to be with her, he should have never asked her to marry him. He admitted he loved her and wanted to be with her. But what changed? She didn�t understand. It was all too confusing. She didn�t know what to believe anymore? Did Nickolas love her? Or didn�t he? What was the truth?
After ten minutes of thinking about it, she wiped her eyes and sat up. That�s when she noticed the wine bottle still laying beside her on the bed and she stared at it. No wonder she had a horrible headache. But it wasn�t just a horrible headache; it was part of her hangover. She slowly got off the bed and walked to the bathroom.
What was her life coming to? She had no clue. She waited her whole life to get all the good things in her life, especially Nickolas, but in one second the big part of her life, Nickolas, was gone. But why did it have to be Nickolas? Without Nickolas she had no reason to love or live anymore.
She walked from the bathroom into her bedroom. She just stood there a moment and then left the room. She stepped into the parlor and noticed the mess. She wondered how it had happened and saw Bradley cleaning up.
She watched him a moment then said, �Brad.�
He looked. �Well, good afternoon sleepy head,� Bradley said. �How�d you sleep?�
�Alright I guess. What happened here?�
�Hurricane Sunshine.�
�I did this?�
�Bradley nodded. �According to Howie.�
�I don�t remember. The last thing I remember is sitting out on the balcony and bits and pieces in between.�
�Do you remember the wine?�
�After I saw the one laying beside me.�
�Howie said you were pretty drunk last night, because you were sitting out on the banister.�
�Oh man. Where�s Jo?� Bradley stopped what he was doing and put down the garbage bag he was holding. He walked over to her and they just looked at each other. �What? Where�s Jo?�
�Let�s sit.�
�I don�t want to sit!� She put her hand on her forehead, as the pain increased and closed her eyes. �I just want to know where Jo is.�
�Then there�s a lot you don�t remember about last night.�
�What don�t I remember? Did I hurt Jo?�
�Not physically. Please sit down.�
�No! What happened? What�d I do?�
�I�m going to tell you what Howie told me.� Sunshine nodded and Bradley told her all that Howard had told him. From how she kept calling Nickolas a prick to Howard still being in love with Sunshine. When he was done they just sat there for awhile in silence.
�OH shit.�
�You thought Howie told her.� Sunshine just looked at him and took a deep breath. �When Jo said he didn�t tell her you didn�t care and just continued talking. You even mentioned how he realized his love for you back in Paris and how he kissed you.�
She sat on the couch and said, �I�m sorry. I didn�t mean to cause anybody problems.�
�According to D, Jo already knew before you said anything.�
�How?�
�She over heard you and D talking yesterday.�
�Could I feel any worse?� She leaned back and covered her eyes. �Did I say anything else?�
Bradley sat beside her and said, �You called Howie the world�s biggest puss, because he didn�t tell Jo the truth and you also told Jo that�� He took a deep breath.
�What�d I say?�
�You told her that you and Howie had sex.�
�I was drunk wasn�t I?�
�Very.�
�What�d she do?�
�Slapped you across the face and called you a bitch. You even told her D only wanted her for sex.�
�Oh fuck. Why would I even say anything like that, because I know it�s not true? I would never sleep with Howie.�
�You were drunk and if I remember correctly what Howie said, I believe your exact words were, �if I can�t be happy neither can anybody else�. You were upset over Nick.�
�I still am. He never gave me a reason why.� Her eyes filled up with tears. �But I�m sorry about what happened with Jo and Howie. They have to know I wouldn�t do it deliberately.�
�I know that, but Howie�s mad at you and I don�t think he realized you weren�t yourself and it was Nick�s fault.�
�I hate him right now.� She leaned forward. �But I love him at the same time.�
�Of course you do.� He put his arm around her.
�What am I going to do, Brad? How am I going to change his mind?� Bradley didn�t say anything, as Sunshine continued crying. �After Nick left last night, I told myself I wasn�t going to cry again. But look at me.� She got up and started walking around. �He told me he loves me very much and didn�t want to hurt me, but he did anyway. You see what he does to me? He makes me crazy.�
�Crazy for him. Make it up to him and get him to change his mind.� He got up and walked over to her.
�How can I when I don�t even know what I�ve done to make him call off the wedding. He never gave me a real reason. He just said its how he�s feeling and that�s a lie. His heart was in it as much as mine was�is.�
�I�m sorry, Sunn.� He hugged her. �I really am.� She started crying more. �You just go ahead and cry. Don�t leave it inside, just let it out.�
Sunshine cried for at least five minutes straight. Bradley just held her in his arms not knowing what to do or what to say. He kept telling her everything was going to be all right to calm her down, but she just cried more. Bradley wanted to kick Nickolas� ass for hurting Sunshine, but he knew it would upset Sunshine more. So he just comforted her and calmed her down.
When she stopped crying, they stood there hugging and Sunshine said, �Why are you here with me? You should be hanging with Sunny instead.�
�She wants her space right now.�
�I�m sorry.�
�Don�t worry about me. Worry about getting Nickolas back.�
�Then you worry about getting Sunny back.�
�If she wants me back.� They continued hugging. �Why don�t you go shower and I�ll finish cleaning up here and make us some lunch.�
�I don�t think I can eat anything. I�m too upset.
�Then just go shower and you can decide afterwards.� She looked at him. �Alright?� She just shrugged. �A shower will do you good and get rid of that wine smell on you.� He chuckled, but she just gave a weak smile. �Go take a nice warm relaxing bath for as long as ya want and I�ll take care of everything here.� She sighed and nodded, as Bradley pushed her towards the hall. �Take as long as ya want, Baby Doll.� He stood there and watched, as she went back to her room.
