Venus stood outside Alexander�s house, at the front door thinking. She was up all night thinking about her and Alexander�s relationship and where it was headed. She really wasn�t sure where it was headed anymore. It was great what they had and shared, but she didn�t want it anymore. Her conclusion wasn�t a great one, but deep down she knew it was the right thing to do. She took a deep breath and knocked on the door. She waited a moment before Alexander opened.
�V, hey baby.� He gave her a kiss, but she didn�t kiss him in return. �What�s the matter?� He left her in and they walked to the parlor. �It looks like you have a lot on your mind.�
�I do.� She sat down and Alexander did the same, while looking at her. �Alex, I did a lot of thinking last night about our relationship. I�m not going to beat around the bush so I�m just going to get to the point. Being with you was great and fun, but I think we shouldn�t see each other anymore.� Alexander just looked at her not saying a word. He didn�t know what to say. �I was lying when I said I was in love with you. I thought I was, but I wasn�t and I realize that now. Josephine was right when she said we just thought we were in love, because that�s what we thought. I do love you, but not in the same way that Nick loves Sunn.�
�So you want to break-up?� Venus nodded. �I think I understand, but you should know that I was beginning to fall in love with you.�
�No you weren�t, Alex. I think you were making yourself fall in love with me, because you think there�s no one else out there for you.�
�There isn�t.�
�Trust me, Alex, there is. There�s a girl out there that will love you more than I ever could. She could be right under your nose, but you just have to let her in and have that chance to win your love.�
�But I want to be with you.�
�You just think you do.�
�No I do.�
�Alex, please don�t do this. My mind�s made up. I want us to end. It was great while it lasted. Hell, this past year has been the best I�ve ever had.� They looked at each other a moment. �You�ll always have a special place in my heart no matter what.�
�Same here.� She grinned.
�Listen I have to get to work. Will you please think about what I said? Someone better is out there for you and you�ll realize we�re not meant to be.� She stood up. �We�ll talk later, ok?�
�I guess.� She kissed his cheek and then left him to his thoughts.

�So why�d ya break up with Alex?� Destiny asked, as she and the girls had lunch.
�I needed a change,� Venus replied. �What I had with Alex wasn�t what I wanted anymore.�
�So you break his heart,� Danielle said.
�I guess so,� Venus said. �We�re not that compatible anyway.� Destiny grinned at the thought, but made it vanish just as quickly so no one would know.
�It�s for the best I�m sure,� Josephine said.
�Yeah, you and Nick aren�t compatible either,� Danielle said.
�What the hell are you talking about?� Josephine asked.
�You know perfectly well that Nick is in love with Sunnie Jo,� Danielle reminded her. �Your best friend or did you forget that when you asked him out?�
�I didn�t forget anything,� Josephine said.
�Or maybe you just want what Sunshine has,� Danielle stated. �So why not take the man she�s in love with since ya can�t have her career.�
�You don�t know what you�re talking about,� Josephine said.
�Yes I do,� Danielle said. �Where is Nickolas now?�
�In L.A. on business,� Josephine answered.
�And where�s Sunshine?� Destiny questioned catching on to what Danielle was getting at.
�In L.A.,� Josephine replied and they all looked at her.
�Nick doesn�t want to be with you, Josephine,� Danielle stated. �He wants to be with Sunn and I wouldn�t be surprised if he�s with her right now.�
�He left last night and she was busy all day,� Josephine pointed out.
�Yeah�right,� Danielle and Destiny said simultaneously and Josephine looked at them.
�I volunteered to go with, but he was going to be busy and we weren�t going to get anytime together,� Josephine stated. �Then I suggested I go out and hang with Sunn, but he reminded me of her busy schedule.� Danielle just shook her head at her cousin and went back to eating. �What�s the big deal anyway? I�m Nick�s girlfriend and not Sunn. She had her chance and she didn�t want him. It�s her loss and my gain.�
�I guess you�re smart enough to the point where you�re stupid,� Danielle said. �Especially when it comes to Nick and Sunn.�
�What are you getting at?� Josephine questioned. �Are you trying to tell me that Nick and Sunn are screwing around behind my back?� Danielle just looked at her. �They would never do that to me.�
�How do you?� Destiny asked.
�Sunnie Jo is pissed at you,� Danielle stated. �Because you�re going out with Nick. You know how she feels about him, but you�re so desperately trying to ruin that friendship you have. You went out with Nick and made Sunn pissed at you.�
�She�s not pissed at me,� Josephine said rolling her eyes. �Nick�s with me so that means he actually loves me and wants to be with me and not Sunn.�
�I can�t believe how much in denial you are,� Danielle said. �If that�s what you want to believe then be my guest. When it ends between you and Nick and he gets back with Sunn and you�re heartbroken just remember I told you so. Don�t even think about come crying to me, because I warned you. Go to Matthew and see if big brother will kick his ass for ya. I highly doubt he will, because he never did before. Plus, he also knows how Sunshine and Nickolas feel about each other remember?� Josephine just looked at her cousin.
�Mac, Max, and Jackson will,� Destiny said.
�So will Adam,� Venus added and they laughed.
�Nick�s not going to break my heart,� Josephine stated. �I know he won�t.� Danielle shook her head yet again and said nothing more on the subject.
�So we�re still taking our vacations at the same time right?� Venus questioned.
�Yeah,� Destiny said. �Then we can all go someplace cool together.�
�And have lots of fun,� Danielle added.
�Actually I was thinking about going with Nick,� Josephine said.
�Why do you want to do that?� Destiny asked. �You�re always with him. This vacation is supposed to be for us ladies. Guys not included.�
�I�ve wanted to get away with him,� Josephine said. �So vacation time sounds good.�
�Josephine, we�re going on this vacation together whether you like it or not,� Destiny ordered. �Guys not included and I mean that.�
�Whatever,� Josephine said.
�Plus we have to see when Sunshine has free time,� Danielle said.
�Right,� the girls said.
�We can�t have girl time without her, guys,� Danielle said. �It wouldn�t be fair considering the way we�ve been acting towards her lately.�
�I know,� Destiny said.
�It�s not fair,� Venus said. �After all it was her vehicle that got us around the country.�
�Exactly,� Danielle said.
�And got me with Nick,� Josephine said.
�Drop it already,� Danielle warned. �Or I�ll kick your ass.�
�Whatever,� Josephine said. �You�re just jealous you�re not with someone as sweet as Nick is.�
�I�m with Kevin, bozo,� Danielle reminded her. �He�s just as sweet if not sweeter.�
�Will you too stop,� Venus requested. �You�re cousins for the love of God; practically sisters.�
�And sister�s bicker,� Destiny said. �You have two sisters.�
�We don�t bicker like that,� Venus said and they all laughed.
�So you�re not at all upset that you broke up with Alex?� Destiny asked.
�Not really, no,� Venus said. �I mean I am upset to a point, but its life and it was my decision so I�m not going to let it run my life.�
�That�s cool then,� Destiny said trying to hide her excitement over the possibility of finally getting with Alexander after all this time.
�So let�s finish up here, because I soon have to get back to work,� Josephine said.
�Yeah, yeah,� Destiny said and they all laughed.
