�Did we check everywhere?� Kevin wanted to double check.
�Yeah, I think so,� Brian said and Nickolas walked away.
�Where the hell could she be?� Alexander asked. �We checked everywhere; the malls, hospitals, airports, the beaches, Brad�s, Justin and Britney�s, the parks�she�s no where to be found.�
�Howie, you�re very quiet,� Josephine pointed out. �What�s up?�
�I can�t help, but think that it�s my fault we can�t find Sunn,� Howard replied. �What if we never find her?�
�It�s nobody�s fault,� Kevin said. �And we will find her�even if she comes back to us.�
�Hey guys,� Danielle said approaching them and holding a white envelope. �I stopped by the condo again.�
�Was she there?� Howard asked.
�No,� Danielle said. �But she was there, because I found this.� She held up the envelope and Kevin took it. �It was taped to the door. We�re not going to find her, because she�s gone and I have a feeling she won�t be coming back�at least not for awhile.� They stood there for another five minutes in silence before Nickolas rejoined them.
�Did you find her?� Alexander asked.
�Do you see her?� Nickolas retorted. �No I didn�t.� He shook his head and looked in his hand. �I found her bracelet though.� They looked at the gold I.D. bracelet that had Nicky ?�z Sunnie on it.
�Are you sure it�s hers?� Venus asked.
�How many other Nick and Sunnie�s do ya know that come here?� Nickolas questioned. �I was with her when she got it made.�
�Sorry I asked,� Venus said.
�She says in this letter not to worry about her,� Kevin began, �because she�ll be fine and she just needs time to herself. She also says that she�ll be back in a few.�
�In a few what?� Josephine questioned. �Days? Weeks? Months? Years? What? I want to know.�
�It doesn�t say,� Kevin said, as Josephine grabbed the letter from him.
�She didn�t even leave us a clue of where she was going,� Josephine said. �My best friend left without me. I have no reason to go on.� She dropped the letter and started walking down to the beach.
�Whoa, Josephine,� Kevin said grabbing her and holding her back. �Now is not the time to think about suicide. You�re staying at my place tonight, because I don�t trust you.�
�Keep both eyes on her,� Danielle said. �Don�t let her do anything crazy. Let�s go, V, we�ll re-look.�
�I�m coming with,� Destiny said giving Nickolas a kiss, but he wasn�t paying attention, and she followed the two girls.
�I�m going to take Josephine back to my place and put her to bed to rest,� Kevin said. �I�ll call ya guys later.� He kept a hold of Josephine and led her to his car.
�I�ll drive around and try to find her,� Alexander said. �I�ll let ya know if I find anything.�
�Maybe she�ll go back to the condo,� Howard said. �I�ll stop by and see.�
Howard and Alexander walked to their cars, got in and drove off, as Brian said, �I know how she likes to eat when she�s upset so I�ll check some of the 24 hour deli�s and stuff. Are you all right, Nick?�
�I�ll be fine,� Nickolas said. �I just think it�s my fault she left. We�ve been so rude to each other lately and she came to make up and I pushed her away. She needed me tonight, Brian, and I tell her no. Some birthday this turned out to be. I was a prick to Sunnie.� He sighed. �Ugh!�
�What happened tonight?�
�I told ya, I pushed her away when she needed me.�
�Don�t blame yourself, Nick. I�m sure Howie and Jo and Des are as much to blame.�
�Is that supposed to make me feel better?�
�Not really, but I�m just saying.�
�Yeah.� He sighed again. �I�m going to go walk the beach. Sunnie loved walking it�with me. Maybe I�ll get lucky and stumble upon her.�
�She�ll be back, Bro.�
�I guess you can leave the one ya love, but you�ll never stop loving the one you love.� Nickolas held the bracelet in his hand and looked at it. �Hopefully it�s the same with Sunnie.�
�I�m going to go look for her. You�ll be the first I call if I find her.�
�Thanks man. I�ll see ya later.�
�Later.� Nickolas watched Brian leave and then got in his truck and left himself.

Nickolas unlocked the door to Sunshine�s condominium and went inside, hoping she was sitting there. He closed the door and turned on the light. He walked over to the banister and looked before going down to the main part of the condo. He stood there looking around and noticed the curtains were shut. He walked around the rest of the condo and found that all the curtains were shut and the windows were locked. He walked out of the bedroom and went to the balcony door. He just stood there looking out and feeling really bad about the way he treated Sunshine that night.
He pushed her away when she needed him and he hated himself. If he could go back those few hours and change it he definitely would. He was an idiot. What he should�ve done was dumped Destiny and gave Sunshine a reason to come home like she wanted him to. She said she was going away for awhile, but didn�t say where. Maybe if he did it the right way he would know where she was right now. He didn�t though and he didn�t know where she was.
Nickolas closed the curtains and turned off the light before walking back to the bedroom. He laid down on the bed and took out the necklace he was still waiting too give to Sunshine. He looked at it a moment then took out the bracelet. He looked at them both and closed his hand over them then closed his eyes.
