The group sat at lunch on New Year�s Day at a local restaurant. Some had hangovers and the others just laughed at them and shook their heads. No one had any plans that day since it was New Years and no one really cared what they did.
�What�s your New Year�s resolution, guys?� Destiny asked.
�To spend more time with the special girl I really care about,� Nickolas replied smiling at Sunshine and she smiled at him in return.
�To find more time to spend with Des,� Brian said.
�Awe,� Destiny said, as they kissed.
�Get a room,� Sunshine stated and they laughed.
�Mine�s going to be not to make any mistakes in love,� Venus said.
�That�s all you know how to do,� Danielle said.
�Exactly,� Venus said laughing. �This year is going to be different though.�
�Right,� Josephine said.
�Mine�s to spend more time with Brian,� Destiny said giving Brian another kiss.
�Get�a�room,� Sunshine repeated more slowly and clearly and they all laughed again.
�Jealous?� Destiny asked.
�No,� Sunshine replied. �Why would I want to kiss him? I don�t want to.�
�Thank God,� Brian smirked and Sunshine glared at him and shook her head.
�What about you, Alex?� Destiny asked. �What�s your resolution?�
�Not to get any more tattoos,� Alexander said.
�That�ll be broken by tomorrow,� Nickolas said and they all laughed.
�I�m going to try to find that special someone I�ll spend the rest of my life with,� Josephine stated. �Mine�s the same every year.�
�To find everlasting love,� Danielle said.
�Not to eat so much fast food,� Kevin replied. �And to make sure that a girl is interested in me before I even think about pursuing her.� They all smiled.
�Sorry,� Sunshine said.
�My resolution is to show that one special girl how much I care for her,� Howard said giving Sunshine a smile, as she looked at him oddly and then at Nickolas who just shrugged.
�How about you, Sunnie Jo?� Alexander asked. �What�s your resolution?�
�I don�t make resolutions,� Sunshine replied.
�Why not?� Brian asked.
�They never work,� Sunshine said. �They might last a month, but never a whole year or whatever. They�re so stupid.�
�Did she get a broken heart?� Brian asked.
�Something like that,� Danielle replied and they looked at Sunshine, as she looked at her plate of food. �A couple years ago she made a resolution to spend more time with her great-gram. They spent everyday together and at the end of that first month she died. Sunn vowed never to make resolutions again.�
�That�s horrible,� Kevin said.
�I haven�t made one since and I�m never going to,� Sunshine stated. �So don�t ask me again.�
�Maybe someone will be lucky enough to change your mind,� Howard replied flashing his sexy smile and Venus stomped on his foot. �Ow!� They all looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
�I think Howie wants to be the one to change your mind,� Alexander smirked.
�Well he�s not going to,� Sunshine said and looking at Nickolas and grinning.
�By the way she�s smiling,� Danielle began, �I think Sunn has someone else in mind. Who is it?�
�None of your business,� Sunshine said. �I ain�t going to tell you and no one will change my mind�ever.�
�Why not?� Danielle asked.
�Because it�s my little secret,� Sunshine replied. �When I�m ready to tell ya I�ll let ya know.�
�Why can�t we know now?� Venus asked.
�Because,� Sunshine said. �So shut up and leave me alone.�
�You�re really feisty today,� Kevin said.
�And you�re really funny,� Sunshine said getting up. �If you�ll excuse me, I need to pee.�
Sunshine left, as Nickolas and Howard both watched her walk away. Danielle leaned over to Nickolas and said, �Go ask her now. I�m sure she�ll say yes.�
�Ok, I�m going,� Nickolas said. �Be patient.� He got up and left the table, as everyone watched him in wonder.
�Where is he going?� Destiny questioned.
�To the restroom,� Danielle said without even thinking.
�Anyway,� Josephine said. �What are we going to do for the rest of the day?�
�I�m spending it with you,� Alexander said giving her a kiss, as a couple of fans approached. �Hello.�
�May we have your autographs?� all the girls asked in unison.
�Sure,� Kevin said.
�Where�s Nick?� one of the blondes asked.
�He had a personal matter to attend,� Brian said.
�Does he have a girlfriend?� the same girl asked.
�Sort of,� Danielle said.
�You�re lucky,� the girl said.
�No, no, it�s not me,� Danielle quickly said.
�Sorry,� the girl apologized.
�Sorry to have bothered you,� another girl said.
�That�s alright,� Howard said. �If you come back in about five minutes Nick should be back.�
�Alright,� the girls said then they walked away.
�That was fun,� Destiny said. �Sitting here watching you guys flirt.�
�I wasn�t flirting,� Brian said.
�Whatever,� Destiny said.
�Howie, may I talk to you in private please,� Venus said, as she grabbed his arm and they both walked away. �What do you think you�re doing?�
�What are you talking about?� Howard asked in return.
�The girl,� Venus replied. �The fan, the same one who asked about Nick. What exactly are you trying to do?�
�Those girls want to meet Nicky,� Howard answered. �I�m doing them a favor.�
�I think the real answer you�re looking for is somewhere on the lines of you�re trying to get Sunshine for yourself,� Venus stated. �Am I right?� Howard just looked at her. �Howie, you need to give up this obsession of you and Sunn being together. You must realize that she wants Nick and she�s so close to getting him. I say by the end of today she�ll have him and he�ll have her.�
�Hello you two,� Sunshine said, as her and Nickolas approached them. �Did you know PDA�s in public places are illegal?�
�Really?� Venus said.
�Oh, I don�t know,� Sunshine said. �But do you know Nick�s a great kisser?� Venus and Howard just looked at them. �Of course not. You never kissed him before. My bad.�
�Sunnie, let�s go back to the table before you hurt yourself,� Nickolas said pulling her along.
�Do you see what I mean now?� Venus questioned.
�Kind of,� Howard said.
�I�m hoping you�re giving up your little obsession ya have,� Venus said, as they walked back to the table.
