Amy Biehl Person Of Faith
Amy
Biehl was a young woman who had a tremendous amount
of faith. Unfortunately this faith was also the reason for her untimely death.
On Aug. 25, 1993, when she was just 26 years old, she was murdered by a fanatic
group of rights activists in South
Africa. Amy was studying at the University of The Western Cape. She was very active in
the anti-apartheid movement. She was a very strong supporter of racially
equality in South Africa.
She showed her faith, in many ways throughout her life. Her most prominent
showing of faith was her dedication to the equal rights of all people. Her
faith is still lived out today. Her parents are very active in human rights organizations.
Her parents were able to reconcile with her killers and supported their release
from prison. Amy Bieh was a great example of faith to
me. She believed in what she was doing, and was dedicated to it to the point of
her death.
