Introduction To Uncle Rick's Shop

Welcome to Uncle Rick's Body Shop. This website has been created for you, our valued customers, in order to get an idea about the quality of the work going on at the shop. We have included various information about the shop, and have even included a web form to book apointments with us. During the design of this webpage I was looking to create something that anyone could navigate regardless of their computer knowledge, and because of that the webpage consists of four main tabs that should provide anyone who visits the information they will need to know when deciding whether or not to use our services. I implemented some java-script in order to keep the site down to one main html page which again simplifies the website's design.

Why This Layout?

For this website I wanted to keep the design similar through the different pages in order to have design continuity. If I'm going to be completely honest I would have preferred using a background image to background colors, but I was unable have the background image work so instead I decided to go with a soft blue for the background. I made the corresponding subheadings the same color as the background, and the main title was made red. I stayed towards colors that are often associated with cars. For font type I stuck with the traditional arial font as it is easy to read. I chose the tab layout over the multi page layout as it made it easier for the user to navigate all of the included content.

Future Improvements

Moving Forward with the website I would like to create a customized logo to include as the header. I would also like to integrate a background image rather than the background color. Long term website goals would be to add an online shopping option for small parts and accessories.
