feeling the reccession...
I'm starting to feel the recession too.
After today I done applied to all of the ambulance companies that I know of in el paso. In order to strench my funds as long as possible if I don't start working by the end of the month I'm not going to be riding my bike anymore. Which means that I'll let the insurance and the regisration expire and renew it when I start working again. So when I go do my army national guard drill this weekend, I'm going to tell them that somebody is going to have to pick me up for drills the following month. Much to my dismay my drill site is on the northeast side of el paso. I could get a bus(buses) there but there's no way I'll never make it on time, and if I take a cab I might as well work for the national guard for free because all of my drill pay will go into the cab fare.
I also cashed my 401K.
Tomorrow I'm also going to apply for food stamps and unemployment.
Together with the rest of my savings, my 401K, and assitance from the food stamps I'll have enough money to last to december. If by May I'm still not working I'll consider going back on active duty. This might be considered pessimisstic but I don't want to wait till the last mintue and I know that transfering from the national guard to active duty is going to take some time.
I really hope I'll start working soon.
