Yesterday I went to the DMV and got the application and booklet for the CDL. So far I had read chapter 1,2,5 and 6. Thank god for my automotive experiance! Otherwise I would of been losted in the sauce. The vehicle inspection list is a little bit mind boggling because there is so many things to check. I have a feeling that most of the written test will mostly be on the vehicle inspection. The rest of the chapters that I have to read are no problem so I'll focus on them last.

I called one of the truck driving schools in the area and the said that their class is 4,100. Since I'm a vetern, I might qualify for tuition assitance. I was given a phone number of who to contact. I left a message so hopefully, that person will get back to me soon. But in the mean time I can at least get the class A learner's permit. That's the most affordble part of this who thing.
