Summer is almost over.....

What is a tigoness to do?

GO TO CHICAGO!

Yep you heard me. Every Summer I usually take a road trip to some where at least 500 miles+ away from home. But since I came back from the Army in feburary I had other priorities and the cost of living and high gas prices hasn't made my life easier. Then I got a job and I had definitely thought, "I'm not leave N.Y. state this summer" (It funny how once you get home you want to leave so BADLY) but then due to a series of unfortuate events (depending on how you look at it) I ended up with a set of Greyhound Bus tickets from a canceled trip, and for a cost of about $10.00, I transfered my old Bus tickets to one going to Chicago. Why Chicago? Because I was there before but for only 5 hours while waiting for my connecting Amtrak train from NYC to Dallas TX a few years ago. I really liked Chicago it seemed like a larger version of Downtown Brooklyn in a weird way, but you can't really go anywhere in 5 hours can you?

So long story short, I going there for a one day trip on sept 10 - 12 depending on my work hours. I'll leave early, get to Chicago early and leave around 11ish(at night) that same day. More than enough time to see the sights, do stuff, and take pictures(without looking like a tourist). A prefect way to end the summer.

Then there is school. I'm going to Laguardia College for the Emergency Medical Basic Course which will start september 19th to December 14th, if all goes well with my pretest selection september 6th and my inprocessing. I used my G.I. Bill ED money to apply I'm keeping my fingers crossed because the V.A. can be SOOOOOO slow sometimes.
