Tarlac State University held their annual Intramurals last September 2007
with the theme "TSU Transformed! Abot natin ang Mundo. As usual the
TSU Gymanasiun was Jam Packed with student who are ready to support
their respective colleges. The cheerleading competition is the highlight of
the opening ceremonies, in which Seven colleges participated. They are the:
1. College of Business and Accountancy Green Tigers
2. Laboratory School Blue Eagles
3. College of Education Golden Dragons
4. College of Nursing Pink Falcons
5. College of Arts and Social Sciences Blue Dolphins
6. College of Engineering Maroon Sharks
7. College of Computer Studies Red Hawks
As expected each colleges came up with a very exciting routine. But to Colleges
dominated the competition, and they are the CBA Tigers who once again
dazzled the crowd with their smooth moves, breath taking stunts and amazing
choreography and the CON Falcons who became one of the best competing
squad.
During the announcement of winners CON Falcons was Champion over CBA TIgers. Due to this, The CBA Tigers appealed to the SSC due to one violation committed by the CON Falcons.
According to the guidelines of the Competition:
" Only Taped Music should be allowed during the Competition"
One of the Representative of the CBA Tigers who was incharge in the music, saw and even took a picture of the CON Falcons C.D. which they use during their performance.
CBA did submit a written complaint to the Student Affairs Office for appeal regarding this violation.
But according to some reliable sources, the CON Falcons and Some other Colleges Violated a Couple of Rules:
1. At least 5 spotter should be provided by each colleges.
- Only CBA and CASS complied to this rule.
2. Only Props related to Cheerleading are allowed.
- According to the Universal Cheerleading Federation and International Cheerleading Federation, only Banners, Pompons, Cheerleading Megaphones and Flags are the ony props allowed in Cheerleadng.
According to the SSC the CBA Tigers are indeed the True Champions of the Competition. But The CON Falcons wrote a letter addressed to the President for reconsideration.
Due to that, the admin decided to give the Title to both Colleges.
Unfortunately the CBA Faculties did not agree with the decision and decided to
accept the First Runner Up Throphy.
CON are indeed the Announce Champions of the Competition, but CBA remains to be the QUALIFIED CHAMPIONS!
