 Installation
--------------

Copy all files into a folder called 'SURVEYS' on your
TI-89 or TI-92 Plus. Type 'surveys\new()' on the home
screen. Press <Y> to confirm or any other key to exit.
You will end up in the Data/Matrix Editor. Press <F1>
and select 'Open...'. Open the data variable 'transit'
in the surveys folder.

To start a new survey again later, you have to do the
same procedure again, but the variable will be loaded
automatically.

 Using the Spreadsheet
-----------------------

If you are doing a transit survey, you probably know
about '+' and '-' sights. This works only with transits
that are always level. Put your collected data in the
appropriate columns. You can also measure the upper and
lower stadia hair for distance measurement and accuracy
checking.

NOTE: Deleting the top element of a row causes an
error. In that case, press <Green>+<|>, turn Auto-
Calculation off, enter something in that cell, and turn
it back on.

For each step, the distance is calculated if you put
something into the stadia columns. If you have both
'+' and '-' sights, the difference in elevation is also
calculated. For accuracy checking, check the 'Error+'
and 'Error-' columns.

When you are finished with your survey, scroll to the
right to see the 'Totals' column and the one to the
right of it. You will see the total of the '+' and '-'
columns, the total difference in elevation, and the
total distance (if you used stadia hair).

To get back to the spreadsheet from the Home Screen,
press <Apps> <6> <1>.
