The anime is about Yoh Asakura, a shaman that would like to become a Shaman King. 　In order to do that, he has to get a strong spirit and meet the Great Spirit in order for his dream to come true which is to have a simple life.　 In his journey, he meets a lot of people, friends and also rival shamen that also want to become a Shaman King.
