Unit 1 in Information and Creative Technology is all about the world wide web. we have had to learn about many threats to our everyday lives on the internet such as hackers and data loss. This unit has made me look at the internet in a whole new way. We have also learnt about other parts of our everyday lives such as data transmission, where we learn how our data can be transmitted through the air via radio waves and micro waves. i also learnt different ways of transmitting data through wires, from unshielded twisted pairs all the way up to Fibre Optic.
