Work has been a bit unsettling. Hospital stays or shorter now and that is eating into the revenue. That meant layoffs. While they missed me this round, they took my backup and conspirator away. So no what? A new system is in the pipeline and I am the goto guy for integrating hospital billing systems. I have always been an anomoly, a bridge between the techno infrastructure and the application framework. I am engineering for operations, designing utilities , procedures and methods. I'm thinking I ought to be able to translate the skills and ideas I've developed into a marketable consulting business.  It may be time to move on instead of clinging on.
