This is my Car Tech page and it will explain some of the work I've done with my car

The Engine:

Many people wonder whether or not they should defeat the factory computer and emmissions equipment. My response to this is it depends on where the car will be driven. If you want to rip everything out because you think you can't build a fast emmissions legal car your wrong. My car is not emmissions legal and I'll make a short list of the things commonly needed when removing the Ecm and emmissions equipment.

Tires & Wheels:

The tires are 295/50/15s out back and 215/65/15s up front. The rims are American Racing AR23s, 15x7 front and 15x8 out back. There were no modifications to the suspension to accept these tires. These are as big as you can get in the back without rubbing.

Heres some better tire pictures. Everyone has been asking me about the backspacing of the wheels to fit the tires. They are 3.75" backspacing. These pics show the paint chips, it needs a paint job.

TCC Lockup Switch/Interior Shots

If you look at the ash tray you can see my cheap alternative to locking up the torque converter. It is a temporary toggle switch to engage and disengage it until I make something more permernant. The purpose for the switch is that when you remove the Ecm and CCC carb the torque converter will not lockup because it doesn't have any feedback to know when it should. The trans will still shift with all four gears but you will lose the fuel economy of the lock up converter. With a switch you can lock it up for when your on the highway.

Anyone can do this with a toggle switch and two wires. Attach the wires to your switch. Locate the ALDL connector near the ash tray. Take one wire and push it into the "A" terminal (top row farthest left). Take the other wire and push it into the "F" terminal (top row farthest right). Now you can lockup the torque converter when ever you want, although it is recommended only to do it in overdrive unless you have a pretty stout trans and torque converter. Don't forget to unlock every time you come to a stop, my car has stalled out occasionally when I forgot to unlock it. Check out this page under the drivetrain tech section for information on the TCC.
