Current Progress in the Garage

Im in the process of re-doing the cross-member for the true dual exhaust. The one I had made was not done properly and I have been paranoid of it ever since. I had a pretty bad vibration on the highway so Im also replacing the trans-mount, only $7.99.

Heres a pic of the exhaust and the trans, a 200-4r of course. Its quite leaky underneathe, gotta see if oil might be coming out of the oil pressure sender.

Heres an interesting tag I found on the trans, stating its a CZF.

Here is my poor example of how to make a cross member :). What really happend was we didnt quite measure up right for the notch. I had the trans jacked up and the car wasn't sitting down so when I lowered the trans & motor the cut was way off. I attempted to fix it and basically just welded some band-aids to the thing because I wanted to put the car on the road. I'm short on money so I decided to skip the G-Force and just make another one.

The new mount is slightly different, I don't expect it to be a problem though.

Here's the Precision Industries torque converter I purchased from Jeff D, still waiting to be installed. When I get the money together for the trans the converter will be installed.

Heres a picture of the new cross-member as of 5/5/01.

The new cross-member modified by a friend of mine. This one came out much better and a lot stronger. With the new trans-mount I got rid of a lot of my vibration problems on the highway. The car feels better than ever.
