Happenings with the heart
Bring various illusions
Of what is to be.
In two places in you
It creates its own rules
Deciding when to feel this
And when to let go.
Although this can be overwritten
To do what is mindfully right
Great power from within is needed
Especially when hurt is involved.
The heart will only be repaired
When the cause of the breakage
Is let go.
Not forgotten,
Not blocked out,
But let go
And occasionally forgiven.
And then moving forward
Is the best of many possibilities
For your life to follow.
And when it fits together
With another heart
The joy can be overwhelming
And the missing is even greater,
But it's worth it all.
It's worth all the confusion.
The hurt that is let go
And makes the heart stronger.
The learning from the past,
Living in the present.
It's worth all you go through,
Once you get there -
In the end.
