Bulldog’s mother Bernice visits to meet Roz, and is surprised to learn that they don’t plan on having the baby baptized. Bulldog pesters Roz into doing it but she refuses, causing a rift between her and Bernice. Bulldog’s attempts to settle the argument between them are useless, especially when his mom finds out that he and Roz don’t plan on getting married. Hoping to resolve the conflict before the birth, he decides to stage a fake marriage proposal, which Roz mistakenly thinks is sincere and accepts! Now Bulldog must set things straight, while keeping both Roz and his mother happy at the same time.
