Gil Makes a New Friend
Gil makes friends with John, an insurance salesman who turns out to be involved with Ann Hodges. Gil begins to feel like a third wheel when John keeps inviting both him and Ann to various social events, and worries that he is interrupting their romance. However, when Ann suddenly dumps John and he becomes depressed, boring and downright dislikeable, Gil struggles to end their friendship. Meanwhile, Roz tries to get out of going to a charity event with her loathsome sister Denise, but ends up being sent on a guilt trip each time.
