Sex in the Noob Above the Law
Written By: Alyssa Lyonesse
The other day, some friends and I were in a tavern having a few drinks and shooting the shit as we watched other patrons shoot each other. Lawlessness prevailed. I yawned as I looked about the room and shook my head in despair. Autos everywhere, boring, meaningless autos. (Don't get me wrong, dear noobs...autos are fine for the novice, we understand that you are learning, but sometimes, we yearn for that truly outrageous, gut-wrenching, side-splitting, acrobatic maneuver that blows us away, catches us up in the spirit of it all and carries us to mayhem.) I heard someone say that it seemed everyone in the place was...above the law and that was the last of the conversation I heard. As I sat back, relaxed and disengaged, I was spirited away to a time when newness ruled...above the law...I smiled and shifted in my chair and mused...above the law...Johnny Law, johnny_law77 to be precise. It is my great hope that every noob has the pleasure of making an acquaintance such as he. I laughed out loud at an apparent appropriate time as no one raised a brow at me in my musings, and remembered dancing naked atop tables and bars with him, tripping over bottles and glasses, patrons and tenders and stumbling about like blithering idiots. Some of the patrons joined in, others found us trifling, some iggied us, but we never cared. We played strip twister in the middle of inns and taverns, brothels, beaches, and forests where I found myself gleefully contorted above him on many occasions, and once, I invited him to a formal dinner where he arrived in a single, stunning black bow tie! (twas the best meal I ever had, and I believe the next morning, I was the one wearing the tie...no, no...he was wearing it...just on another part of his anatomy.) No matter what I was in the midst of, if he staggered into a bar, I was lost. I can't remember how many times I helped him up off the floor, and if I couldn't get him up, well, I laid right down there with him. Hell, sometimes I slept right on top of him, especially if we were outside. Drunk people hardly move at all, you know, you can sleep on one for hours. My point is, sweets, that autos are short lived in the world of rp and its rules, but while you are in your alotted auto time, wear it out! Go to the extreme! Be decadent, outrageous, extraordinary, unconscionable, comical, devious, or horrid. You'll have a fabulous time, and you'll be surprised how much you can learn! I can't tell you how many awe-inspiring positions we attained during our strip twister days...and why Johnny Law is, and always will be, a legend in my mind and why there are few other places I would rather be than, above the law.

In her new novel, perennial bestseller Anne Rice fuses her two uniquely seductive strains of narrative--her Vampire legend and her lore of the Mayfair witches--to give us a world of classic deep-south luxury and ancestral secrets. Welcome to Blackwood Farm: soaring white columns, spacious drawing rooms, bright, sun-drenched gardens, and a dark strip of the dense Sugar Devil Swamp. This is the world Of Quinn Blackwood, a brilliant young man haunted since birth by a mysterious doppelganger, "Goblin," a spirit from a dream world that Quinn can't escape and that prevents him from belonging anywhere. When Quinn is made a vampire, losing all that is rightfully his and gaining an unwanted immortality, his doppelganger becomes even more vampiric and terrifying than Quinn himself. As the novel moves backward and forward in time, from Quinn's boyhood on Blackwood Farm to present day New Orleans, from ancient Athens to 19th century Naples, Quinn seeks out the legendary vampire Lestat in the hope of freeing himself from the spectre that draws him inexorably back to Sugar Devil Swamp and the explosive secrets it holds. A story of youth and promise, of loss and the search for love, of secrets and destiny, Blackwood Farm is Anne Rice at her mesmerizing best.
Deep in the Hausruck Mountains of Austria, there is a remote hideaway--the fortress-like nerve center of an ominous movement, the Brotherhood of the Watch. American Agent Harry Latham has penetrated the movement, a neo-Nazi organization that was born in the days after the Third Reich's defeat and whose deadly tentacles have spread to the United States and beyond. Now, after three years in deep cover, and on the eve of his most spectacular success, Harry Latham has disappeared. Drew Latham, Special Officer for Consulat Operations in Paris, is frantic to discover his older brother's fate. But when he receives the sudden good news that Harry has surfaced, gut-twisting doubts arise. Has Harry's cover been blown? And if so, why has the Brotherhood of the Watch let him live? For Harry Latham has emerged with an exposive list: the secret supporters of the movement, among them some of the highest raking officials in the United States and its allies, names synonymous with honorable service to their nations. It is a document that could topple governments--but is the list legitimate? Can Drew Latham trust his own brother? To find the answer Drew Latham decides to take on his brother's identity, stepping directly into the crossfire between the assassins gunning for Harry Latham--and those who want Drew himself dead. From a hushed Alpine valley to the backstreets of Paris, from the ruling chambers of Washington and London to the casinos of Monte Carlo, The Apocalypse Watch is vintage Robert Ludlum (author of The Bourne Identity), a superb international thriller from the writer who created the standard for a new kind of entertainment.
Antichrist has assembled the armies of the world in the Valley of Megiddo for what he believes will be his ultimate triumph of the ages. With a victory here he would ascend to the throne of God. The Tribulation Force has migrated to the Middle East, most ensconced at Petra with the Jewish Remnant, now more than a million strong. But only one of the four original members of the Force remains alive, and he is near death. Jerusalem is falling to the Global Community's Unity Army, and Tsion ben-Judah has been slain. Few in Petra know of his loss, and both Rayford Steele and Buck Williams are unaccounted for. It's been just over seven years since the Rapture and almost exactly seven years since Antichrist's covenant with Israel. Believers look to the heavens for the Glorious Appearing of Christ, as the world stand on the brink of the end of time.
