We're fighting against you; we make your life hell. We tell you you're an idiot and have a quick retort to everything you say. Your opinions mean nothing to us; you're always wrong. You're impolite, impudent, and without knowledge of how life really is. Your ability to comprehend even the simplest of phrases is below the charts; YOU ARE NOT WORTH OUR TIME.

You are in a social class completely opposite of us. Your feelings, your emotions, they mean nothing. No one cares about you and your problems. You're far to self absorbed to notice anyone beside yourself.

However, there is something you should know. we care, truly care. We have had our share of hard times. We know what we speak of, and when we degrade you, that flash of something unmentionable in our eyes, it is not hate, it is compassion. We feel for you like no one else can. When you're pushed in the hallways we are the silent protectors that, moments later, put a black eye on your predators face. When you hear a faint whisper in the wind, a small compliment, that is us.

When you have to go up in front of class and give a report, your hands shaky and your thoughts erratic, we are the first ones to clap when you finish. We smile when you sit down. When that kid next to you elbows you to copy your homework, we are the ones burning holes into his soul for taking such horrid advantage of you.

Yes, we are hypocrites. We are the ones truly at fault. Without us there would be no pain. Without us there would be no healing. We are your enemies; your protectors.

You have no idea how much we truly do for you. We like it that way.
