Top 10 Tips for Vice Presidents of Education

1.  Join your president in setting a vision of President's Distinguished for your club by challenging everyone to earn an education (CTM/ATM) or leadership (CL/AL) track designation by June 30.

2.  Be a role model by earning an education or leadership track designation yourself.

3.  Encourage long-time members to earn another CTM by June 30.

4.  Give members incentive awards for completing their third, fifth and eighth manual speeches on the way to earning a CTM or ATM designation.

5.  Give a speech in July encouraging all members to give manual speeches anytime they speak--in the club and outside the club (as long as another Toastmasters member can evaluate them).

6.  Buy a meeting idea book, such as the District 6 Cookbook, and use a new idea at least one meeting a month.

7.  Display a set of all advanced manuals at each meeting to give members incentive to earn each advanced designation.

8. Review your club's Distinguished Club Program updates on the Toastmasters International Web site the 15th of each month and report updates to the club.

9. Use the club speech contest as a time to encourage manual speeches and get everyone who is eligible to participate.

10.  Schedule a guest speaker monthly to share communication or leadership topics with the club to add variety to meetings.
