6am s Too Early

The sky is so dark it blends
With the silhouette of the trees
Like ripples on the water
In the deep of night
When the entire world fades away.

Everything blurs around me
Standing there as billions of crickets
Sound off one by one just as I start to
Really awake, I sit down, and blast
Music until I can no longer think.

Then more of the day,
I spend crushing down the voice
That once controlled me, there are
Others there now, too many to count.
They are too many now for me to control,
So I do what they say like their little lamb
Being led to slaughter, unaware of what will happen.
