About Us
DON BOSCO PUGAD is a non-stock, non-profit sectarian and non-governmental charitable institution that aims to assist financially challenged young men in developing the skills necessary for working and becomming an integrated part of society.
PUGAD stands for "Parish Urchins Gathered at Don Bosco." It started after the transfer of Tuloy Foundation, a government-run center for the poor. PUGAD envisions their organization as a house of faith, friendship, and love for poor young men hoping to have a vocational education to become a more responsible and dignified citizens, under the guidance of God, Mary Help of Christians, and Saint John Bosco. DON BOSCO PUGAD: Home for Street Children and Migrant Youth is a house of faith, friendship and love for underprivileged young brothers striving to gain a vocational education to become more responsible and dignified citizens under the guidance of God, Mary, Christians and Saint John Bosco.
Mission
Moved by Christian love and charity, DON BOSCO PUGAD: strives to:
1. Provide character formation to the outh under its care, based on Saint John Bosco's preventive system: reason, religion and loving kindness.
2. Increase the awareness and involvement of the Saint John Bosco Makati parish community and the Philippine society in general, in the transformation of the PUGAD yout as responsible Christians.
3. Nurture the bond of the youth with their families as they become more productive members of society.
