For unsupported machines, enter the following into Terminal to manually raise system fan speed to max RPM:

sudo kextunload -b com.apple.driver.AppleFan

Similarly, enter the following to return fan speeds to normal:

sudo kextload -b com.apple.driver.AppleFan
